ive done that same door spring install. i just don't have a door spring to install in the drivers door of my 1979 Malibu station wagon. great vid and love seeing the nova tc
Good job on the springs... yeah, they look scary! Those plastic pieces look familiar! Your wet sanding and buffing looks awesome, Rick! I hope to follow in your foot steps...
thankx reubin, very scarey spring install, defintaly getting the right tool for the next time, lol,im realy enjoying the wet sanding ,i know that sounds wrong but i just love the transformation of the way it changes the quality of the paint, just amazes me,lol ,from what im seeing u r doing a superfine job on louise,i just know she is going to look great,tc and thankx for watching,tc
"No casualties so far" lol "hope it doesn't fly...everywhere" lmao U sure know how to catch an interest! :) For those plastic weldings u can use wire or mesh to make them stronger. Jetta is looking real good. Nice job w the fender thing
,ive heard some bad stories on these door spring, lol, thankx for the tip on the plastic,i think i will try to make that piece stronger where its down so low on the car, thankx for watching,tc
thankx anthony,i could only half watch myself, had 1 eye closed, lol, watching close for louise turning white,i bet reubin is excited, thankx for watching,tc
To make a stronger repair of the plastic it's good to add something to reinforce it when melting it together i.e. non ferrous wire. You should also be able to use plastic zip ties as filler material.
thankx for the tips,i do think i should do more since that part is down so low,im going to give the zip ties a try, never thought of using them, looks like the same material, thankx for watching,tc
hr just showed putting one with the tool he has...dangerous for sure. cool how u compressed the spring. car looks awesome. been telling e1 to go look and what you did to get er looking like that. Yellow really pops grey car looks nice
quick note on the car insurance i belive one of there loop holes is that the car must be kept in a garage, might want to check that before you pull the trigger. there,s a bunch of diffrent companies each with there own set of rules, see ya buddy :-)
thankx bruce for the heads up,ill be asking that question for sure, dont wanna get caught up in the fine print, thankx for watching tc and have a good one
