Buvey's spot on about Nathan Ake. He deserves more praise for moving out position and filling a long-standing weak spot in our team and delivering consistent 7-8/10 performances. He was crucial to our treble win; we couldn't have done it without him.

Ben White is the most underrated player at Arsenal. He suits up and starts virtually every game, rarely puts a foot wrong, and he’s is playing out of his natural position at an elite level. He could play in any team in the world, yet nobody seems to talk about him.
He's not flash, plays a simple role (though likely told to), did ot well, never see him at a 9/10, but never a 4/10 either. There's a reason he gets called up for England m, well, did, plus his versatility

As a Luton fan, our most underrated player is Kaminski. He's statistically the 2nd best GK in the entire league behind Alisson. You guys didn't even think to mention him. That's criminally underrated

The thing with Schar is Newcastle fans rave about him. Almiron is the answer. Newcastle fans hate Almiron, but he's a very good player, works hard for the team and may not be flash, but doesn't need to be.

How is it not Gross for Brighton? A very complete midfielder who is consistent and has scored plenty of quality goals. Every time I watch Brighton I think he could play for a top 6 team. He might not be quite good enough to be a consistent starter for a top team but would be an excellent squad player/option like Trossard has been since joining Arsenal.
Because everybody knows how good he is, therefore nobody is under rating him at all.
Rory proved that Emerson is underrated with his reaction. He's been West Ham's most consistent player for more than a year.
Most underrated players at Spurs are easily Sarr or Hojbjerg. Sarr is so vital to the way we play. He brings energy and work ethic that some of our other midfielders lack. He makes us tick. Yet when everyone is fit Sarr is the one most likely to drop out. Hojbjerg on the other hand. Yes he's not everyones favourite but he is excellent at adding stability in the midfield. He is the kind of player who will do the dirty work. Put in the hard graph for fhe team. He is very limited but i dont think people appreciate enough just the role he does do well.
Agree with Sarr. hojbjerg has been underrated previous season however has not played well resently when given the chance
Harvey Elliot isnt underrated or overrated. He's very well taken care of. He's rated very highly at Liverpool theyre just protecting his progression and allowing his maturity to happen naturally, at the time he was working close to being a main stay starter he got a bad injury, now he's back to that same level and constantly in and around the team, he doesn't start on the wing because he isnt fast enough, he doesnt start centre mid because he isnt strong enough defensively, but he's one of those versatile players that you always account for just not necessarily a 1-11 player, the attacking version of Milner, or the midfield version of Jota

Actually I believe Harvey Elliot's best games this year have been when Liverpool went down to 10 men and he's been playing in double pivot with Szoboszlai but has the license to roam, take the ball and run with it. Wee Joe Allen used to do that when Klopp took over in first year. I think he could be good in a role Sterling had playing behind Suarez and Sturridge but I doubt we going into that system anytime soon.
He's deceptively quick if you watch him closely. He's not blistering but he can certainly cover the ground quicker than people think. I think he is underrated by everyone outside of Liverpool, Fulham and Blackburn rovers.
However, the most underrated player would be either Jota or Endo.

My thoughts went straight to Endo for this. I was frustrated earlier in the season with people talking about "Klopp not fancying him" and "Klopp not trusting him" whereas all I saw was Klopp easing him into the side in precisely the same way he did Fabinho and Roberston (and I suspect he might also have done with Darwin had Diaz not got injured early last season). It also ignored how Klopp was on record as a big Endo fan, a position he'd made clear several times over the years.

konate simple hasn’t been better than van dijk and u haven’t watched every liverpool game so i get why u could think it cus he’s a more hands on centre back but he gets silly yellows a lot. That dude is an elite striker and talk about underrated. One of the most underrated strikers of the modern era. Better than Lacazette. Giroud didn't keep Benzema from playing for France. Benzema kept Benzema from playing for France. I can't think of another French striker that close to Giroud's quality that he stopped from playing.

AWB is still United's most underrated player. People still can't see past him not being a flash attack minded player. They overlook or down play the benefits he brings to the team. Most people will concede that's he's "World class" in 1v1 situations. But refuse to see any other benefits. He's Mr Consistent. A nightmare for even top wingers. Also a selfless workhorse that constantly looks to progress the ball. He possesses great football intelligence and positioning both defensively. But also in supporting the attack. He keeps it simple and plays to his strengths. He always aids the team in everything he does. But more importantly what he doesn't do. That self awareness and selflessness enables his more creative/attack minded teammates to do more. But because he doesn't fit the mold of a cookie cutter attacking full-back he gets unfairly clowned on. Even most United fan's want him sold ASAP.
It's McAllister fs, Endo is a great 6 but he's very experienced in that position and hasn't played as many games as people seem to think he has. Macca has had to play out of position and has still been a rock.

chelsea is either axel disasi or nico jackson. Disasi has been the most consistent centre back we have had all season but people where talking about fofana and 50 million pound transfers while hes been putting in shifts. Jackson is crap at shooting but his defensive work, hold up play and other aspect of his game have been excellent and its only being talked about now because broja lead the line and people realised what jackson had been adding to the team.

As a Wolves fan Joao Gomes would personally be my shout. The bloke blocked a u turn by Flamengo to come to Wolves when they tried to ship him to Lyon last minute, literally covers every blade of grass. His ability to regain possession and not allow us to be dominated in the midfield, at his age is outstanding.
The fact we’ve got rid of Neves and Nunes, and our midfield is the best it’s looked since coming back up says a lot about the ability of Gomes and Lemina.
So Joao Gomes is underrated because he blocked a move from Flamengo to Lyon to instead go to Wolves?
People rate him well enough, after Pedro he's best player no?

@@kurtsudheim825 I’d say it’s a toss up between him and Lemina, but when you think about how much fans of other clubs rave about Neto, you never really hear a peep about Gomes, yet you could argue his impact in a lot of games is nearly as much, albeit less flashy.
@@jordanpalmer3346 if they scraped by relegation, he would get more game time than he would at a team who finished higher in their league. Especially if the team who scraped by relegation as you put it also sold a bunch of players who play in your position. And also especially when said team already has a bunch of players who speak the same language as well. That last point cannot be understated.
Tottenham fan here - our most underrated player is Davies. Some of the games hes played as fill in CB this season looked like prime Baresi with his interceptions and passing ability. Yet now VDV is back, everyone saying we need a better backup LCB and weve bought Dragusin in whose starting over Davies but has been poor in the most part yet no one calling for Davies to start over him.

I think Villa have a lot of underrated players, not necessarily in terms of other fans not rating the likes of McGinn or Dougie Luiz but not realising just how good they are but I think the most is Pau Torres, he is arguably the most important player for the way we want to play & has lowkey been one of the - if not the - best signings of the season

Ben White at Arsenal for me. Great at RB and CB, solid passing and on the ball movement, and with his crazy engine and fitness (he never seems to get injured, and quite often plays with knocks) he is an overlapping FB and as of recently, he can invert to a decent level as well. Criminally underrated by non-Arsenal fans

Those are the obvious three, but I'd say that people went so all in on the idea that Salah being at the AfCon would sink us that we could argue they were under-rating our other forward players. I was arguing with someone earlier who still insisted that we can't cope without Salah despite have demonstrated for the last six weeks that we absolutely can. There's also something to be said about the lack of commentary on our tendency to have multiple different scorers in each match...
@@chrispalmer7893even though Tsimikas and Matip are decent shouts, even Kelleher, for me personally, it's Nunez. Everyone outside of Liverpool thinks he is shit but he's anything but. Even though Haaland has scored more goals than Nunez in the Premier League, I think there's an argument to be made that Nunez is the better player. He would be an absolute nightmare to defend against.

If I had to pick one I'd go Manuel Akanji, a really solid defender - cost just £15m, can play anywhere across the back line & even moves into midfield. Strong, quick (for a defender), v decent in the air, intelligent, versatile, hard-working, with good distribution

NUFC fan, I thought Gordon was a horrible signing but he’s been one of the few bright spots this year along with Miley and Livramento. Gordon is extremely versatile and his work rates are incredible. He’s not a top winger yet, but if he keeps improving in consistency and finishing, he’ll be up there. I think we rate him fairly but in regards to the neutral, yes he’s underrated. I think it’s because he has a punchable face
