  • A green steel crafting video for beginners. In the video I show how to use the green steel crafting planner, how to use the green steel crafting devices and show an example of crafting a green steel concordant opposition cloak.

    I don't normally comment on videos because youtube's comment system is normally so toxic, but I started paying attention to your videos while looking for info on a Druid life and I just wanted to say thank you for all the work you put into this stuff. I've been playing for a couple of years now so I know most of the stuff you do videos on but so many things are impossible for newer players to figure out because no one will bother explaining it and green steel is one of those things. So once again thanks for all work you put into these videos.
    P.S. You changed Druid from my least favorite class to my favorite so kudos

    Thanks, man! Been playing off and on for...years, and haven't done anything towards green steel. I now feel compelled to get out there and make some fun stuff for my main(s).

    crafting chaged a lot since the slavelords update, but this video teachs some aspects newbies like me didn't knew so it still is useful

    I was very curious about green steel, and stumbled upon this guide. You kind of had me hooked in the first sentence, I have played for over 8 years, and I have just avoided green steel. This was SUPER informative and helpful, thank you!!!! Like subbed xD

    Hi Minho!
    I'm glad you like the videos! I have never played monk so have no idea about 12 monk/5 cleric/3 paladin. I would ask in the monk forums.
    I play on the Sarlona server :-)

    Thank you so much for your videos and forum post on your build!!! I've learned so much from them!!! I plan on TR'ing to your pure druid build, but I TR'd to a sorc first for the past life, and my first life was an Arti. I've played druids on other toons, 10Druid/6Monk/1Fighter (too watered down) and 18Druid/2rogue (better, but had to focus too much on trapper skills). Anyway looking forward to pure druid!
    My question on the Shroud, which I haven't done yet, how many times does it take to get enough ingredients for the Cloak?
    Thanks again for sharing so much knowledge!!!

    • @vooduspyce
      @vooduspyce  Před 9 lety

      The only bound ingredients are the shards of power. You can often get plenty of those in a few pugs because most people have all they need already. The rest of the ingredients like the scales, stones, pebbles, etc. are unbound, so can be traded and bought on the auction house. If you're just trying to get them from questing and shrouding, it could take several weeks if you're not using timers and just running 1 shroud every 3 days. But if you have the plat or shards to buy what you need, you could have the ingredients to make a tier 3 green steel within 1 or 2 shrouds after you get the shards.
      Also, shards of power are available from Tower of Despair raid and Devil's Assault quest, which has no timer to re-run it.
      gl and I hope you enjoy the druid build! :-)

    Hey Voodu. First message I send to you. Sorry to dig up an old video but I like to check all your videos (even some lives) and I like your work a LOT! And because of that, I’ll try to get some GS weapons and items for my toon (that had 3 Warlock lives following your tips!).
    So... as your thread on DDO Forum only have your LGS, I’d like to as you for general GS you recommend for mid level.
    I’m from Brazil, sorry if I spelled anything wrong. o/

      on Gingerspyce I like to use a heroic concordant opposition for the sp and charisma skills bonus. I also use a heroic mineral 2 hp item on all my toons. A smoke item is a popular heroic green steel item as well for toons that don't have blur..

    Are any of the Shroud ingredients available if you go in solo or is it suicide?

    • @vooduspyce
      @vooduspyce  Před 7 lety

      Heroic shroud is soloable but I would not recommend that you try it if you don't know the raid well. I also would not advise that you try to solo legendary shroud.

    Is green steel still the greatest thing in Game?

    • @vooduspyce
      @vooduspyce  Před 3 lety

      No, but heroic green can still be fun to use while leveling but probably not worth going out of your way for if you don't already have. Legendary Green Steel is 5 years old and not what it used to be. I wouldn't recommend trying any LGS right because the Feywild expansion will likely change the end game gear scene significantly in a couple months or so.

    As a nerd I like complexity as much as the next man, but this green steel shit and the number of runs it takes to get the mats...well, over my lives I guess by the 10th or so I will have a green steel item.

    • @vooduspyce
      @vooduspyce  Před 9 lety

      I feel ya viper. There was a time when green steel crafting had no barter system and it was even worse! All the mats except the shards of power are unbound so hit up your friends or check the auction house for deals. As much of a pain that it is, it's worth the grind :-)

  • @jameswygle5399
    @jameswygle5399 Před 6 lety

    Dear lord, man, just select the item you want to craft from the list; it'll put the rest of the ingredients in the crafting window. You don't have to drag each one to the window.

    green steel crafting is unnecessarily complicated

    • @vooduspyce
      @vooduspyce  Před 6 lety

      yes it is!! It was even worse when i was a newbie. Some changes were made to make it slightly less enigmatic but it's still ridiculous.
