Just installed. Took about 1.5 hours. Having a magnet 10mm and 8 are a must. And a 6 and 3in extension with 6in 1/4 ratchet. Or battery ratchet. And don't forget a philips screwdriver.
Everything worked once I connected Bluetooth. Auto loads carplay/Android Auto. Was worth the price

Thanks for the great, detailed walkthrough. Will this kit work for an AU model? Everything looks the same, just flipped for right hand drive.
If the joystick and screen looks the same, it should work

Thanks for the great video. I installed the same unit in a 2015 RX350 but have found that the OEM reverse camera does not work any longer. I can only see a black screen with grid lines when I turn the steering wheel. Any suggestions?

Hey! I have the 2012 model with navigation, will this work for that model as well? I don’t see any difference in build between the two.
Unfortunately this is not compatible with 2012 models. The harness is different

You will need to install it to test it. You can come by our company to test it out

I have 2010 rx350 with navigation can I still use this on it? I don’t see why it wouldn’t let me know please.

Unfortunately not. At the moment we don’t have any plans to release one for the 2012 RX
How would the following work:
1. Backup camera
2. A/C controls
3. Parking sensors
Also does this disable, obfuscate or limit any functionality or menus of the vehicle? 2016 RX 350
All three will function normally even while in carplay mode. Backup camera show in reverse gear, climate controls via controls near the radio and parking sensors like normal as well. You won’t lose any factory functions

Will this work with my 2011 Lexus rx450 h. It looks to have the same headunit, nav screen and controls that you have in the video.

Hi thanks for answering my questions. The only video that helps with removing the dash(instrument dash cover) is your video. I could not find any video on replacing dash cover for this car. Could you please give me some advice on what I need to take off. Is it necessary first to take off everything that you took off in this video? part number is 55401-0E080-C0
Unfortunately we never had to remove the whole dash and won’t be able to provide a good advice on it

Backup camera works normally while in carplay and Lexus screen mode

The Lexus models seem to be some of the most difficult vehicles to remove In Car Entertainment systems from.

does this kit allow for the factory navigation to still work in conjunction with the carplay setup? I travel in places that sometimes has no data (mountain regions) so retaining the factory nav is desireable.
Yes factory nav will still work
Is this compatible with RX350 2010?
Unfortunately it is not
I did this to a pritine 07 is350. I now have a 13 rx350 as well. This looks qite a bit harder than the is350. I work on my own cars almost all the time. I used the grom vline. I would not do it again. I would not do this to the rx . I would have it done. But you would have to trust the instsller. I cant. Remember this will only work as good as your phone.

Absolutely. All factory controls are retained including climate controls

Please answer this question. They look very similar so why can it not be installed on a 2010.
@@paulcamalin5236 the connectors are different, the can data is different, the screen is different and the protocols are different. It’s a totally different system.
@@BeatSonicUS but it's the same cr*ppy voice activated GPS on 2010 to 2015. I don't know about the higher models. That's why I really need to replace both of my cars GPS with carplays. in terms of reliability RX is 10/10 but that GPS is just awful. It does not understand anything.
