How well do you think Barcelona will do this season? We've more La Liga based videos out over the coming weeks, so stick around for those!
Tifo Football Please make a video on how coutinho and Arthur transfer and dembelle return can help Barcelona...please..
Great video as always, my bell icon is on only for your channel.
But I want to say something,
Pep's Barca did not play, tiki-taka, tiki-taka is keeping possession for the sake of keeping it. Pep always played "juego de posicion". Peps wants the keep the ball to play this style. There is stark difference in these two.
Anyways great video, you surely deserve a lot more subscribers.
:)
Here's our Tifo Football recommended reading list: www.tifofootball.com/features/umaxit-recommends-football-reading/
Please dont call it tiki taka :D
Barcelona looks bad on field and dont give me hope that hey can win CL. Struggling to score and own goal as top scorer in CL is not promising. Of course Dembele comeback could change that and maybe one player in winter transfer window.
Out of curiosity, but what's the music in the background? It was great to listen while watching how Valverde's system works. Thanks in advance! :)
One thing barca fans don't give Valverde credit for is fixing the defence. Barca had conceded 37 goals in league last season and at least another 20 in the champions league, and another 15 in the CDR. So far this season only 8 in all competitions in 23 games. Not only the defence but I wonder what kind of training he put Ter Stegen through, he's been a wall this season.
Jordan Escobar exactly, I think Valverde is not lucky, he deserves the praise for what he has done
TheFNProductionz you're right mate
TheFNProductionz yep, he may have lost 5-1 on aggregate to Madrid but I don't blame him at all for it. He had only played 3 friendlies and the team was reliant on Neymar who had just left. Nobody would've won those games. Barca currently undefeated and it's December, that's a great run. He's clearly doing something right.
Jordan Escobar That Real defeat made us stronger and he realized the weaknesses of the team, hopefully we win on Saturday
Gamer Marsh yes it did make us stronger. Those games were a massive test. Defeats like those show what needs to be fixed and now Valverde created a very balanced system.
Back here again with yet another Spurs manager candidate 😭😭
😂
Here we go again 😅😂
Spurs have become the banter fc team In London now, won’t be long till we hear Harry Redknapp has been contacted by spurs at this point
😂😂😂
@@williamdale4729I'd take arry rn
Here as a Manchester United fan, after Valverde has been hinted at as a possible Interim manager.
Me too.
Same. Not entirely sure this system would benefit the current united team though but it would be interesting for sure. Ive also heard Gattuso is also in the mix. Wondering if we are better off with Carrick till end of season if he can do well against Chelsea!
Same
🙏🏽
They are unbeaten this season in Liga and UCL, I watched all their games and they are not dominant like they used to be but one thing stands out: defence. It’s the best we have seen in years. If suarez catches up his old form they will be really dangerous after dembele is back but for now they are pretty balanced but weaker “on the paper” compared to other teams like psg and city.
Is this defense really that outstanding, mate? I really think you make a great point there, about the stats and suarez's form. Is this yerry mina deal, a potential one or just a media rumour?
well the defene is outstanding compared to previous years. Umtiti is definitely in top 5 CB category but he is injured and time will tell if the defence will hold out or not. Well there are tons of rumors out there but Barca definitely need a solid "playmaker" in centrefield so messi can focus more on scoring instead of doing everything by himself. Tons of money spent on useless or sub par players such as arda, gomes, alcacer, vidal, digne and denis suarez put the team in really difficult situation both financially and tactically.
Sam Mulder feels like peps City will kill our team
I think we still need to get back with the wingers, since the game can become predictable if we play everything in the middle. Valverde is doing an outstanding job anyways.
Sam Mulder ive seen psg and man city play, they attack a lot but leave tons of space. On lesser teams thats fine but with messi there space is deadly, and barca defense has improved. But where barca struggles is the park the bus teams like chelsea and althetico those will give the most problems i think.
I watched every single game this season..Youre video has been ON POINT
Messi has become a free.to.do.player. This means that while the game goes on according to Barcelona's usual tactics - which are optimal yet minimal, Iniesta and Messi can bring in their ample experience and creativity, without worrying about the attacking or defensive solidarity and conformity. With Iniesta being remarkable in the first half, they can create a burst of chances and versatile. In the second half, Messi is consistently pragmatic while everyone else seems to tire out. This gives Barcelona the edge between 1-45, and 75-90 minutes - which is clear if you go by the stats for these periods for the duo and for Barca.
messi is perfect attacking midfielder
Suraj's Opinion is Better or maybe enrique got it all wrong.
Valverde and Paulinho have both been personifications of the current transition of Barcelona and this video encapsulates that fact. Their pragmatism and all-round balance has allowed Barca to continue to succeed without Neymar/Xavi, with an ageing Don Andres and without having to over-complicate tactics or formations. Considering the conflicts between the fans and the board their embrace of these two figures have so far proven to be a very prudent move.
Ian Mendham well said
Valverde will most likely switch back to a 4-3-3 once Dembele is fit. They don't really have any good wingers at the moment, Deulofeu and Vidal haven't exactly performed great. He's using what he can at the moment and it's a 4-4-2 What he came up with.
4-4-2 with Dembele as an aggressive winger on the right
Or a 4-2-3-1
Iniesta tucking in on the left, Dembele on the byline
Sergi Roberto being inverted (he can play central mid)
Alba doing his thing
Busquets and Paulinho in central mid
Messi #10 role
Suarez lone striker
Ricky Rickalvous Paulinho wouldn't fit that well with dembele in because of his high attack work rates, maybe someone like Denis Suarez or Rakitic to stay, back with busquets could do the trick
I think Busquets in deep playmaking like Fernandinho and Iniesta in the no.8 role and Paulinho as a box to box, doing the running to open up players while Messi in no.10 should offer a lot of fluidity at the centre adding to that Dembele and Alba offering width and suarez disrupting the defensive line
Coming to your point I said Sergi Roberto as an inverted fullback could stay with busquets (because he can play central mid) and that creates a square four at the back with the two central ball playing defenders
Ricky Rickalvous I think what Valverde will do is just switch to the 4-3-3 because it worked so well. He had Barca playing Very well. So think it'll be a
Semedo Pique Umtiti Alba
Roberto/Rakitic Busquets Iniesta
Dembele Messi Suarez.
That's ok though I think we should change tactics more often
A good example is against Atletico, when we switched to 4-2-3-1 we were able to get some players between their midfield and defensive line (which I think is always the key to breaking down teams that park the bus) and we equalised and almost won that game
Watching this 3 years later, and Osumane Dembele is still injured 😂
And now he is leaving 😂
Really waiting for this one... You are too good and thank you...
+sarfraz khan no problem!
Tifo Football please one video on how dembelle return and Coutinho or aurthur transfer helps Barcelona....
Tifo Football love your explanations and voice
I tried to recreate this tactic in Football manager 2018, and I have to say that it is working! Thank you for this video, it really gives insights and inspiration :)
Great Video keep pushing them out learned a lot 💯💯💯👍
Great video as always. Could you maybe do a video on Sam Allardyce's Bolton team and tactics?
Perfectly summed up..... Really loved it....
Was waiting for this!! Thanks a lot and very nice video!!
+Nitigya Golait we listen!!
You guys should add actual footage from games that illustrates the tactics at work in between the animations. Might help. Brilliant video all around though and love the analysis
harmit Singh copyright
Will get taken down like Tactical Analysis Hub channel gets struck every time he uploads
@A one legged man nope, it'll most definitely get taken down automatically, hence why they never use actual footage, even if it's technically legal
@tito football You forgot to mention on Valverde the Europa League final with Espanyol..Great achievement
Also i believe the 4-4-2 was something of an ''emergency'' of the absent of Dembele and other traditional wingers/inside forwards. When Dembele recover from his injury , i think 4-3-3 will be again his preference
Ane Ro the 4-4-2 is sort of an "emergency" because of Dembele's Absence. Valverde tried to stick with the 4-3-3 but didn't quite work out with Deulofeu at RW. Valverde has switched to a 4-4-2 because of the lack of quality on the wings.
we are saying the same i think?!
Ane Ro p
Your videos always help to develop my football mind, thanks amigo!
Excellent analysis! Also try to include how Deulofeu, Gomes and Alcacer have stepped it up this season due to Valverde.
I'm always pleased with your content.... great work...
I was shocked to see edinson cavani ahead of isco, kroos and even dybala in the ballon d'or list of best players for 2017... can u do a video on his performance.... do u guys think he deserves to be there ?
Who’s here because he’s linked to united
Really well Explained ...Keep it up 👍
Top Class Videos as always!
Guardiola's style will always remain the best I have ever seen. Pep's Barca was just a joy to watch. Every opponent felt inferior to them. Now Guardiola is doing the same at City. They are playing amazing football.
Pep's Manchester City is the new Barcelona!
Premier league has couple of clubs more playing attacking football now so it'll be interesting with Sarri, Klopp and Pep in the picture
Although I already knew this through watching so many Barcelona games this season, this video is still too good to those who weren't following their games
loved this man. another masterpiece
Great video! Would you be able to include examples of in-game footage along with your explanation? Would present a great visual!
Brilliant video, I hoped you would stress on rakitic and touch on Roberto a bit more, as you did so aptly for paulinho. Please do a video on how promising coutinho can be , given he shared an excellent chemistry with the forwards, right into his debut in the Catalan derby.
Bro, that starting 11 was only from 4 years ago and so many have left: Semedo, Rakitic, Paulinho, Suarez, Messi, Iniesta. As well as some important subs such as Alcacer, Deulofeu, Gomes, Vidal.
The first time I heard 442 formation being mentioned alongside Barcelona's team. No wonder this guy is out of the team, I know 442 is a good defensive formation because it can be very compact in the middle of the pitch and can stop the opposition from playing in the lateral areas of the opposition pitch - and with it comes the problem of building an attack, but with enrique's defense they can still play counter because of the physicality of the midfield and suarez are still adequate not to mention he still utilizes barcelona's way of playing high pressure and his 343 diamond are definitely one of the most entertaining formation to watch - just look at his 3-2 win in bernabeu against real.
A 4-3-3 wouldn't possibly work. You need 2 wingers, and who did they have? Sure, Messi's a great player but somehow I don't think he's able to cover both sides. Dembele was injured for the entirety of that season and Deulofeu certainly didn't help. Valverde wanted to switch back to 4-3-3 asap, he was just waiting for Dembele (who, to this day, still suffers from frequent injuries).
Brilliant analysis. Subscribed.
Nice tactical analysis, keep it up
great work guys.... keep it up
Cheers Tifo 😊. I'm about to forward this to Mr Conte&Co.
+J. T 👊👊
Quality vid as always guys, you deserve a lot more subs.
+Need to Git gud thank you for the support my friend!
I read this in jimmys stuttering voice 😂
Leo G hahah me too
Good assessment. Valverde is showing he had a clear idea of what to expect to bring Paulinho to the club. No Barca coach will be like Pep's team, but Pep also had many many great players at his disposal.
The speedy counterattacks don't work on Barca anymore because the team is quite balanced. I kind of like this style of Barca. Not as exciting as before, but also no more heart attacks when opponents have the ball.
Great video, please make a tactical comparison video before el classico same like you did before UCL final Real Vs Juve. We would love to know which team is tactically superior.
As a Chelsea fan I'm really excited to see how this system goes up against ours. It seems very balanced and intelligently crafted. It's not really all about the formation but the roles they play. When Busquets gets the ball and the CB's split and the FB go forward it's appears as a back 3.
Love this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Man, I love this kind of video. Like!
genius analysis. I owe you if you make some of manchester under luis van gaal
Love this type of vid!
Do more BARÇA vids pleaseeeeeeee!
great vid!!!!!! btw can u explain inter milan's tactics. Im rly hyped tht they r topping juve by evn just 2 points!!!!!

Great vid 👍🏿
this guy can come to MU as an interim coach
Hey man love your videos. I have a request, could you make a video of the best free kick takes of all time in the most objective way possible. Thank you
Nice video. U got a Brazilian subscriber.
Awesome work
+Leo Steel thanks leo
Great video!
Who’s here after he’s being linked to spurs
Hello, great video, nicely done.
What side do you think has the most chances of winning the Champions League this season, based exclusively on the potential of their talent and tactical prowess? This Barca side is solid and it has Messi of course, but I'm in doubt as to whether it has a ceiling within that solidity whereas other emerging teams (M. City, PSG) seem to be on the rise and show higher potential.
Leonhart i think man city is so good this season...for psg of course a good team...but i think they wont win the champions league this season they have strong forward yh true but they are fragile in defence and the midfield is carried by verrati alone and i dont think the team can win...they wont beat rma anyways
City is overrated. They ll get easily blocked in knock out games of CL.
Thanks man for this video.
Can you do Pep's City next and maybe something about how to stop them.
Nice try, Mourinho!
Reviews From The North 😂 😂 😂
Explain Domenico Tedesco's Schalke or Marcelino's Valencia tactic
Great video as always, could you please do a video about kaka ?
I need another iconic players episode soon haha, Iniesta would be a nice one.
You should be an analyst for any good clubs out there!
What software did you use to make this video? Any templates/designs would be very helpful. thanks!
Here because United views Ernesto has a candidate 😭😭😭
We're going to get out of tifo tactics videos before spurs get a manager 😂😭
Great video
Rakitic sketch looks more like Art Garfunkel. And Messi looks more like Grady from Sanford and Son. What will he do when Dembele is back online? Messi-Suarez telemetry up front seem to be struggling a bit and Alba is an average crosser and certainly not an effective striker when he gets the odd chance. Paco has done quite well up front for not being a star player.
Valverde should have been a success at Barcelona. I mean, Barça always got results except in few, crucial unfortunate instances but his conservative style was 'boring.'
Barcelona fans wanted beautiful, flamboyant football.
The wanted to relive the Tiki Taka from Johan Cruyff's era and the sexy exchanges between Xavi-Messi-Iniesta-Busquets and the back of the net with Pep Guardiola screaming instructions on the sidelines.
Barcelona is owned by the fans and the board succumbed to the pressure of "Valverde Out" and ever since then, Barcelona has been devoid of good football they sought and barely even got satisfactory results.
Lionel Messi covered the crevices in the team with his otherworldly prowess and the club has been in shambles ever since he left.
Ronald Koeman was fired this evening. The second after Ernesto Valverde and Barça was barely satisfying under him as well. It was tough. Non evident tactics, picking on players, making bogus comments in the press, Titanic defeats; name it - Culers had all the drama.
Xavi with good testimonies and not so much experience is the favorite to take over at the Nou Camp. There might not be surprises when he doesn't meet the mark; Barcelona has deeper issues than tactics, selecting the lineup, replying the press and whatever it is that coaches do.
Wow. Good video
I like this video. I think you did good by not chossing to show fottage of the play.
Nice analysis as always!
Please make a tactical profile on Michael Ballack. He was a unique number 8 & needs to remembered/presented more often.
Why don't people talk about him more often?
Because of Xabi Alonso, Xavi, Pirlo, Nedved, Iniesta, Scholes etc
Can you make a video about the Syrian national team tactical's mistakes that it's done in the world cup qualifiers.
Could you do a video to why he prefers Sergi Roberto over Nelson Semedo?
5:19 "Bareclona", srry i had to...Other than that, splendid video!
Can you guys make a video to talk about Zidane's successful tactics at Real? I'm very curious of how Zidane could won 8 trophies so fast and Real is very consistent.
"Freedom given to Lionel Messi"
Thats it, job at barca done. :3
He was a beast under valverde man
i loved this guy
He was really good, but they didn't appreciate him at all
as usual, EXCELLENT analysis.
Hi Tifo, just a post analysis. Tactically inclined, who do you think will make it through the tie CHE Vs BAR in the UCL this year. Love to get a response from you, but feel free to answer even closer to the due date. Thanks
Personally, I wish one the 4-4-2, our stretched mid-fielders and full-backs could play more like those of spurs in the the spurs tie against RMA. If we can play like that especially during the El classico tie and may be Vs CHE, then I'd ❤
Anyone else think Sven should have used a similar system with England? Lampard or gerrard could play that Paulinho role making late runs both would get plenty of goals and play a sitting midfielder behind the 3 scholes, lampard/gerrard and beckham? Scholes was played too wide during that time but he could do that iniesta role and beckham drifted in all the time anyway and then Owen in the Suarez role and rooney dropping off like he did for united in a similar role Messi plays in this 442.
Robinson, Neville, Ferdinand, terry, cole. Beckham, carrick, gerrard, scholes, rooney, Owen. Much better than the rigid 442 he used usually didn't play to key players strengths
So far according to attacking stats, they're good inside the box but has yet to show capacity to score outside the box. How the elite clubs exploit Barca's weakness has become an intriguing tactic rather than other teams. Will Chelsea fare against them?
Also, they're almost identical as City's in terms of scoring more inside.
Next Peps Barca please
Valverde will switch back to 4-3-3 when true wingers like Dembele becomes available again. It was clear since the first few games such as the US friendlies and the supercup disaster he used 4-3-3. But it proved to be very vulnerable, and with Dembele out, he adopted a 4-4-2 so that Barca can at least win games even though it had to be done pragmatically. At the moment I think he has done wonders for a squad that is on its last legs with a thin bench, let's give him praise for that
Underrated coach, the standards at Barca are so high he got sacked despite delivering two consecutive league titles
Not to mention the 2 ucl bottle jobs
Lucien Favre next please. Pls XD
Do Marseille's Tactics Explained
Can you do a video on barca tactics under pep and Chelsea under Mourinho
When the clubs come calling to ask you to help with visual info & tactics, don't forget the CZcams channel.
Guys could you make a video on the importance of Busquets?
Perfect analysis of Valverde's barca as seen this season.
He showed that he could figure out advanced tactical problems and solutions, by moving Messi to the number '10' role and ditching the 4-3-3 formation that was no longer suitable for barcelona's key players. Something that Luis Enrique is not good enough to realise.
I now see why johan cruyff saw him as the best choice after Guardiola.
I just don't see them playing as well as 2015,16,17 one. They have just been lucky to receive the desired results. Hopefully, dembele return is gonna give them some improvement on attack so that pressure can be reduced from suarez and messi.
Valverde destroyed the Barça way
Do a video on Zidane's Madrid
Once they sign Coutinho they'll probably set up like this (4-2-3-1):
Ter Stagen
Semedo Pique Umtiti Alba
Rakitic Busquets
Dembele Messi Coutinho
Suarez
Since Iniesta is getting old I expect him to slowly but surely be phased out from the starting line up especially after Coutinho comes. I still feel Barça should go for Verratti and play him in place of Rakitic though, I just feel like it's an upgrade which they need especially when someone like Iniesta starts getting benched
Lovey guys! 😍😘 Brilliant explanation.
Great music and voice over.
#Love_From_India💙
Aadarsh A come on Chelsea
Any Man U fans after this guy is touted as potential Interim??
A replacement or another option to Messi is needed Coutinho should be that
but Barcelona were deadly because they had Eto'o, Messi, Xavi and Iniesta and Alves
multiple players in different positions in their prime that could change the game even Pedro
You can count the number of influential players on one finger
I believe that is why Roma beat them.
If Pep had worked with Zlatan, Barca would have been more dominant
can you explain the mls record breaker Toronto FC's 3-5-2,
Will be interesting to see Hazard and Morata Vs Messi and Suarez, as they play similiar roles. (When Chelsea plays 3-5-2)
Well? How was it💀
Do a tactics tested pleaaaaaseeeeeee
