What a Legend!
When purchasing a coaster hub from Cjell I wrote in the order's comments "make an offering to the shred gods." The package I received was packed full with yellow flower petals and included a literal ritual offering to the shred gods with instructions on how to implement the offering. Cjell, like many other small builders, provide awesome experiences like this that you'll never get from big box brands.
P.S. Coaster brake bikes are one of the best ways to get closer to the shred gods.
That doesn't surprise me in the slightest. Cjell is a character and a wonderful human.

It doesn't get any better than Cjell delivering your El Continente to your door in the bread truck. Getting to go ride with him was just bonus time. Having one of the first production El Continente is very special to me.

There's VERY little sitting when you singlespeed, especially in Sedona. Cjell is a great rider and an even greater human.
I have 3 mone forks on rigid MTB... hope to one day convince him to build me a custom frame.
That was fun. Wish I had the skills and a bike like that one. Glad it was fun.
Love these small builders and their stories. I owned a small fab shop and often did the jobs nobody else wanted if only to do something more creative and not just doing the 100’s or thousands of parts some companies required. I was always learning something new and met some pretty talented craftsmen along the way. Also, Cjell is in crazy good shape being able to ride a singlespeed and carry on a conversation like that. Ah man!!! This is the story I've been wishing for, for a long time!! I've followed Cjell's work for a few years now but it's great to hear some stories straight from the horse's mouth.
