Something to note around Mighty Car Mods: we are normal guys and are not trained mechanics. We like to make interesting car mods and show you how we've gone about it, but we can't promise that anything we show you will work for your particular car, or that you won't harm yourself, someone else, your car or your warranty doing it. Please be safe, be responsible and unless you know what you're doing, do not fool around with very serious machinery just because you've seen us make it look so easy. Talk to a qualified mechanic if you are in any doubt. Some of the products featured in this video may be supplied by sponsors. For a list of our current sponsors please go to mightycarmods.com - Auta a dopravní prostředky
We were reminded just how fun a little nugget hatchback can be when we borrowed some cars at a circuit in Japan last year. As soon as we got home we started hunting for something similar, turning a bog standard Swift into a track day thrasher. Hope you enjoy this video and thanks for watching!
"Guaranteed to increase power"
Moog just loose the wind deflectors. They just don't go with the car. If they were tinted maybe, crystal clear no way.
Please import a Glanza V if you want the best nugget hatchback in the world!
Please bring this challenge and Peugeobro back!
I'm pretty sure there is a version of the Swift that has a proper six-speed full sequential g'box. I'd be looking at that mod at some point. And then maybe an electric super charger from TorqAmp.
I like the honesty to what's sponsored and what's cash out of your own pocket, very rare sight these days from channels
Love the fact you can always buy a faster car, but the passion projects you guys put out is what being part of the car community is all about, taking an old gem and making it the car you envision is always way more of an experience! This is awesome you guys are awesome and cant wait to get my chopped shirt!
I dont see any passion in the build here. Buying super expensive rims and seats while that money could be invested in improving the engine, brakes, suspenison and possibly transmission. The air intake part just demonstrates this perfectly. Buying expensive parts rather than trusting physics is what this build was about.
I am having dejavu like I have seen all this before. Oh wait, I have. I watched the original build series. I am glad you made a condensed version for all of us that don't have time for an 11 part series. I really want to get start in the project car life. I have been watching these guys for like 11 years and there has been nothing that I haven't liked. Keep up the good work guys. Hello from the Arctic Circle.
I'm just wondering the same thing? Have i watched this already
YES WE DID
The Arctic Circle? So your project car is going to be a snowmobile?
@@ChristopherHallett hahaha
I just fixed that exact same oil leak on my little nugget. There is a trick so thought I'd share it. You don't have to remove the ac compressor or the exhaust, instead remove the front bumper and you can access the bolts front on & it gives you heaps of room due to the swift having a small radiator. I used a 1/4" drive ratchet with flexi and a ratchet spanner. No need to drain the coolant either just move the housing to the side with the line still connected and pull the gasket out.
I got a 2009 Suzuki Swift Sport as my first car last summer, I took it on a 2000km roadtrip through Germany and had an absolute blast.
But if it wouldn't have been for the videos you guys made about these I would have scrolled past it on the market place on my quest for a fun first car, I thought it was kinda boring at first but I absolutely fell in love with it the moment I sat down in it and later realized it was probably the best thing I could have gotten with my budget.
I have a normal 2010 Suzuki Swift in India and yes its not as powerful as the swift sport but uts certainly fun!

This gen of swift was always a gem!
That intake is horrendous. K&N should be more ashamed than usual.
Literally. 500 bucks for that is disgusting
But on the bright side they got confirmed dyno proof it kills power
Atrocious k&n. They literally paid 440$ for the flexible tube alone. Pod filters are less than 60 bucks..
@@Partnerthedog Err, no, you missed the bit that houses the MAF, but that doesn't excuse the totally ridiculous ripoff that intake represents.
Pod filters being useless shouldn't surprise anyone.
Rented one at the Nurburgring 13 years ago, full roll cage, bucket seats, ohlins suspension, good brakes, semis, ceramic clutch... ABSOLUTELY loved it. the best example that, low weight with a good setup is much better than pure HP
The production quality on this episode is beyond professional studio quality. You guys really knocked it out of the park this time.
Fantastic work as always.
Beyond lol
Best mechanic duo on CZcams !!!
Please don't ever break up this partnership !!! NO MATTER WHAT !!!!
This needs more Monster parts. Then it could be a 50k Suzuki Swift
Thanks for reminding me how good Cash vs Trash was. I reckon a Season 2 where each of you get the same make and model nugget (e.g. Honda Jazz) would be a lot of fun.
Yes a Jazz would be the perfect MCM car! Surprised they haven't done one yet.
It has the feel of an older honda civic that you just don't get anymore in modern cars@@ArmySigs
This is Donut's Hi/Low series.
ZC32S driver here (fiancée owns it). I've been into Hondas and old Nissans for years, and quite honestly the Swifts are one of those cars that give you the same kind of connected feel and playfulness that so many modern cars lack. It's not scarily quick, but it's quick enough to get you to pace very easily, and keep you at a level you can really learn at. Driving one hard reminds me a lot of old EK4 Civics.
Unironically one of the maddest cars you’ve ever built. Reminded me of the dream build I had for my first car. Love a tiny NA high revver.
one of the best mods i did to mine was fitting a rear swaybar! settled the tendency for them to lift off oversteer recently sold my one and loved every moment of it.
I had a Simota intake on my swift which came with a 45 degree maf housing to relocate the filter to the front of the engine bay, would definitely recommend flipping the intake pipe that goes onto the throttle body to get the filter away from the block as they do tend to run a bit hot 😅 wicked car & wicked video boys 🤙🏼
i dig the recap, but that means you two are working on something big…..!!
i love your year end videos, and am looking forward to seeing what you have in store for us !!
Great video. I watched the original build videos for the Swift. Glad to see it getting more love.
wow honestly i watched this video with pure happiness in my eyes. the swift was my first car and i still have her. did all the same mods u guys did but on a cheap budget so im up to £4000 so far. this car is so fun even tho it doesnt make a lot of power always puts a smile on ur face. with the right tyre setup it grips too and its quiet oversteer happy rather than understeer. was so happy when i saw the manifold i have the same one and it really makes the car sounds so good. tad raspy but if u keep a res or a sport backbox doesnt sound a bad raspy. i always send it in this thing and pretend like im in rally. thank you for showing everyone else what a fun little build the swifty can be.
Wow that K&N filter setup is a rip-off.
Agreed, Stock intake will be way more consistent
A total rip off, and the trade-off as Moog says, more flow=less filtration with K&N. Plus it’s now a hot air intake, losing pretty much any gains, and except for the intake borp noise that’s it.
They ended up with the stock as it works better.
That's what you get when a quality company sells out to investors that exploit a name for short term money. 🤷♂️
Anybody could of told you that lol.
@@patrickfargie1146 well, they didn't so I did.
I'm in the process of building a Daihatsu Cuore with a stock YRV 1.3 turbo engine, which through engine to weight ratio, will put out 185 bhp. It's within the charms of the original Mighty Car Mods "Make Your Slow Car Fast" video from 12 years ago. I'm building it for under £1500, which is roughly the price of Moogs Suzuki Swift', Tein coilovers. I'm a little shocked at how expensive the Suzuki Swift is to copy, compared to the original Daihatsu Cuore.
My dad has the yrv turbo, fun little rocket. Suprisingly fast,, even stock. I have the Ignis 1.5 sport. Cool little nuggets, good luck with your build👍
You are so right! The Suzuki Swift Sport is a real little rocket. I am the proud owner of a Suzuki Swift Sport MZ "Rock am Ring" and love every day with it.
A rocket? What world do you live in
Thanks For Always Being Honest And Testing The Air Intakes. I Appreciate It.
I’ve ordered a Cheryl’s box for Christmas for myself, I can’t wait to get it, thanks lad for being awesome and making great CZcams content
Fell in love with these from the rally cars. Always wanted to own one of these growing up but not easy being in the US.
Such great cars.
I've been wanting to mod my newer gen swift for awhile now. this video gives me the inspo on what to do. thanks for the great video!
Time to order Cheryls big box for Christmas!. I was rewatching some season 2/3, you guys have always been awesome..hope you never stop 🤙
My favourite CZcams notification is ‘mighty car mods just uploaded a video’ thanks guys! Awesome vid!
Bro really just spent $500 to replace an efficient, effective factory cold air intake with a hot grit hoover.
Nice job on the music variety on this one guys! Love the variety!❤
Love Moogs heavier stuff! Love the normal stuff too but a change is good 👍
Sometimes I forget how much effort and time is spent in the production of these videos. It makes it all the more hilarious when you see a random non-episode related thing, because you know they saw itnin the footage and thought "that's a bit funny, chuck it in!" Like the guy running across the entrance to the traffic circle 😂
Love this style of modding because it's financially relatable to a lot of us ❤
I have to say blair back to you and me has grown on me massively! incredible work mate
the thing i love about you guys is your different you build things that are fun.
i loved your swift, looks great! keep the good work mate
Great episode! Keep up the amazing work 👌
As always, great music and amazing content. Thank you.
I love the vids moog and Marty keep up the good work
Great recap on the swift boys, hope your Xmas is looking good, peace from Brissy
Great setup on the swift love the episode
i love all the work you guys do. love the addition of putting the song that's playing in the videos can you add that moving forward. i love your music guys. thanks!!!
I recently picked up the latest swift sport. Such a riot to drive. Feels like an old school hot hatch. Brisk without being overly rapid. Refreshingly simple and solid.
Your music is so damn good dude, it adds so much to the show.
Awesome episode as always guys!
Thank you MightyCarMods for this video! Im from Singapore and i plan on getting a swift for my first car after my license! I really needed a Swift Build video but couldn’t find one, so thank you very much on this video of your nugget build!
Yup, for better chassis stiffness I would add Beatrush fender bars. To reduce the roll summit RARB and a cusco FARB. Intake, one can go crazy with a suzuki sport ITBs or for me a trust intake. Exhaust same but with a Sunline single endcan. The factory bonnet is quite heavy stock so a CF one will help reduce weight. At higher speed track, a greddy sump guard helps to smooth the air flow under the engine creating 0 lift. For better grip out the corners a LSD will help it tons. Finally, just for the engine sake, a monster sports oil sump baffle plate... due to the oil pick up location, at certain Gs in a corner, it can't pick up oil and can cause premature failure.
This Video convinced me to go upgrade my 1.5 Suzuki swift to a Suzuki swift sport in the near future, thanks alot fellas love the content.
This felt like an old scool episode of MCM, enjoyed this one fellas!
Driving fast in a slow car is more fun then driving fast in the fast car. Because you know the fast car is capable of doing so unlike slow car. Great to see you enjoy driving it and the exhaust sounds great!
Watching this video and seeing Moog's enthusiasm hits different after watching that crossfit video. You're a legend; even if you say Z wrong.
He's Aussie and says it how most people do in Australia. Considering this is an Aussie Channel, you're currently the one who says it wrong.
@drh713 it's definitely pronounced "zed" not "zee".
Now let's talk about you driving on the wrong side of the road 😂
Zed is how it’s pronounced when spoken and taught English all over the world. Here in the US are the ones calling it va “zee”… lol, great idea when you already have the letter C 😂
I have the 2nd gen Swift Sport, it's such a fun little car. I changed from the original 17" wheels to 16" though, since it gives the option for wider tires and a bigger sidewall allows the tire to work a little better. The rolling diameter of the tires is also a little smaller, which makes the car even more punchy. An exhaust change is a must on these cars, they are way too muted with the stock exhaust. Next on my list is brake pads and coilovers (if the TÜV plays nicely).
Saw the Swift Sport for the first time in Singapore. And I absolutely love it. Sad that its not available where I currently live but would love to make a base sport to bring it as close to this one.
Nice to see people having fun with regular cars!
I bought the newer model of the 1.6 sport about 2 months ago. I've owned Impreza and fast Audi's. But this thing is so much fun I love my nifty swifty. Great content as always
That exhaust Sound ❣️🤤
I love your music Moog keep up the awesome tracks.
@19:00 2015 vibes!! Love that song of yours's Moog (All in your mind), what a throwback! 🤩
I upgraded to zc33s last year it's now 1.4 but turbo, power feels about same but new chassis is super rigid, ride much improved. Try one sometime if you have chance
I love the sound track for this mod!
Absolutely loved the score to this one boys!
I loved driving the JDM swift!!!! it was so fun throwing it around~
Yes, wheels tyres, seats and a must have, full race harness. Out of all the mods I used for hillclimbs, my race harness gave me almost 2 seconds. Sure my R spec rubber also gave me 2 seconds, but the harness gave me that for 30% of the cost of rubber. And do them in stages, and take notes and see if you can get videos or pictures in corners so you can see what happens when the car is loaded. You need data like entry and exit speeds, tyre temp and suspension changes. That may sound like "over the top" , but if you want to go as fast as the vehicle is capable of, then you must collect data. And get a track app that allows you to see what happened.
Perfect timing ❤
Awesome build! Love these little budget pocket rockets! Ever thought of building a Mini cooper s r53? Supercharged symphony!
one of my favorite nugget videos . i got a ignis & i hope one day i can do all this
Great video, as always, and might I say; the song starting at 3:00 is one bad ass jam!
Love the car and love the music in this episode 🤘
Take a shot every time Moog days "Japan".
Thanks for the video! Great to see the Swift again.
Good to hear you making the hardcore style music you like.
Great job!!!
Finally some zuki love! Still waiting on that mighty boy episode. ❤
Great choice! The swift sport is a fantastic track car.
I like these complete episodes.
This was already uploaded? I remember... Anyway... Great video... Cant wait for the christmas surprise video with the little nugget
Awesome build! My first car is a Suzuki Swift MT. Had to sell it to get a bigger family car. Swifts have a special place in my heart and hopefully someday I can get one again.
This is why I love my race setup nugget, my 1989 Nissan Pao 🥰
Honestly, i think this generation of the Suzuki Swift is underrated, they're a nice kit for not too much, and i think they look good too. And yeah, you can supe these up quite nicely.
Love the tunes !!
this generation of swift is where it's at, it feels the rawest, such fun!
3 words: Good Quality Content
@2:45 - @2:51 - knowing the experts still learn new things is what motivates me!
I fell like this was Moog's audition video for Top Gear
Knowing we have a movie coming in couple weeks makes my days viewing mint as all fcck. Cannot wait for the annual feature length movie guys. Up the MCM
Looks like the one in one of Mishas videos on the Nurburgring. Stuck with him pretty well as he was driving a V10 powered M3. They look good in the corners man.
can we take a moment to appreciate how much the soundtrack slaps on this video ? so good
I'd love to see you guys with a 1.6 Ecoboost Fiesta ST. Talk about MAD from the factory. Plus takes to mods very well.
Love that video ! Still need this rock song !!!! 🎉
Amazing love a mcm video
Loved weds alloys and color is the killer ❤
Wohoo! More Suzuki Swift Sport content on MCM!! X-mas came early! ;)
Ive recently purchased a little chevy sonic ltz hatch. Turbocharged 1.4 is kinda fun doing the speed limit on back roads. 😅
Swift was my dream car growing up, Loved what you done to it. Love from Bharat.
Great to see the headersbeping put on.
That is a hot track, “back to me and you”👍👍
Waaaaaay back in 2009 I was in Germany and went to the nordschlief and rented one of these from rent for ring. Pretty much the same sort of mods but stripped out fully caged and it was a 3 door. Honestly the most fun IV ever had, a highly under rated car.
Got the yellow T love it!
Well done, "Banana Suit Man" Moog those Suzuki Swifts are an amazing icon for rally racing indeed...!
Monster Swift drove by DKsan was one of the best hatch i have ever seen lapped the Tsukuba Circuit. Since then Swift earned a reputation for being a proper pocket rocket track weapon, even beat the Fit as one of best Hot Hatches on Japanese road.
Reminds me of my old mk1 yaris t sport, great cars these small spicy hatchbacks
Never thought I’d want a Swift and here I am wanting one 😂😂😂
