- After a last minute decision to go home to New Zealand after being away for 6 years, I finally get to spend some time with friends and family. This 2 part series gives you a sneak peek into my childhood and upbringing!
SV Parlay is a hurricane damaged Lagoon 450 catamaran, which Colin rebuilt with friends and has started sailing around the world. They found bulkhead damage on their catamaran in Panama, so have fixed her up, and are almost ready to cross the Pacific Ocean!!

In this clip I realized why I continue to tune in and watch Paraly's adventures: Colin never forgets where he comes from and who helped him get there. Case in point: at the 15:00 minute mark, he thanks a staff member of the television crew by name. That is the mark of someone that takes the time to understand how everyone is involved and impacted. Much respect.

Watching you with your dad got me all emotional. I lost my dad in 2020 and he was a lot like yours, could do anything and loved his kids. He was my hero. On a side note, watching your channel for the last year or so has me changing directions in life and planning to take the family to sea. We are making preparations to transition from land life to sea life. Thank you for documenting all that you do, you are truly an inspiration to so many people.
Oh you just about made me cry. Losing someone is so hard I husband was killed year and a half ago in a car accident and you miss them so much. Peace and love. 😢

I lost my fiancé last year in a climbing accident. Grief from a sudden loss like that is so complicated and devastating. Just you coming and honoring her, definitely was special to her mom.

Out of all the CZcams creators out there, Colin is the one that I would enjoy having a beer with the most. Seems like someone who would be a true lifetime friend that would never let you down, no matter your circumstances. Far a few between will you find that type of soul. Was amazing to meet you in person and had such an awesome time on the meet up with the other Patreons…crazy that I ran into someone who grew up at the same yacht club as me back in South Africa many years ago…and even sailed with my father in a Cape to Rio race in the 1970’s….👍😀

I lost my sister on 2022/12/07 exactly one month after I lost my brother on 2022/11/07. I don't have much more time to waste waiting.

Lived on Great Barrier at Medlands Beach 52 years ago for five years. Alternate lifestyle. Awesome community of great families. My twin daughters were raised there. Beautiful natural rock pool there, 2m deep, only seen at low tide in the middle of the beach. They learnt to swim in there. Check it out. East coast surf if wind is easterly massive swells come all the way from South America. Medlands and Awana are the best surf beaches Colin! Love NZ, our home too. Regards Murray and Jean
