Great video, been playing for almost 12 years, glad I saved all the epic gear and all the seals, shards, and scrolls, cant wait for the update.
This is the revamp I was waiting for that I didn't know I was waiting for.
Excited for the revamped Epic Chimera's Fang but even with the helmet I'm still not sure if its worth sacrificing feat and a boatload of enhancement points on to get greater dragonmark. Also the helmet gives spell resist, and also 30 spell resist. I assume those don't stack so the net gain is only 9 spell resist with a greater dragonmark. Hmmm.
Well it's about damn time.
Diabolist docent is now level 4 instead of 2. Gem of many facets appears to be no min level? Longsword is indeed god tier at level 4 paralyzing. The repeater with incineration now is AWESOME. Templar's armors are worse now (less spell resistance, the only reason to use those in the first place). Epic goggles of time sensing have worse stats, used to be +20. Epic phiarian cloak loses blurry and 9 spell resistance. Basically all the skill items now give less skills and spell resistance items give less. Spell power items give more and stat items give more.
fun fact: I reincarnated 1.5 month ago. I threw away, after keeping for years, some vault of night loot which I never used (like the flame strike thingie). I'm mad now

Some of the legendary items not being quite as powerful & having no item sets was likely deliberate as it's part of that whole slew of older, non-expansion content that was given away for free last year, so it's intended more to help provide a solid baseline of legendary gear for newer & f2p players than cool superpowered new gear for established players.

Good.... I can finally pull my Epic Grim's Bracelet out of my shard bag.
Something that I haven't seen addressed in the item squash, is the minor nerf to spellcasters in terms of mana pools. Main stat to mana, and wizardry numbers are down => less mana !? Monster HP reductions doesn't mean fewer spells to kill, as players spell damage should be nerfed in the same proportion. Additionally, DC casters it doesn't affect at all. Insta kill and the CC doesn't matter mob stat reduction, you still have to cast the same number of spells. so reduced mana pool hurts spellcasters, but not melee/range. Not trying to say that spell vs non spell is 'unbalanced' - just something that I haven't seen anyone address even in the new gear at all.
lvl 9 items should have better values, because raids are +2 lvl than normal items and you can get +5 stats effects in quest named items
There is only 1 important item: Spell storing ring.
It seems like that Luminous Truth Quarterstaff would be perfect for a flame Monk, no? Better than Ravenloft staff and Moonbeam. I want this staff for my Monk now.
I've done wand whipper arti a few times over the years.. Fun yes, strong no.

I assume grind
You slam them into a stone of change and they become the new versions. This will consume any augments you have in them so be sure to remove the augments first

The scroll, shield, shard system is my least favourite system in ddo.
If drop rates were what they are today i wouldnt be a problem.
All legendary items look terrible and unusable
