- Roxy gets her first mod! I decided to upgrade the head unit in my 8 year-old Lexus RX350 with a bigger and more advance screen - simply because the original system was dated. And it was a wise decision! I'm so pleased with how it looks now. It's a 10.25-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and I can even watch Netflix on it while I'm driving :P I also installed a 360 surround video monitor camera system and a set of front and rear dashcam - which is a must have! I would highly recommend you to consider upgrading your old head unit because it just changes the cabin and driving experience.

Thanks for a very informative video and interesting as usual. Side topic a bit, I drive the same car, when on speeds above 100,there's wind noise coming from the driver and front passenger windows, do u have similar issue. I wonder if its the rubbers that need replacing.

It is not close enough cuz the original screen wasn’t a touch screen. But it’s manageable.

I have the same car and just purchased the same system after watching this amazing video but after install, I was only able to get the mouse to work on the original system but not the Android section? So I have to lean over and touch the screen to be able to use it ? But I might not have correctly set it up yet lolz is there a easy way to get the steering wheel and mouse buttons to work when using the android section of this device.
It is quite far to reach for it because the original screen placement wasn’t meant for touch screens. The mouse and steering control doesn’t work for android too. You’ll eventually get used to it :)
@@autobuzzmy ok and thanks for your reply, yeh that’s such a shame because the 1st system I saw, was the Android 7 screen like this and it came with a replacement mouse for the same Lexus. So you take out the old one and replace it with the new one but I chose to go for the updated version your using in the video. I believe it’s Android 9

Nope. Only touch screen. It works once you go back to the old interface.

and Android hu normally doesnt produce good sound, how does it fair against Lexus original hu?
I think I mentioned the sound quality of this android device is better than the original Audi head unit that came with my car. More punch.

I’m pretty sure that’s not in US dollars. I think this is in Malaysia so they use the Ringgit. You should do the conversion rate.
