Tackling the interior electrical is a pain!!! It's a mouse house finding all the little issues and fixing it like going into a home that has been vandalized and you have to fix everything. ..I am working on that last..great to see you doing so I can learn...good to see ya Rick!
CountrySideClub thankx cj,wiring is a nightmare for sure,i just gotta dig in and get it figured out,one thing im glad i did was paint under the dash silver, sure is alot easier to see,now i just gotta get a comfy matt to lay on,lol, gotta get thso one figured out so i can figure out the 4,8 swap coming i hope this winter ,thankx for watching,tc
Scott Russell thankx scott, will be back on the nova full swing once the snow gets here and by the feels of things that wont be long, lol, thankx for watching,tc
asicerik not as bad as it looks, about 20 hrs cutting and splitting and another 20 piling and its enjoying the heat after that,i only look at the first log and smile when i get to the last one, lol, thankx for watching eric,tc
Glad to see your making more progress on the nova, Your one busy guy Rick a lot of work getting ready for winter in your part of the country, down here I just have to make sure and pay my natural gas bill every month and I'm good to go lol. Well one good thing about cutting all that wood is you get a good workout lol. Take care.
Dash looks good back in. Those cables for the heater control look like fun to get going. Guess I better dig my lawn chair out so I can sit back and drink some beers while you get to wood cutting LoL. Take care buddy.
***** thankx jerry, the cables wouldnt have been so bad if i had put them in at the right time, lol,i think ive had this car apart and back together 3 times now,i might have a beer or 2 also before i get through this pile of wood, lol,tc buddy
Hi Rick, Man I see you got your work cut out for you, I better get my act together with wood, Winters coming fast, The Nova is looking good, Have a good one and take care.
MrWillis5719 thankx steve,i hope i got my wood early, after last winter we deserve a long nice fall, but gotta get ready just in case, lol,u take care and have a good one too
The Shade Tree Fix-it Man thankx george, ill be glad to get the wood all done and get back to some serious progress on the nova, hoping to be on the road next year,tc
A cheap sub for dynamate is a rubber layer they use on roofing it is just like dynamite only it does not have the silver foil on it and it is way cheaper and does the same job... Looks like you got the wood , happy cutting
time flies...seems like you just finished cutting wood! Nova looking good as well. Maybe the front marker/signal wires are just reversed to that front socket? Thanks for the video!
vw64manyrd doesnt seem like that long ago does it,long winters ,short summers realy suck, lol,u could be right on that socket,i got the rear harness out and it looks like all the sockets need replaced, going to be a project in itself on the wiring, lol,tc
This pile looks bigger than the one you did last Fall! Be careful with the saws and send us a video of the cutting like you did last time, that's always interesting to watch too.
I remember years ago that the dash light has a spring restate thing that needs sand paper some times , pop the switch out and check for rust on the rotation pluger / spring area.
The spring is on the back of the switch , the switch comes out fast , from dash get it in your hand and you should see the coil if it there to see then clean her up ,, chuckles. The switch under dash has a push pin to pull out the plunger knob and shaft, then unclip the wire plug , then unscrew the retaining flange nut, , walla switch in hand. look it over and check grounds too.
homotorsports thankx anthony,im liking how the nova is coming along but she sure is throwing alot of glitches at me,lol, sure is a learning experience,i think all the day laborers are scared of these big piles of wood, lol, ill just cut a bit everyday and my young fella going to help next weekend,tc
Rick, do you have a wiring diagram for the car? Tracing the dash light power source to the fuse box is best done first. It's easier to change a fuse than remove the dash again..
***** thankx steve, under the hood i used the 78 harness and under the dash continued to the rear lights is the 75 harness, not sure if this causes issues or not but i do have the diagrams for both,i hear ya on dealing with the wood, worse 3 weeks of the year coming up,but i sure like how it keeps ya warm, lol,tc and thankx for watching
what yellow did you decide to go with...first time ive seen the whole car painted, i must of missed the video's you posted when you were laying the paint down...over all it looks very clean
David Kornrumpf II thankx david, this is competetion yellow, same as the cameros, saw one going and realy liked it,been wet sanding and can hardly wait to get it all polished out, thankx for watching,tc
I use this as insulation for my cars: www.amazon.com/Thermwell-FV516-Frost-King-Insulation/dp/B000IO6Q2Y The adhesive sticks strong on clean metal/paint and it is easy to cut and form.
Kenton Groombridge thankx,i looked for that here localy and just not available, going to get my wife to check and see how bad the shipping is,i do like that its self adhesive, would make the job much neater, thankx for showing and thankx for watching tc
I had a 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner, the dash lights refused to work. Turns out the 'dimmer' switch, dial was faulty... I have a 1975 Nova now, no dash light, no turn indicators on the dash, they work outside the car... Is it possible the headlight switch/dimmer switch is the problem?
wtbm123 no tail lights yet, going to put the rear harness in next, sure hope that fixes the dash lights, dont realy wanna take it apart again,i will make sure i get some good grounds back there, thankx for the info terry,tc
I matte you are doing a exelent job you are making a show car and i live American cars .Sory to ask but have stickers there you can send mi please i wel be very please fi you send mi one. Stay well stay strong. Cheers matte and have a good one also.

rick...i am trying 2 get as much info on my wood burner...b-4 i put it in...WOW..any ways ...do u know how many feet pipe u had 2 go go up...once u got 2 the out side of your garage ..i am saying is once your on your roof (outside) how many feet did u have 2 go up in the air 2 get a good draft? i hope this made sum kind of cents LOL
mine has a 6inch stainless still flex pipe . it go's up through the old chiminy about 12 feet.it seems to work good . some times the pipe needs to be insulated so moisture dose not condense .
wildeyednorthernboy i checked tonite and mine is about 2 feet above the peak of the roof,i also had to put in a manual damper down close to the stove to slow the fire down i get alot of draft because im out in the open and get alot of wind,i know some people who had to add xtra chimney because they were in a sheltered area and had to get higher to get good draft,i would definately start with 2 ft above roof peak and when u open your door on your wood burner u will feel the amount of pull and then u should know if u need to go higher, hope this helps,i know u will like the wood heat, its warm,tc
Hi Rick. Great progress. If you are going for original I actually have the radio out of my 78 if you want it. I took it out to put in a cassette player. Just message me your address and I'll send it out to you. It's been sitting in the bottom of one of my tool boxes for about 20 years.
medoitmeself thankx buddy, thats very kind of u but im just leaving the old one in to fill the hole and going to put in a cd player in a console that i will make later on,i think this radio does work but the speaker is shot, but i do apprechiate the offer,tc and thankx for watching
