Since you very recently did it, just a few questions please @djcaru1. 1. Were you able to download Mac OS from the fresh startup screen (did it download an older workable version)? Also, does it maintain wireless connection after erasing to continue your new install or did you have to enter your WiFi password somewhere beforehand? Hope my questions make sense....Thanks.

The easiest way to do it. My laptop didn't have the option of "Erase All Content" or something like that and I was looking like crazy for another method to reset the laptop. This video was so useful!

(it has macos ventura installed, idk if its hackintosh or not cuz the owner gave me with ventura, and all his files are there, and I want to remove them)

Hi, I did exactly those steps and it seems that everything was working fine, however, APP STORE and FaceTime do not open, it seems those two apps are not runing. Is there some issue regarding the reinstall process ?

After your tutorial my 2018 Macbook pro with intel processor gave me the question mark screen. After the erase step where you selected Machintosh HD and clicked on Erase Volume Group, Machintosh HD - Data was deleted. It seemed strange to me but I kept going and after the OS reinstall it gave me this problem. I'm running MacOS Big Sur.

Very helpful, the one concern is the fact that my 'macOS Base System' under Disk Images shows a significant amount of "used" just as your screen does. What is this information and is it something to worry about?

Apple's official documentation sucks and tells you to click things that quite simply aren't there. However your video covers everything and it works!
I never got "Macintosh" or "Macintosh - data" so I continued with erasing anyway and got "untitled" under internal. Now I'm trying to reinstall macOS but it won't stop saying "2 hours" + for the update with the progress bar staying completely blue. Did I brick my system? what do I do?

Make mention of the fact that when installing new os you’ll need a data bundle or wifi to download new set of mac os directly from apple server and without it the mac can’t be used. About 6gig data would be needed

When i hold command and r , recovery mode doesn't open, macOS utilities open instead

Reinstalling a new macOS at the end requires a Wi-Fi connection.this means adding my Wi-Fi details again.
I am trying to wipe my Mac mini to sell it but it’s not entering recovery mode. I am using a Corsair keyboard so I’m holding alt and R and then pressing the power button but it just starts up as normal…
