Seared Ahi Tuna & Lo Mein Cooked Over Charcoal

  • There's nothing better than cooking an entire meal over Royal Oak Charcoal on a Hasty Bake Legacy!
    Ingredients:
    - 2 Ahi Tuna Steaks
    - 1⁄4 cup diced carrot
    - 1⁄4 Cup Everything
    - Bagel Seasoning
    - 1⁄2 Shallot
    - 2 tsp. All Que’d Up
    - Steak Shake
    - 1 pack of Lo Mein Noodles (cooked to package instructions)
    - 3 Cloves of Minced Garlic
    - 2 Tbsp Oyster Sauce
    - 1/8 Cup Chopped Cabbage
    - 2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
    - 1/2 sliced Red Bell Pepper
    - Vegetable Oil
    - 1⁄2 sliced Orange Bell Pepper
    - 1-2 Tbsp. Diced Ginger
    Directions:
    1. Season Tuna with Steak Shake and Everything Bagel Seasoning
    (use a binder if you’d like)
    2. Prep Vegetables
    3. Fire up the royal oak charcoal!
    4. Heat a wok over the charcoal on a grate, season the pan with
    vegetable oil
    5. Add in your garlic and ginger and cook until aromatic
    6. Add in your carrots and onion
    7. Once carrots and onion are starting to cook, add in bell peppers
    8. Cook vegetables until they are about half way done, then add pre
    cooked lo mein noodles cooked per package instructions
    9. Stir well, then add in oyster sauce and soy sauce.
    10. Continuing stir frying, adding more oil if necessary, until
    vegetables reach desired level of doneness.
    11. Add in chopped cabbage and toss. Set aside to cook tuna.
    12. Get your fire very hot, tuna is traditionally served rare-raw in
    the center.
    13. Sear each side of the tuna for 30-45 seconds until desired
    sear is reached. Remove.
    14. Make a bed of your vegetable lo mein and top it with your ahi
    tuna steak sliced thin.

    Looks great! Honestly I’ve never had seared tuna. I need to give that a go!

      It’s so light and fresh! That’s why I didn’t do much to it. I love tuna, and I love it raw in sushi. Just a little crust adds a different flavor and texture.
