#football #haaland #nike - Sport
Quick disclaimer: Haaland hasn’t officially signed yet (at least it’s not officially announced), but according to our sources it’s only a matter of time now. So as our friend Fabrizio would say: here we go 😜.
Edit (31/03): it's official now 😎.
Lol what if youre wrong 😆🤣
youre too biased towards nike tbfh
But there is a chance he will be brand ambassador for Puma in the upcoming fashion show.
i heard rumors that he will go to adidas
I heard rumors he will sign with Pep boots.
Skechers was his first choice when we spoke.
The fact you made the video's as long as it needed to be and not extend it even if it's by 3 seconds for the mid-rolls earns my respect.
Can't wait to see your channel grow to a Million+ soon!
That tells you they are well funded, otherwise they wouldn't throw away that easy revenue.
Im better than mbappe
This comment is longer than it needed to be
*Likes the comment while realizing the big mistake he has done...*
The "As the Messi and Ronaldo Era is ending" hit so hard man...
Yeah man :(
all good things come to an end, so be happy we got to live in it
Especially if you duppprt CR7
nah, pretty sick of the fanboys by this point, its time for different guys now
Something to note as well is Nike's increasing foothold over Gen Z. Just look at how popular the Nike Dunk or Nike Tech Fleece is. Getting both Haaland and Mbappe would tip it even further in Europe. Nike has their future in the US secured, but getting both Haaland and Mbappe would even further cement Nike as the dominant sportswear brand. Especially with how much the Striker is valued over the midfielder or defender. Even if Adidas has Bellingham and Pedri, they can't match the Glitz and Glamour of Europe's two best strikers.
Messi alone is enough
@ChessMech i think he mean that Messi alone is good enough for Adidas after all he won the WC and got Adidas a lot of attention but what he's not understanding is that Messi is old now, he gonna retire from football soon and Adidas need a new super star to fill Messi role.
@@epicfilms2117 messi isn't relevant anymore in 5 years whereas haaland and mbappe have at least a combined 20 years more to go, and that's a conservative estimate
nike shoes are.. not great
Its not just the dunks, it's the Jordans and activewear. Nike will 100% have Mbappe & Haaland all over their Euros/Paris 2024 & North America WC 2026 campaigns. It will be like having two major Hollywood A listers marketing your footwear and apparel for hundreds of hours of screen time each year,
i've huge respect for the editor. these transitions, effects are so smooth.
Messi carries adidas so hard
And Kanye West
@@skgsinc1833 just Kanye

Hi to the man behind Athletic Intrest. Thankyou for your wonderful and crisp content regarding sports business. Before encountering your channel, all I know about sports was passion, dedication and hardwork. I'm aware of Brand wars but the details you showed made me in awe of how important brands are in the players growth and different aspects of every sport. I try to extract some of concepts learned from you in my sports career for sure. Thanks and goodluck for the Million++❤️
Good luck and thank you very much! 😀
Great video as always. I was also interested to know if Nike being the kit sponsor for Norway (his national team) also played a part in swaying Haaland to Nike, similar to Nike/France/Mbappe or Adidas/Argentina/Messi. Clubs are temporary, but nationality is forever.
You forgot that National team also can change sponsor. Lol
@@thecitizens4573 No I did not forget that. Lol. But I'm sure Mbappe being the face of both France and Nike, and Messi being the face of both Argentina and Adidas is far more lucrative for Nike/Adidas as they can run ad campaigns in sync with their superstars.
@@roxys999 Son is Adidas sponsorship but South Korea's kit is Nike.
@@1990Thunderbolt I know that. And Son isn't the face of any Nike South Korea ad campaigns. Just like how Saka (New Balance) isn't the face of Nike England. So what's your point?
@@roxys999 i don't get your point from your original comment. you said nationality is forever and i responded to that of part of son's kit's suppliers contrasts.
How did Adidas not help Messi grow his legacy? After all he was the first football player to wear personalised custom boots at a world cup back in the day and his "Messi" line Adidas boots are one of the most well known football products there is.
Having Messi was more of an advantage to Adidas than it was to Messi😅
Sorry but his boot line is like on and off, and usually we know how customized his boots are
Nike boots are just better
@@tired783 Nike boots are overrated when compared to other boots
@@TheWolfandreptile true, but the Nike effect is better than other brands
I am a longtime Manchester United fan, but I can honestly say there is not a player on the planet that I am more excited to watch then Haaland. Everytime I think he can't possibly be this good he does something else to blow my mind ever further... cue the 5 goals in a Champion's League match. He also seems like such a likeable guy in general that you can't help but want to see him succeed in life... even if he happens to play for City.
Really amazing video, well edited and great insights. Thank you for sharing!
Can u talk about Adidas deal with MLS and how effective that was next? love ur videos btw👌
Their bets are good in short and medium terms in terms of brand value.... But they don't have the legacy factor that Nike has
@@dragonslayer0 What a stupid comment. Adidas has not the legacy factor? What does that even mean? When I think of legacy, first thing that comes to mind is the legacy of composer whose music is play hundreds of years later. How are you supposed to take any guess about what legacy nike will have over adidas when the company has been around for less than 60 years?
@@FeeLikesChriZ He's probably 15, so for him something legendary is 5 years ago.
Erling Haaland!!🤘 Great video as always my friend!!
how on earth this channel's viwership is low, you are doing an amazing job man!
Thank you, Jasdeep! Just getting started 😉
because he's biased
@@heliosf2080 why is he biased??
But why did Haaland reject Adidas? you didn't answer the question in the title. The whole video was on how the player and the company benefit from the sponsorship but never addressed on why Haaland specifically chose nike.
He kinda mentioned it. It’s the legacy brand that Nike offers. Think of all the Nike athletes and now think of all the adidas athletes.

great to see an upload from you. loving the video
I’m early to an Athletic interest Video, years of waiting to be part of this elite squad 😎😂
The full video took 100% of my attention!
I think that your channel is such a class act. It's well put together about an interesting topic and it's not garish in its presentation. Even the subscription beg at the end is done in good taste. You have near Pareto distribution of subs. What are the numbers of other channels related to the topic?
I fucking love this channel man, it's probably my favorite one in CZcams. Bringing the heat with yet another awesome video!
Aiyoo another banger sports biz case study also the production quality is sooo good and editing is top notch love it as always and yeah 3:09 cracked me up!!
The puma being green as if it were a android was one of the entertaining thing I encountered today. Thank you!
At least they made it into the video. Not so fast New Balance, Under Armour, Lotto et al
It's ironic as Haaland himself is a Samsung man.
If Quality had a CZcams Channel...🤝
One of the best channels on CZcams. The content is incredible, keep it up
Thanks, Ben! No stopping now 😅
“Puma you dont even have a blue bubble” that was amazing

Haaland is the best🥇💙
Great info!
Amazing work and quality of these videos are immaculate too...🤩
Can Anyone tell me which software do they use ?
Nike’s PR and how they help players is amazing when you consider how nike marketed athletes like MJ,CR7 now Mbappe. On the other hand Adidas failed to utilise Messi and other great athletes.
Fr never seen an Adidas ad wit their athletes. Plus Nike has the better ads
@@syrth2788 where do u live because I’ve seen adidas commercials with athletes all the time
Because Adidas acts like a brand, as that what it is, not like a hollywood studio doing free PR for their players, you might think Nike is the one making the most money, but they pay crazy fees not only on their player's salary, but on all the PR they do for them, wich for the players is GREAT, but for them not so much
Been a subscriber of this channel for quite a while,I can say for sure that I've learnt more from this channel, more than what the average person can know
Amazing content
First of all thank you for english subtitles. I enjoyed this video despite not speaking english fluently.
Haaland is like the new era's Zlatan, but the low-key one. XD
I know it may be a little more niche than some of the topics you cover, but it would be fascinating to here your take on what is happening with shoe sponsors among sprinters right now: New balance is making a lot of moves (especially for Woman athletes), Nike let the last Olympic vhamp and the current world champ walk to Puma (who still hasn't released spikes to the public), and Adidas has signed a loy of top sprinters. What is going on? Why is Nike letting go of all their sprinters?
shoutout to the graphics department, beautifully made video, very captivating
really enjoyed this video
I love these series of videos.
1:25 Glad to see RepublicWorld making their way to international scene
Love your content
Thx for the like
If Haaland signs with Nike, it is because Nike will pay him the most amount of money. There is no other reason - period.
No top level player actually cares about the fit, because they get custom products if they don't like them anywaysw which is really inexpensive for a brand to do. Messi sometimes used to wear a special leather version of the F50 that was not available to the public. When Neymar was with Nike he advertised the Hypervenom 2. However, he actually wore a pair of Mercurials painted as Hypervenoms.
Even if they like the retail version of a product. What they will always get is a boot that is custom fitted for their feet. I have seen videos of Pro player boots that were a size 9 7/8. A size that does not exist for retail, but was perfect for the professional.
The same can be said about brand reputation and history. No player actually cares about the brand. While they are able to generate money on social media. The brand benefits from the player and not the other way around. He won't get more Instagram followers if he wears Nike instead of Puma.
The only difference would be, if the athlete actually has a share in a brand. Like when Federer ditched Nike shoes for On. He probably doesn't even have a contract with On. But because he has a share of the company, its success will bring him more money longterm
You got a new sub❤
this account is legit🔥🔥. Few hours ago nike and haaland just announced their partnership😂😂❤. You earned a sub.

This channel will have multi-million subscribers sooner or later. MARK MY WORDS!
Great video, and an interesting time for athletes. The big sports brands no longer have as much leverage as they think and RFed could have set the new normal with athletes owning smaller brands. Could Haaland do this! Maybe he should also go with Diadora like his old pal Roy....

title of the magazin right at the beginning "Lando Norris is driving McLaren back to glory". haha, funny.
Oh my... 😄
Use to buy boots based on celebrities.
Now older, I buy based on fit n need e.g turf vs studs, which maybe a different brand each.
But if I was a brand, I would do the same as them
Was never a fan of Nike's clothes or shoes. For some reason never felt comfortable in them. But at the same time, always felt comfortable in Adidas' clothes and shoes. But might just be my body type.
In any case, doesn't matter what you wear if you cannot play. In his case we know he can play. But can he be as consistent as a Ronaldo or Messi?
He doesn't seem to have the same skill set as either of them. So that is already a disadvantage for him...
Tech fleece, total 90s, hypervenoms, mercurials, R10 ect
I love nike shoes. idk i like jordans.
Its kinda sad how the industry went from a competitive diverse market to a duopoly to now an American monopoly.
Europe is now us vassal
Are there books you will recommend to understand Business of sports better ? Especially in modern context .. will really appreciate if you can share few .. thanks
I just get to the remember Zlatan all the time. Perfect athlete for advertising your sporting brand.
Thank you for pronouncing Nike correctly. 🙌🏽
Young players usually are big NBA fans (Mbappé and Haaland both are). They'll naturally tend to opt for Nike.
"Puma you don't ever have a blue bubble" 😂😂😂😂
“The moment you get comfortable that’s when shit start creeping up on you” 🔑
Should have signed with Sketchers... 🤷♂
Now is the perfect time for your channel to make a special video about Kvicha Kvaratkhelia and his transfer details.
I find it ironic that in a video all about diversifying brands and picking the best deal/product, Athletic Interest talks about blue/green bubbles.
Halland en una entrevista dijo que era muy fan de jordan tambien por eso su idolo es jordan siempre viste sus zapatillas jordan cuando anda en calle.
There's only one problem with this video in my opinion: There will not be another duality like Ronaldo and Messi in football. And even if there is, Haaland and Mbappe are not really cut for it.
Not a football fan myself, interesting video nonetheless. 👍👍👍
“Become a meme with every interveiw” 😂
