@@thekyuwa because F1 is the top competition? also netflix show are aired after the season end. Plus their F1 performance this year is just LOL...
I think they both need each other. In Ferrari's case, because of marketing reasons: F1 is their base for existing as an independent team in the first place (they were an Alfa Romeo works team back in the 30s), the reason why they started selling cars in the first place, and the thing that differentiates them from Lamborghini and other luxury car brands. Without F1, they'd be a more historied and older Lambo.
F1 is the history of Ferrari, but Ferrari is something new now. Itâs evolved To modern art in the zeitgeist.
tbh a lot of people, especially in Ferrariâs biggest market: North America, arenât aware of F1
Most people arenât car enthusiasts, they see Ferrari as a symbol of success or tbh as a historied Lambo
@@unclecousin5782 Yep, most Ferrari buyers don't give a rats ass about F1, especially not in North America. A smaller brand like Subaru is more associated with its racing history globally then Ferrari is.
@Real Talk
Globally Ferrari is more recognized as a racing team than Subaru
F1 just has that pull that no other racing sport has
But in America yes Ferrari is just seen as a more historied Lambo

Ah Ferrari, the prancing horse mystique. I remember when I finally went to Maranello and Modena to visit the museums, they show a video telling the Enzo's story and finishes with the thank notes to the Commendatore, first from the employees, then from the fans and owners of the models and finally for those fortunate enough to experience and drive a Ferrari once in their lives (with those words). So many legends regarding Enzo, he used to make everyone to wait up to 4 hours in a cold room before meeting him, back when there was no dealers, so kings and tycoons had to subject to Il Drake, otherwise they would go home without their beloved scarlet machine
Seems like a cult.

My first real port of interest in Ferrari was the F40. A supercar with all the elements of prestige art and beauty yet it's purposeful stance suggested this car would deliver an adventure beyond expectations for the few privileged to be seated in the drivers seat, igniting the glorious harmonious sound of an engine manufactured in a country synonymous with style, fashion, beauty and exclusivity. It didn't matter on closer inspection that it's interior seemed sparse by comparison to rival manufacturers in the sector, in fact the message was forthright, transparent, unpretentiously clear this car's focused engineering was to unravel the complexities of performance balance weight then deliver a world class product on it's own terms, thereby setting a benchmark unquestionably designated to it's marque and the genius mind of company founder Enzo Ferrari.

One of the parts people tend to ignore is that Fiat owned 50% of Ferrari in 1969 and 90% in 1988. Without it, none of the classic models people often cherish would even exist. Ferrari was primarily a racing team and Enzo was not interested in producing road cars.
