Great series what a build! It needs a tiny little turbo bolted on please - welded, chopped or whatever it takes. BTW did my first car show yesterday at All Japan Day Adelaide with my Forester (at the age of 43) inspired by you guys. Thank you!

thank you for not modifying the bearing or shaft with the lathe, as it requires specific tolerances / fits to work well

Love it guys! Would love to see a turbo in it but understand that you have a bucket load of projects to smash out
Generally can back off one single adjuster 2 or 3 turns and pull the carrier out. Pull the ring gear off and and install the locker, etc. Then reinstall it and tighten the adjuster to its original location. Then you’re done. Don’t need to check lash on anything.
When it'll get boost, it's gonna be the best build you ever did in my opinion. So unique and cool.
Moog is secretly a hacky sack champion!
To sum up this video we watched 11 minutes of working on the Midget, 2 minutes of plugs for merch and 45 seconds of slow motion drifting. I want to see that thing drift and hear the side pipe, or even just see it accelerating it’s all build with no finale
Australia really needs more cars like these. Love to see a zippy little SMART car designed to be a single seater. But of course, it's frustrating that Australia has such tight legislation and build requirements for cars. That said, this was a great series to watch!

When it inevitably gets a turbo (Or maybe even a tiny supercharger) I hope that it will be known as the Skidget.

Attention to detail guys. The spare is still wired to the front of the vehicle, the battery looks like it's been gaffer taped in and no effort to set the lash on the diff.
That last one is pretty important for the correct operation of the vehicle.
Sure you emphasised in the video of going to a diff shop to have a diff properly installed and that advice is basically repeated in the video description but setting the lash is not that hard and doing car mods shouldn't be only for cheque book enthusiast.
Might make for quicker production time, cutting those corners but when you sell those cars and the buyers go on line and complain about the diff blowing up after 500klm because the lash wasn't set correctly and other lack of finish issues. It'll negatively impact your reputation.
I'm sure you've seen the same sort of thing happen with restaurants. They become super popular. Lots of people turn up and then their standards drop in favour of quantity to pump out lots of meals (think videos) and then people stop coming back.
I love that you still haven't fitted the bracket for the spare wheel. Priorities! 😂

Nice work on the diff blokes, I've done a few like this, never had an issue, just making sure there is a little backlash. I just installed an LSD in my Escort on the weekend so well timed! Yet to try it out, later this week.
