On a 10 day charter you say "14 days is really the right amount of time for charter". I just went ahead and moved to the Virgin Islands so I don't have to wrestle with these hard questions anymore. Cheers.

At 67 and having some physical challenges, sailing is beyond my ability now. I'm excited about the powerboat adventure. Years ago I spent time on my friend's Hatteras and had a blast.
What you got is cool man. Keep up the good times sorry about your sailboat and the troubles with the system. But things will get better you have good friends and your a good person at heart. And thanks some of us can't do what you do and you make it like we are right there...

I am down for some power boating. I always subscribed because of the travel aspect and being on the water, sailing was interesting but not what kept me coming back. Keep it real and we will will keep watching. Congrats on the new boat!
Good series, guys! I lived in Belize up til 2004, so it was nice seeing familiar places. I was flying for Maya Island Air at the time. Trivia for you Bobby- the C208B Grand Caravan you flew back to Goldson Intl in has V3-HIA as a registration. That registration used to belong to a BN-2 Islander that was lost in a crash near Blancenou (Francis Ford Coppella’s resort) several years ago, piloted by my good friend and chief pilot Chino Tam. The company re-designated one of the 208B’s in remembrance of Chino. Keep up the good work! -Tom

I think a switch over to a power yacht is a brilliant move. I'm retired myself but I have only ever been on sailboats except for visiting boat shows. I always thought the fuel costs would be astronomical . Today though with solar panel technology it may be more reasonable. Can't wait to see the Hateras.

I am moving to Oregon this year and your show has my interests because I love ocean/beaches/islands that hopefully I can do once I am established in FL. Looking forward to your guests. My father bought his first power boat when I was nine. We had a total of four power cruisers in a row, the third of which we had for 30 years and 1 month.
We did our own maintenance except bottom paint. Since we were just local cruisers in Southern California, power boats were great. I even lived on board while in college. Dad said to tell the girls that I had waterfront property - it didn't work. But so many great times.
The Hatteras is one of what we called a 'gold plater'. Definitely a premium boat.

Bobby, Thats fantastic news about selling the sail boat. And YES, I absolutely agree 100% that getting a Attorney that specializes in insurance law would be the thing to do at this point. Especially now that you have your head clear and are not pressed with weekly and monthly cost of keeping the sail boat (Knotty Dogs) at the dock in the condition after the fire. I wish I knew of someone to point you towards for a Attorney. But I'm sure there's a viewer that will be able to do that.

I really like the idea of some power boating. I think doing that and some sailing too will make for some good entertainment. Looking forward to it as well as seeing Amanda & Taylor back aboard.
