    You might get better mileage aired down off road as the tire will roll over rough terrain rather than hitting them and slowing the tire down and forcing it up. If you feel the tire hitting terrain that’s the car reacting to the terrain and that transfer of energy could reduce fuel economy off road, not to mention your own throttle inputs on and off for smaller rocks you might just maintain speed and roll over if you’re aired down.
    No science just opinion but I always air down if for no other reason to reduce wear on all components. Thanks for the informative videos.

    If fuel is your only reason for not airing down below 25 PSI, you should get a gas can and air down lower. You will get a better ride, better traction and increased puncture resistance.

      Very true indeed. I run about 28-32 in the desert. Only because I only carry one jerry can of extra fuel (which still isn't enough) and have a single air compressor on board. I'd have to go lower for anything worse than a bad road. Maybe in the future a dual compressor is needed. Hmmm Thank you for the comment!

    Just put a set on my f150. So far they are doing great. I have about 300 miles of dirt and gravel road driving and about 1500 miles total.

      That's great news! I'm looking forward to the snow and ice for another update!

    I was gonna ask about wet pavement. I’ve been having some slippage with the AT3 + Ford Tune + Sprint Booster on Sport 8. I need to remember to turn the SB off when it rains.

    • @NorthwestBronco
      @NorthwestBronco  Před 8 měsíci +2

      I can safely say the Trails do have come slippage on wet roads. But, not any worse than any other hybrid tire.
      Looking forward to the snow and ice season for a more detailed review!

    By any chance have you got to try these on snow/ice yet? Im looking at these for my Tacoma but definitely drive on snow/ice during winter both on and off road

      I have a update video coming soon on that topic. But, they did well for me in the snow. No better or worse than other tires. Not bad for a hybrid. On ice, the traction is limited. But what can you do with ice :) I think you would be fine with these tires!

    Ok so i have a ? I have a 2019 F250 supercrew FX4 with 2.5 in front lift with 1 inch bigger rear block. I put on the toyo open country R/T on 18in Icon rebound HD rims, tire size are 37x12.50. I absolutely love these tires im wondering if i should stick with the R/T or go with the R/T Trail in the same size when i do need to replace them. Ive had the R/T tires for a couple years now and they still look great and handle great. Just wanted to know if the new R/T Trail can handle the weight of my big truck, and would i get the same mileage out of them. I drive alot in all different types of terrain and i actually believe im right at or a little over what toyo says the mileage is rated for and they still look like they only have about 20k on them. There really good. Just curious if these have the same rubber compound? Thank you in advance.

      Looks like 3970 is the max load for the R/T Trail tire in 37". That's an E rated tire. The tires in the video a D rated tire in 315". Here's a link to check out more specs on the R/T Trails. I'd love to provide more thoughts for you, but I'm not a tire expert. Just a customer. Looks to me like you would be fine!

    I installed these on my 2020 Ram Power Wagon and got an alignment same day and I’m getting some pretty profound “wah wah wah wah wah wah” type road noise, has anyone else experienced this with these? My alignment is all within spec but the road noise is WAY louder than my original Toyo R/T’s. Some please help!

    • @NorthwestBronco
      @NorthwestBronco  Před 7 měsíci

      I noticed some original noise, but it went away after about a week. Hopefully that's the case with you. Keep us posted here!

    What size tires are they? They look fantastic. Also, what size is the rim/wheel? Thanks

    • @NorthwestBronco
      @NorthwestBronco  Před 7 měsíci

      Thank you. I appreciate your kind words. They are 315x70R17 (Exact dimensions as the factory Sasquatch tire that comes on the Bronco)
      The rims are from a Black Diamond Bronco 17".
      Hope this helps!

      How wide are the rims? I think i heard you say in an earlier video they are a little smaller. Happy Thanks Giving!!
