- In this video I showcase a gaming PC that has no discrete graphics card. This is due to the fact we’re using a Ryzen 5 5600G APU which has some pretty capable integrated graphics. In my opinion IGP solutions have come a long way and are quite capable of delivering playable experiences at 1080P depending on the title. In a market where people can’t buy GPUs, the 5600G is an excellent stop gap solution.

Thanks man! I built a system with this apu. Great performance for games and work apps. Also power efficent. One of the best cpu for the budget specially the price becomes super low with its origins srp.

Great Review Danny, wish I'd gone for one of these instead of the 2600x when I built my new pc in February, still got my old GT640 in it as I refuse to spend £200+ on a 3 year old second hand GPU.

What you said about Doom Eternal not being that good on 1080p: what about 720p? With my R5 5600G I'm getting excellent results at high settings at 720p with Doom 2016, I anticipate great things with DE, which I couldn't get to run at all on my old Intel UHD 630!
It's a great apu, I never thought I could rdr2 in this build butbits getting very playable fps on 720p
You should try the 5600g with max fov 1080p low settings on Destiny 2.

i think any 1080p 75hz monitor is a good choice if you're planning to not upgrade. But if you're planning to upgrade to an RTX after the GPU crisis then any 1440p monitor would work, i'd go for a 144hz one if i'm playing competitive

i completely agree on your tangent, nearly all reviewers test games that i don't own. everyone focuses on the triple AAA titles and don't realize that there are so much games out there. PC gaming is decades old.
They always test with apex, warzone, fortnite, forza 5, shadow of tomb raider.

yes you can have display without updating bios
If I'm not wrong the b550 boards come amd 4 ready no need to update bios.

@@j.lietka9406 I just ordered my b550i MSI will come in 3 days I can update u then. For now though upon further research, I think it is am4 ready but there might be issues with xmp so it's always safe to just flash the bios update.

I downgraded from an i7 to a Ryzen 5 5600g. Try telling my PC that it's a downgrade though. The absolute workhorse of a chip!
Can i ask why would you go from i7 to ryzen 5 5600g? I’m planning to buy a pc set and the only option I have is the one with ryzen 5 5600g with an integrated gpu. But my friend keeps telling me to go for an intel i7 10th gen or above for my processor.
@@beryong5204 Various reasons. 2nd gen i7 so was getting on a bit (1155. that old) and needed an update. I heard/read nothing but great reviews, the overclockiability was a factor. The clincher was having a play around on a mates AMD build and the difference was noticable.

@@kiro_luv8424 It was, hense the desire for an update. There wasn't anywhere left to go on that 1155 socket so was gonna be a full board job anyway. Like I said, had a go on a mates AMD build and that sold me. From my experience with gaming and whatnot on it, an i7 doesnt compete at all with this. It's more on par with an lower spec i9, IMO.

What is the best ATX motherboard for Ryzen 5 5600g? And is it okay if I add Gtx 1650 on that? And lastly can you make a video how to update bios for B550 motherboard+ Ryzen 5 5600g? Is that need a wifi to update bios?
Buy 5600x instead if you already have the 1650 or you'll be buying the dgpu within 6 months. If the stop gap is over a year then only the 5600g makes sense
Best amd mobo, it's their core, and their Mobo, and best possible bios. It's still not cheap, Mobo, ram, cpu, power supply, nvme.2 storage, o.s..
it is decent with 144hz or 165hz monitor?
I've got the 5600g and a Rog Strix b550f. I've got the ssd and 16gigs dual channel crucial ballistic 3600mhz ram. My stuff isn't performing as well. It lags on fallout new vegas for crying out loud. What am I doing wrong?
Leave it on 1080, lower picture quality in game menu. I am running bulldozer 4 core, 560 ti2win sli, good fps occasionally buffering, crap visuals. Fallout 3, fallout 4, great picture quality, 50-60 fps. Fnv, is just that way. Known for crap visuals if you can get it to play with out stutter. Ssd helps a lot, 2 tb minimum. Buff up the ini so it plays or buff up so it looks pretty.
I wish somebody would show some older games playing on this machine Skyrim Oblivion Hitman 2016 something from the 2010 to 2015 people playing these games still you know I'd love to see if this chip can handle it that would make it worth buying
I can play fallout new vegas at 1440p on my 5700g with 55-60fps
I'm playing stuff like Dishonored and Prey with no issues..... 1080p medium

It's just a shame that they are still rocking the old Vega cores for the IGPU. A more recent RDNA/RDNA2 core would have been ideal

I’ve got 5600g and I’m curious as to what budget/value gpu you’d add to this build that would offer better graphical performance. Especially after seeing your graphic that the gtx 1030 is comparable to 5600g igpu performance.
An GTX 1650/Super/1660Ti I think would be really good gpus for this budget

Start with the best amd Mobo, everything works with it. Pcie and up. 10 years from now buy that 3090 for about $200. Done good deal.
