    I think his videos are exactly what you need; enough detail to get the job done + simple techniques to assist with the assembly and dis-assembly. Also, what you do not see/hear, as you do in so many how to videos, is the mindless chatter. There is so much to like about this video, the time shifting, additional comments, part focus the short callouts with what he is doing while he is doing it, the torque specs.... In short, after watching this video, I am confident I could do this!

    If may resolve the issue if the harness is bad. You may want to inspect the harness first to see if it's damaged before ordering the part. We carry new ABS harnesses for your 2003 Chevy Suburban on our website 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

    I am getting the anti-lock light on and off. Sometimes the anti-lock brakes engage and vibrate on a hard dry surface when stopping and no light comes on. Sometimes they work just fine. It's a 2004 Chevy Venture Van....Thanks so much for your videos. They help a lot and your new parts service is great as well.....Thanks

    You may want to check all of the steering and suspension components and replace what is worn. You may also want to check the wheel bearings to see if they are okay.

    @doyouliketowatch If you have any warning lights on in the dash, I would pull the code and see what they are pointing too. If you have a bad hub I would replace it first to see if it also resolves the ABS issue. Hope this helps out you out.

    Great video! I am going to dig into mine and change it this weekend. I have a 2005 Silverado 2500HD and have been having the same problem with the brakes letting go under 5mph when stopping. The truck pulls to the right when stopping so I figure the left front sensor is bad. again thanks for posting the video.

      I also think its a good idea to clean the rust off of the hub where the sensor goes in. The reason these things stop working properly is because the rust causes the sensor to move away from the reluctor wheel and not get a proper reading.

  • @1AAuto
    @1AAuto  Před 12 lety

    If you have fixed what the code was pointing to, you might have to clear the code to get it to turn off. You could try that and see what happens.

  • @1AAuto
    @1AAuto  Před 12 lety

    @nomanali43 You may want to have the code scanned.This should tell you which side may be bad. Hope this helps you out.

  • @1AAuto
    @1AAuto  Před 12 lety

    It may be similar. One end should plug into the back of the hub and the other end should plug into the harness on the vehicle.

  • @rjleonardcrossfit
    @rjleonardcrossfit Před 12 lety

    I have heard with the problem with these years are the rest on the hub builds up and slightly moves the sensor away from the gears making the sensor read slightly different at low speeds. I was told I should try to pull the senor and try to remove some of the rust underneath it so that it will read correctly again and if it still doesnt work then replace the sensor

    We carry a new economy hub for your Jimmy that's not a whole lot of money. Here's the Part Number: 1ASHF00007 It's a brand new hub with the sensor. Now if the 4WD isn't working, your 4WD runs on vacuum. Check all of the vacuum lines under the hood to see if there's a leak or a broken line that could cause it not to engage. There's also a 4WD vacuum actuator that tends to go bad on these trucks Part Number: 1AFWA00002 on our website 1aauto.com you may also want to take a look at it.

    I'm driving a 2003 Chevy 1500 suburban 4x4. When I hit bumps with my front right tire the ABS light comes on and what sounds like the door dinger goes off ("ding, ding, ding"). Code it's throwing is CO223 which I've looked up to be erratic front right wheel speed sensor, is this most likely the part I need to change to fix the problem? Your help is greatly appreciated.

    I have an 06 Sierra 2WD and my ABS would kick in while I was slowing down, almost stopped. I was told to pull the ABS relay and see if it went away, which it did, then I was told that it was a bearing hub going and that the ABS sensor wasn't reading the speed properly. My question is, is it just the sensor, or is the hub?

    First off, thanks for the videos. Several of yours have helped me in the past. I just replaced the ABS sensor on the right front of my 02 chev silverado. • @1AAuto
      @1AAuto  Před 9 lety

      Was the ABS light on before, and if so is this why the repair was made. You may also want to check the brake fluid level in the reservoir. Also, it may be possible that the other side is bad, if it wasn't replaced.
