As a Chelsea fan, i can confidently say Rory has no idea what he saying 90% of time
Facts. We don’t claim him
Yep many times he chats shit along with the other 2 muppets
1:00 Rory: “Chelsea have generally had a very good record at Old Trafford” - we haven’t won there since 2013 mate 😂😂😭😭
😭😭😭
By chelseas recent standards, that's a pretty good record
@@ashwilliams4959that makes no sense
by chelsea standard thats great
Since SAF left they haven’t won there 😂😂
Battle of the mid table
BATTLE OF THE MID 😭😭😭
You love to see it
And still gets the most views
@@AeolianMusica🤓🤓
lol wait how is United mid table? They’re 6 points behind city and we’re 3rd place last season 😂
You people are shameless.
Rory’s take about Chelsea buying expensive young players to make more money is brain dead, and his example of comparing it to the housing market is ridiculous - a players value decreases when they get older unless they start performing exceptionally well, which won’t likely happen for most of them at Chelsea.
Also, a house can have 20 years to appreciate in value due to the market, whereas a top young player has 10 years or less - you’re not going to sell Caicedo for 200 million in 10 years if he’s an average 32 year old player 😂
Also he ignores the fact that the new owners of Chelsea bought old players like sterling Aubameyang and Koulibaly LOL
So much about this theory
He's heard other people talk about, and is seeing it wrong. Chelsea gave signed cesar casadei, andros Santos, ugwuchucku, carney, fernandes, caicedo, paez all in the midfield position. Angelo, mudryk, Madueke, palmer, moreria on the wing. Then fofana, Washington to already having broja and Jackson, to then go and buy another striker. All of them were sought after in Europe by big clubs as hot prospects. There's not enough room for all of them to make it at chelsea. All the youngsters were all bought relatively cheaply, and will be sold at a profit.
Yes agree. and the question was winning the league first. Chelsea have fixed the stadium and training ground and all of that to. United live in 2003.. and also, you would not change the manager if you want to build a young squad.. they change cause of….. many L on this one.. and also rashford would not get in any team, garnacho is the closest to this team in that case. Also the most important players in united Casemiro and varane don’t play.. so why take in Martinez…. Look, united have some good players, that should be what we depend on, but we probly going to get them out of the club. So instead of salling the bad once. We have to sell the good once, and replace them with something bad, cause you don’t get players like Casemiro, Varane, martial cheap. Amrabat, maguire, lindelof, malacia and just a OK core of young guys.. United are in terrible situation.
@@Logicsuperceeds"relatively cheaply" 😂😂😂 aye paying £30m to £80m for some of the players you just mentioned AND put them on £100k pw. None of them have really done anything so who exactly do you think has gained value? They will be lucky to break even on most of them
Facts.
how rory can be so wrong about his own team is impressive, at least when it comes to the reselling of the players how on earth do you think if they don’t improve you can make a profit
He's talking about the fact that transfer fees have fucking exploded since 2017, and have shown no signs of slowing down since. The fact that players might not improve won't matter in 5 years because top tier players will be sold for 250 million, and any mid ones that Chelsea still have by then will be going for upwards of 150m due to the market.
@@wallsgunnahard disagree. I get what you’re saying but IF Mudryk and co stay at this same level there is no planet where Chelsea sell them for profit. I don’t think any team that has spent 100m+ on a player has made profit yet. The only player I can see changing that atm is Mbappe
@@wallsgunna Both you and Rory are making a naïve assumption, as shown by his ridiculous house flip analogy. Bubbles burst; the property bubble did in 2008 and it will again soon. Football is on a high, but your analysis of prices jumping since 2017 is completely untrue. Sure, the top fees have gone up, but it's no longer exponential growth i.e. slowing down. Say they sell Fernandes in 4 years. He will have cost the club with fee and wages, 170 million pounds! Do you think someone of his ilk is gonna be bought for 250 million?
Haverzt is the perfect example Chelsea bought him a few years around for 70 mil he didn’t get any better in that time period in fact he probably regressed and they only lost 5 mill on him
@@wallsgunna yeah but by then inflation makes you question is it even actually going to be profitable
“The economics of football, its a micro economy, its always going to go exponentially up” this statement means nothing, Rory is good at doing this where he just waffles absolute nothingness but makes it sound nice and people just swallow it up.
Adam was exactly right in what he said, if Rory thinks this is an entrepreneurial play from Boehly to sell Caicedo for 300m in a few years then he is sorely mistaken, Boehly is flinging shit at a wall and hoping it sticks, Brighton are a team engineered for making profit, Definitely not Boehly’s Chelsea.
Jesus Rory is an idiot, equating real property value dynamics to a footballers' resale potential.
Is he trying to say caicedo will be available in 30 years for a more inflated fee when he goes on about buying a house in the 80s v now?
He’s right in terms of the guys like badiashile, Jackson and ugo but not the guys like Enzo, mudryk, and caicedo
He’s right, but also it will cost more therefore to replace these players, so you’re not actually making any profit
Prime example of the fact that if you speak with confidence, people won't realise you're actually talking nonsense
If you can ever find someone who loves you as much as Adam loves Rashford you're very lucky. They will let you be the worst partner ever and never leave you
@user-tn8uu2cu8gNo Jesus Christ is better
It actually makes perfect sense for Rory to pick Conor Gallagher as the first midfielder on the team sheet because Conor Gallagher plays football like Rory talks about it - with very little skill or nous, but an abundance of emotion and heart that often crosses over into stupidity.
Rory really doesn't understand basic economics 😂
Jokes on you, Caicedo with some renovations will be cash flowing for the next 30 years.
@@anovaguy a fixer upper
I think Adam is right when it comes to questioning Rory's logic regarding the plan of just growing value. Rory massively over-estimates the economic growth of young prospects. Especially with players like Mudryk, Enzo, Caicedo who already cost around 100M to begin with. You'll then have to add on the wages over the course of let's say 4 years before they leave and a potential replacement Chelsea would have to buy. Even if they all develope brilliantly it's hard to turn a profit on them. If they do flop it's impossible. Ain't no way anyone is splashing 200M on a failed Mudryk in 2027.
You misunderstood the point. Rory is saying that transfer fees will keep on rising with inflation in football. So players like Caicedo and Enzo will cost even more in 5 years time and Chelsea are ahead of the curve going on a buying spree and hoarding talent before transfer valuations go through the roof and it becomes a seller's market. That's Boehly and Clearlake's logic by the way, not saying I agree with it.
@@areebsiddiqui758 also for every year that these players play for the club some of the transfer fee is written off from a financial pov as they are getting a return on the value
@@areebsiddiqui758how could they cost more when they were already massively overpriced😂 they age and both been shit
@@areebsiddiqui758
Idk if i'm with you. I don't think that's Rory meant from what's been said in this clip and in previous instances he talked about that topic.
In any case: Both approaches would be equally stupid by the Chelsea ownership
@@areebsiddiqui758I don't think that's what he meant, because then why would he then say the Chelsea owners don't care about winning the league if it's about acquiring this Talent and being ahead of the curve? I too like OP got the sense he was saying he believes these players can be sold at a profit.
Adam: “I think Onana has turned the corner”
Boy will that ever age badly 🤭
Did Rory say garnacho hasn’t scored?, I must have imagined him scoring goal of the season against Everton!
This was filmed before they played Everton. Theyre wearing the same stuff as in the race to top 4 video from over 2 weeks ago
So maybe calm down
Rory is literally just on about inflation. Where’s the cap to that though, like Caicedo isn’t going to go for 200m I just can’t see it. There’s a ceiling because of FFP right now
Rory that theory of buying young players for profit is hideously inaccurate with caicedo types. It works in youth academy and under 16s but not for 18+ and 100m+
When you buy caicedo for 100 youre paying his lifetime max price. Either he goes onto be a world beater you never want to sell and if you do itd be 150ish so with his wages youd break even. When buying young potential, youre overpaying for what they could become, not to turn a profit if it was profit based youd sign lower league players, give them pl apps and sell em on overpriced in jan
Angelo, Ugochukwu, Santos, Casadei, Hutchinson, Morreira, David datro Fofana etc etc
These are the youth players they'll sell to make money
Caicedo, Enzo, Mudryk etc, they're there for the future
@@Alex-tn3tqmost of these guys won’t touch the pitch because Chelsea have another 2-3 players in their position better than them on just as long of a contract. Unless they actually get game time which Chelsea managers can’t afford due to the pressure they’ll deteriorate in price instead. It’ll be the new Lucas Piazon and the rest of the Loan Army minus the ability to loan them all out because of league limits
Enzo's not as good as Connor Gallagher!? Man Rory is fkn insane with these takes every time I see him talk.
This the level of content and in depth football knowledge I expect to hear between Sheffield United and Burnley fans... embarrassing display lads.. keep it up 👍
That's incredibly disrespectful to Sheff Utd and Burnley fans
What a stupid comment
fans of smaller clubs nearly always have more knowledge because theyre generally bigger fans of football and the club lmao your logic is backwards
It’s fun to see them arguing Rashford, Hdjuland, Jackson lol. It’s like battle of who scored the least goals.
Bald men fight over a comb.
Tbf jackson has got 7 goals in 16 appearances this season, that's pretty respectable
He scored a bs hat trick against spurs though
@thesneakygamer4343
They were all good finishes, he also finished off another goal that sterling was offside for, yes he missed a couple and was offside more times than a crisp packet in a Sunday league game but you still have to score them
@@paulw6183I mean good finishes with ten attempts haha
It's genuinely hilarious watching two fans of rival clubs explain Rory's club to him. It's like if a Russian guy had to tell me how the electoral college works. How do you not get it?
As a Chelsea fan I never have and probably never will look for Manchester City in the fixture list when it comes out, regardless of how we're doing. I'll always look for Man United though. Rory's spot on there
I wouldn't look forward to a definite loss either.
@@peptalk7658they didn’t lose tho….
@@peptalk7658 your joke completely falls apart when you realise we have beaten city 8 or so times in the last 10 years, including to win the Champions League final, and we havent won at old trafford in 10 years. City just mean absolutely nothing to everyone except a small group of arabs 🙂
Rashford is the last player i would put in as a Utd fan
Buvey is too funny🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣he loves to troll.
I think the owners plans are part of what Rory and Adam said. They want to spend big and buy the marquee players like Enzo, Caicedo, Osimhen maybe, which they won't look to sell for profit, then all the other youngsters they have bought with high potential for 20-40m, they will hope to resell them to make profit, that will fund the reinvestment into more of those marquee 100m players.
There definitely wrong with that Gallagher shout its
Caicedo
Enzo
Bruno
Rory’s argument is that Rasmus hasn’t scored a pl goal. Cole Palmer is yet to score a non-penalty goal this season 😮
palmer has actually played well tho, and a goal is a goal
Hoijlund 0 pl goals and mediocre performances hush you know nothing 😂😂😂
Palmer has been good, he gets assists, influences play, and despite what stat whores say, a goal is a goal no matter if it’s from the penalty spot, free kick, or open play
Was that meant to be a good argument?😂 4 penalty’s is 4 goals , and takes minerals
Ones a workhorse striker, the other is a creative midfielder
Quality wise
Onana
Reece Varane Silva Shaw
Casemiro Enzo
Sterling Bruno Rashford
Nkunku
Forms and injuries wise:
Sanchez
Wan Silva Disasi Shaw
Enzo Caicedo
Palmer Bruno Sterling
Jackson
Gallagher obviously starts on form. He's been Chelsea's best midfielder this season. Prior to last weekend Enzo had been pretty mid this season.
Qaulity wise, chilwell is miles better than shaw, and im not even a chelsea fan
How does Shaw on form when he's been injured most of the season get in ahead of Colwill who has a goal and an assist this season and has been defensively good
palmer doesnt make any team lol. whats he done outside of pens his performances have been mediocre, where was he vs newcastle? caicedo has been mid, shaw has been injured for months same with wan bissaka.
@@Nightsu ok who would u replace with palmer? caicedo can be replaced by gallagher but there is nobody on either team doing better than palmer in his position. Plus u cant say he doesnt make any team when he literally made england squad for his performances.

Looking forward to the Sheffield Utd and Luton combined 11 next

That bit was sooo cringy
@@user-tn8uu2cu8g no thanks. Muhammed was a liar and Islam is a false religion.
The amount of godlike goalkeeping performances from visiting teams at Old Trafford over the years have been astounding
'Rashford scored thirty goals last season'... I could watch the replays back of all thirty goals and still wouldn't believe that 🤣 ggmu
well he did mate
Is right lad..
The real, sane debate here... is to one by one nominate the players you would drop... the last 11 are the best combined team... that seems to be how Poch and Ten Haag select their starting XI anyway.. lets keep it consistent boys
Great video and conversation and debate was quite constructive ❤
Mate they were just waffling nonsense, especially rory
2 constants with this group
Buvey the ultimate windup
Mckola unlimited united bias
Ten Hag's first season earned him another full season in my books. He played not great football but got the results we needed to keep us in top 4 and get a cup. This year he's experimenting his style on a club full of players some of whom are entirely incapable of playing that style and expectedly he's struggling but he's also not doing that bad, top 6 at this point in the season isn't terrible, I think the UCL campaign will hurt him but PL season-wise I think he''ll be fine.
Combined XI
Rashford | Jackson | Palmer
Bruno
Enzo | Caicedo
Shaw | Martinez | Silva | James
Onana
But tbh, there's not really many of these players I'd die on the hill for to get in, if you argued Sterling over Rashford, Casemiro over Caicedo, Hojlund over Jackson, or Sanchez over Onana, I wouldn't say it crazy, they all been extremely average and its very close pickings.
Jackson can't lace martials boots
😂😂😂😂
Rashford, worst winger in the league this season.
Onana one of the worst keepers in the league This season.
Martinez, one of the most rash defenders in the league.
Non of these get close.
@@Fmfcg Antony "made of glass" Martial, thats comical, how many goals has Martial got this season? Same amount as Silva, Colwill, Disasi, Badiashile, our CB's. Give it a rest.
Sterling for Rashford
Casemiro for Caicedo
Varane for Silva
Mckola's delusion in Ten Hag is so strong that maybe only Anfield will make him see the light
Sterling Hojlund Palmer
Enzo Bruno F Gallagher
Shaw Silva Maguire James
Onana (done pretty well in prem)
Disasi or Varane instead of Maguire and Caicedo instead of Enzo
A Chelsea and United combined eleven reminds me of that line in Friends, it "reads like a who's who of human crap!"
😮😮😮
Rorys stance on the owners is wild and surprising. Even if they in it for money, making sure they win gets them to the money quicker
Getting Rashford in the team and not Hoijlund just because he ain't got a prem goal is comical
Why? Hoijlund hasn't scored a prem goal, he'll ultimately be seen as a part of the ten haag flop club. Maybe in 3 years he might be ready but shoehorning him in as Utd's main striker off the back off 9 goals in an inferior league right now is ridiculous
@@hottakehylas Hojlund fanboys are comical, like he cant even chat to broja
Hoijlund and Rashford are cheeks mate😂😂
Midfield if the players are in form: casemiro, enzo, Bruno (makes no sense compareing them out of form, out of form it can be anybody in there)
He doesn’t know how economics works if his argument is the owners are betting on inflation for sustainability.
Rory : Chelsea have spent 1 bill but not to win the leauge 😂😂😂
I think Rory's argument is that Clearlake have spent 1 billion to make 2 billion. The fact there is a football club in between is inconsequential
It is nonsensical when you consider Boehly's other major sports asset (L.A. Dodgers) are serial winners@@olllyy
Great channel lads 💙
i think if you are doing a combined 11 you need a stricter line - Either it is not based on form or it is.
Prices will go up for footballers as the years go by, but that’s a direct correlation to their age…? Yes footballers can play for longer, but a 27-30 year old Chelsea player will struggle to have the same worth they had from when they were bought unless they’re world class (by its official meaning).
That was sooo cringy from rory
Wish Rory would bore off with this idea of every signing is being made to make a profit in the future. Pure waffle. Would love to see how many players we have signed in the last year are sold for a profit. 1 or 2 max
Need to know when this video was filmed 😂
based on this season: TBC goalkeeper/ James/ Thiago/ Maguire/ Shaw/ Enzo/ Gallagher/ Bruno/ Sterling Palmer/Garnacho.
Onana
Reece, Silva, Martinez, Shaw
Casemiro, Enzo, Bruno
Sterling, Hojlund, Rashy
Beautiful setting. Drink to that setting
A players lofe cycle is too volatile and short to make any comparison to the property market
My 11:
Onana
James
Thiago
Maguire
Shaw
Caicedo
Enzo
Bruno
Sterling
Hojlund
Palmer
Im a Utd fan but no way Rashford makes this team
Rory really beats his own point with the example of buying a house.
You can’t make a combined eleven flitting between form and actual ability. Decide if it’s form or ability first
Buvey holding backthe smile at 13:12 😂
Comparing football player prices to Willesden Junction prices in 1990 is dumb, that's a 33 year period. Players' value only really increase from when they're young, to maybe 28/29 at a maximum. For Caicedo to be worth more when they sell him, the market would have to shift so much in the 6 years before he turns 28... whilst also assuming he performs well enough to justify an increase in value and resigns on a long enough contract.
Remember Adam ripping Liverpool for signing endo. Our endo has had a bigger impact than any of United's signings. Ok positive impact as ohno in goal has had a huge impact. Polo. The keeper with the hole
Combined 11 should be based on available players
How does rory not understand that wages will offset any increase in value of the player and that at least 50% of the players will lose value
Rory is so clueless about every single subject I’ve heard him talk about, it’s actually incredible. He talks in hyperbole to deceive a causal listener into thinking he has some idea of what he’s on about - but he hasn’t got a scooby!
Currently available and on form
Onana
AWB
Silva
Badiashile
Shaw
Caicedo
Gallagher
Bruno
Palmer
Jackson
Sterling
as an Arsenal fan, I cannot wait for this one....... whether it will be a goal-less borefest or a shootout, I'm pretty sure it will be a hilarious MESS both ways :D:D
That logic that players value increase is bullocks. Players value decrease overtime as they age, while properties increase overtime as strategic lands get scarce.
If you try to sell players like Murdyk, Caicedo, Enzo now, you’re definitely in a deficit or in a loss.
Only a handful of players would increase in value, and that’s the world class.
Out of the 3, and based on their performance, none of them will increase in value without 3-4 years.

Onana. Reece, Thiago, Colwill/Disasi, Shaw. Callagher, Bruno. Cant pick any other midfield, as they're all shit a part from those two. Sterling, Jackson, Palmer. Hojlund is a better striker than Jackson, but in the PL our attack has a combined 2 goals I think😅 so...
The most unheated 'heated' debate of all time.
A player that flops or underperforms won’t go up on value lmao! A house and a player cannot be compared. One is stable value and the other is based on performance
rory is waffling bro. the ownership had to start at the foundation like afc did w kids and each tramsfer window you add a lil more quality. give Chelsea 3 transfer windows and theyll challenge
Is that true Geordie in the background screaming? 😅
Uuhhh broadly the logic in this is so up and down.
Adam seems to be picking as though he has to pick a team to actually play in an ideal situation.
Rory on current form and make alterarions to fit them.
Why does no1 do combined 11 right??? Your the manager on Wednesday and you have the squad of Man U and Chelsea!! WHO DO YOU PICK FOR WEDNESDAY? 🙈
This is the least heated conversation these have ever had!
Either Rory is trolling or he doesn’t understand the market. I’d get what he means by buying to sell at a higher price if the players were young, bought for a reasonable price AND performing. Pretty much what Brighton did and what Southampton used to do. Otherwise (just like properties) they get devalued. And sancho is a great example
Properties don’t devalue, they may dip but on a whole, property is one of the surest investments because their value resembles this ->📈
@@TheDominic1011 I was just trying to use the analogy that Rory used. But you’re correct. Players age and stagnate. Their value is in either their quality and/ or their potential
no way chelsea make any profit on their signings, what a load of nonsense

WHY DO THE ALWAYS CHANGE THE CRITERIA MIDWAY THROUGH.
If it is this season then its Sanchez, Dalot, Silva, Diasasi, Shaw, Caicedo, Enzo, Bruno, Sterling, Palmer, Jackson.
If its overall: Onana, James, Silva, Martinez, Shaw, Casemiro, Bruno, Enzo, Sterling, Rashford, Hojlund
We are Charity FC, we always struggled against struggling teams. I have a feeling Man U will beat us. 9 players out injured and also players out because of suspension.
Onana, James, Varane, Martinez, Shaw, Caicedo, Enzo, Bruno, Sterling, Nkunku, Palmer.
Seeing how the United forwards are playing at the moment I think you cant have any of them in a combines 11. Sterling and Palmer have both been very very good this season and even though he has big limitations I think you gotta go with Jackson. Rashford has been absolutely dire and a massive net negative for his team. Cant have him on current form in this team.
Rashford has down tools and joined the Sancho club in hoping they outlast ten haag at the club. Will more follow? He's obviously lost the boys. Anyone can see that. He won't last long now

Rory has been saying this for a while now, and it makes no sense. How can you expect to overpay for a player. Him not do very well and then turn a profit. The housing market comparison doesn’t work. Because those prices have sky rocketed over 30 years. And a players lifespan is obviously a lot less especially if they’re playing badly in a bad team.
Rory thinking chilwell can play lb just proves his level of knowledge. Same with saying gallagher lmao.
Casemiro correctly not included. Different situation with Shaw, James etc as they’ve been injury hampered. Casemiro on the other hand, has noticeably fallen off of a cliff due to his age. He’s simply not at the level anymore in 2023.
