Butterball Turkey - Jak na to + styl
Two suggestions. After seasoning the cavity, stuff it with onions, apples, carrots and celery. Also, make a compound butter with your spices and rub and shove it up under the skin of the turkey. Then do the oven bag! The breast will definitely be juicy and seasoned very well. I love these bags!
Last year we did these, We added orange, apple, lemon, onion all cut in half along with some poultry herbs, I'll add the carrots and celery this year.
I heard putting turkey breast side down will also help with juiciness?
@@Mariekr49 I knew someone that worked at a turkey farm and cooking the turkey breast side down gives you the juiciest turkey. It may not be the pretty traditional way but as far as flavor and juiciness it’s the best!
Does stuffing the cavity help
@@573semobulls3 stuffing in the turkey is delicious. Dont stuff it super tight and the butter and herbs plus the natural broth will be enough liquid. I knew someone who added broth in the pan cause she didn't think there'd be enough and it ended up ruined. Like soup. Hope yours turns out wonderful. Happy Thanksgiving.
I must admit I was skeptical. I mean, how tender could this turkey turn out? Well, in answer to that question let me just say this was The Most Tender turkey I have had in my turkey eating experience and I am a young 70 yr old. The turkey was ABSOLUTELY tender, moist, and delicious. This is now my new go to recipe for fixing turkey. Thank you so much for sharing this with us all. Love you. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
Wish me luck im her way this year i usually smoke my turkey but dont have a smoker anymore 😕
Seasonings have a hard time penetrating the thick skin of a turkey. My wife lifts up the skin and rubs the meat directly. Her turkey NEVER disappoints.
I never did think of putting the seasoning in between the skin and on the meat as well but I do the butter but I’m definitely going to try it with the seasoning to next Time
@@staysafe6206 Thanksgiving is next week!
Yes! Smother it with herbed butter on top, under the skin and cavity. And stuff the cavity with onion, apple and celery
@@Jakilyn any specific apple? I have honey crisp and Granny Smith ? Lol
I do a compound butter in between the skin I also inject it the compound butter has fresh thyme and rosemary limon zest lemon juice fresh parsley and various seasonings i use its delicious
Just when I thought I was tired of turkey, now really want turkey lol
LOL! Me too! I just ran out and got one with the bag. Geeeezus!!!!😂😂

Lovely, Miss Jaques !!
I never get tired of turkey ! I even have a cookbook, 365 days of turkey recipes. 🤣😁
I've been married for almost 40 years and always host Thanksgiving, that's a lot of turkeys ! I tried every different way to cook it but once I discovered this method it became the ONLY way. Easy and great results (in less time) every time! Happy Thanksgiving!
I absolutely love how easy you make it for 1st timers. Thank you💗
That's so cooooool how you show people how really simple it is to roast a turkey! Hats Off to the beginners!!!Use your own seasonings it's so easy! Try this one, too!!! Rub turkey with a little olive oil. Generously season turkey with Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Salt and Pepper. Slather turkey with some butter. Then, open a can of crushed pineapple and pour it over the turkey. Put pineapple bits on the bottom, cover with foil, and bake. The last 30 minutes of baking time take the cover off and brown up on top. Simply delicious, and makes gravy yum.
Excellent method using pineapple! Adding a whole orange works, too! And a few apples. Heck, almost any fruit works for flavor, tenderness, and a moist end result. 🦃
Now i need to see how long i leave it in oven n at wht temp
This was my last years recipe and everyone loved it. Using it again this Thursday
Terrific demo, Mama! So neat and tidy and no taking the turkey in and out to baste. It was a beautiful color in the end and so juicy, I could almost taste it! Thanks so much for this great idea!
My mom has always cooked her Turkey in a bag and it always came out great every time!!.. yummy!!
I made my first turkey this year and your recipe made me look like a pro! 💕 even the suegra was impressed 😂
Simply Mama you are the best! I made this recipe with the oven bag, yesterday for Christmas and everyone loved the turkey. I've also used the ham recipe 3 years in a row and it is also a fan favourite. Thank you for sharing your recipes.
Yum looks delicious Can’t wait to try this recipe for a juicy turkey this year.
Helpful, brief but just enough detail to help me feel confident in prep to roast for my first turkey.
Been using the remolds turkey bags for 31 years. My mom used them too. Making the turkey breast side down makes for a juicy bird as well. It won't be as pretty unless you flip it and brown it on top. Love you videos. Real home cooking
I never tried it in a bag, looking forward in making my Turkey this way this year. Looks great!
🥰🍗😊🦃🥰🍗😊🦃

Tried it. Loved it. Amazing! Thanks for sharing!
I love your cooking style dear . I’m not Mexican however I love Mexican food. Specially enchiladas. So delicious one of those day I have to make some enchiladas
Very helpful. I watch refresher videos every year before I cook my Turkey just to make sure Im not gonna burn it or mess up! Trying the oven bag this year. Used a buttered paper bag before but that is hard to butter first and then to get the bird into it was another battle. Happy Thanksgiving! 🍗
Thank you Mama 🦃🧡
YOU, are One AMAZING Lady!!! ❤️🙏
I’m going to be trying this recipe thanks for sharing
This video is so well done, thank you. We're doing the turkey today using the oven bag as well and this helps a lot. I stuffed the skin of the breast with compound butter and salted it last night, today I'll oil it, rub it with spices (minus salt), and throw veggies/herbs/lemon/garlic inside the cavity before bagging and roasting it. Your video will be on my list of yearly refresher videos for many Thanksgivings to come!
I will being trying this thank you for sharing
Ok. I found the recipe I’m using this year for my FIRST homemade Turkey!! Hope it comes out as good as yours. Thank you!! 👍😀
Looks awesome! Ready for thanksgiving 💕
I cook our turkey the same way, the only difference is, my sister likes to brine the turkey first. Great video sweetie💙💙💙

Looks super simple
U saved my Thanksgiving! LOL. I bought those bags because this will be my first year making a turkey! Thank you SO much!
Thank you. I used this to bake my very first Turkey! It's amazing that I made it this long without making Turkey dinner. My Mom, Dad, and Aunt always made the Turkey dinners. Very nice video. Thank you.:) Yum, yum. My kitties and I will enjoy this turkey. LOL 🤣
Looks like the bag keeps it moist. 👍❤❤❤
My friends ! It looks so delicious. Your cooking skills are amazing. Thank you for the good food.😘🧡🧡

I love using the roasting bag if I'm not smoking a turkey. Brown paper bag works well for a juicy golden turkey as well believe it or not.
My dad used a paper bag as well. Its always been no fail!
Looks delicious, thanks for sharing

Your dinner will turn out great, I’ll bet!
@@abunchahooey thank you!!! :)
This how my mother used to cook her turkeys and it was always so so juicy and tasted so good. Thanks for sharing and Happy Thanksgiving too!
The first time I made a turkey, I used an oven bag... my biggest tip/lesson for everyone is to let it rest before cutting the bag! 🤦🏻♀️ my bird dried up and as my husband would say, “turned into sawdust”. He has yet to let me forget my first turkey!! Happy Thanksgiving all!!
What do you mean by letting it rest ? I’m trying not to mess up this years turkey lol
@@iris5262 once you take it out of the oven, do not cut into it right away, you have to let it sit for maybe 20 minutes or more before cutting into it so the juices can redistribute into the meat.
@@sgia2154 thank you it’s my first time preparing a turkey this is so helpful !
@@michellyywellyy how was your turkey?
@@zabrakxd2399 thank you for asking, sorry for the late reply, but omg everyone loved it! we don't usually like buying turkey but i received one for free lol but it came out so good and the oven bag really helped to lock the moisture in.! big win!!

Angelica, I have been doing Turkey this way for decades. I rub butter all over mine then season. In addition the the veggies under the Turkey, I also put some in the cavity. This method creates a very moist turkey. And YES.... The juices make an awesome gravy!!

The bag is a must for juicy turkey!
Wht brand
Thanks I'll try it.
I just made it today and it turned out great and juicy
Awesome!!!! Because I just bought Oven bags and I might just try this way of cooking a turkey 🦃... thanks
I always cook my turkey in an oven bag. I butter my bird inside and out. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, ground sage and my secret ingredient is pat it with a thick layer of light brown sugar. Yep, brown sugar. My grandmother taught me the secret. Everyone loves my turkey. To make gravy, cook off the neck and giblets with onions and celery, drain the broth and thicken.
Wow i would love to have 1 of that ,turkey look very delicious.
Looks great
Been doing this for years, turns out great every time.
Wht brand r the bags you buy i want to order in amazon but dont know which 1
@@LaPhat8790 reynold's bags, same as the people who make foil. Walmart also carries them.
I used to use baking bags all the time for things like pork chops, chicken pieces, etc. Worked great. I don’t remember ever baking a turkey in one. May have to do that for Thanksgiving. I have 10 pound turkey in the freezer right now.
