DDO - How to Craft a Legendary Green Steel item and Use the LGS Crafting Planner

- This one was requested several times and I've been wanting to make a LGS crafting video for a while, but the set bonuses have been enigmatic to me. It seems they are to the community at large as well, but I still wanted to go over the basics of how to make a legendary green steel item and use the YourDDO LGS crafting planner.

IMPROTANT:
The Dominion/Escalation/Opposition components can interfere with competing sets. For example, if you have 1 LGS with 3 tiers of opposition and another piece with 1 tier of opposition, you will get an opposition set bonus. If escalation or dominion is added to the 2nd piece or any other equipped LGS, the set bonus will not apply. Please research LGS set bonuses before you attempt.
Sorry for the confusion, I don't fully understand the set bonus interactions and as far as I can tell there isn't any good information about it. If you find a good writeup about LGS set bonuses, please respond with the link :-)

Side note , I'm on my way to completionist for my 10th life I used the ginger Druid build to knock out my Druid past life !
I enjoyed it , but it was difficult to get use too . At end game ( lvl 30 ) I found myself with a 52 earthquake dc after getting a thungerforged weapon crafted and a 150 ac 120 prr and 80 mrr. I have to admit I have no epic past lives !
Regardless it was a awesome grind to 30 and I really enjoyed it and am considering making it my end life to grind out EPLs !

I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the Gingerspyce druid! I'm not surprised to hear that it took a while to get used to, as druid casters play differently than traditional casters. Especially this build. It's the reason that when druids first came out that people wrote them off so quickly. They played them for a few levels or tried to play them like their sorcs and wizards and were disappointed because they were trying to play them like nukers and dc casters.
I'd recommend warlock if you're going to knock out a bunch of epic past lives. But if you like the druid then go for it!
One tip... Night Revels is about to go live and there is huge xp available. Last year I knocked out 6-7 EPL's during the event. The challenges are worth 130k (more with a pot) each the first time and then about 36k each after that. With a good group you can do them in less than 5 minutes. I am uploading my Lamannia Preview video atm, but it just shows the 2 new challenges. With the planners broken should I even bother with making a green steel item? I've been playing many years but I dont have an gs or lgs items.

The links the the LGS planner are no longer valid.
unfortunately atm all of the GS and LGS planners are broken. Afaik the YourDDO creator knows it's broken but doesn't have time to fix it rn.

By the way the, was it called the codex? The 5000 ingredient to get immortal heart? Pffff! Unless they could be bought from ddo store who is gonna complete the 5 piece LGS sets?!

@vooduspyce Thank you! I'm pretty knowledgeable when it comes to crafting. It's just nice to have that confirmation from the planner to make sure you don't screw it all up... you know what I mean?

Why is ddo still not allowing LGS handwrap? Its been 9 years since I left! hmmm!
Hi Voddu. I´m extremly confused about the new crafting systems. I´m a dwarven 2WF Fighter Kensei LD. I have to upgrade my weapon as I´m currently using 2x Mornth (warhammer from CitW raid that used to be great due to it´s crit profile) and now it´s obviously outdated and underpowered. But there are so many new crafting systems that I don´t know where to start looking. What´s your view on LGS vs ToE vs Thuder-forged weapons from a dps perspective? I know you normally prefer casters but if you could provide some insight it would be very helpful. I don´t have unlimited time to grind, so I would prefer to craft something good and durable, eg don´t want to spend many hours in a LGS weapon just to find out that Thunder-forged are better, etc. Tyvm as always :)
Hey Rok, I'm not going to be any help here but I'll try to steer you in the right direction. My best recommendation is to go into the fighter forum and post exactly what you just said here. Ask for suggestions on what to use for weapons and then once you figure out what weapons to work toward, that will tell you what crafting system to get attuned to first. I am generally clueless on melee stuff, but they might tell you that LGS is the way to go, for example, then that would at least give you a direction to start running in :-)

i was it was epic gs instead of legendary, legendaries require really good gear to run, and good gear is up to rng which i dont like content to be locked behind that.
So all myt ingredient collecting was just all useless as I have no cclue on how to use them or put them together. I dont wanna waste all my game time experimenting on LGS for no reason especially wih no guide so you dont waste all your stuff. No wonder DDO isnt as popular as newer games. No support at all....lol
