    Every time I work on my Silverado, no matter how simple the job, I watch your videos so I know what is needed, what sockets, what tools. Makes life 10x easier when you don't have to keep fumbling around for the right tools. Videos also are very helpful and informative and give you that extra help when doing maintenance you haven't done. Well done 1A Auto

    I hadn't replaced shocks on a vehicle since I was in my 20's!
    I used your video as a refresher course on the procedure and it worked to a T.
    It took me about 45 minutes to install both shocks on the rear axle of my truck with no lift and without removing the back tires.
    Thank you for being willing to show this to the general public. I was able to save over $300 by doing it myself!

    Thanks for the video Mike, and letting me know that I don't have to lift the vehicle to do this job. If I can get underneath it, and it's secure, lifting, chocking, and supporting the axle with jack stands, just seems to be a mute point. :)

    How do you know if rear shocks need replacing? The front is easy enough to tell as it bounces around more than the back with the leaf springs. The back seems trickier to tell.

    • @1AAuto
      @1AAuto  Před 7 lety

      +MrSnowrocks You will generally be looking for the same sort of symptoms, but if they are just as old as the fronts then it is a good idea to just do them.
