  • The Drones from halo are a pretty interesting creature. Ive covered quite a few species so far and the biology of these particular aliens actually makes sense. So with that said lets dive into the lore and morphology of the Yanme'e and figure out how and why they were adopted into the covenant!

    Thanks for watching guys! So I am going to pull back the release date on my videos as work in the lab is getting pretty heavy so youtube is getting tougher to keep up with! I Honestly Not surprised that they can Pick up Humans with ease. Higher gravity usually means naturally higher muscle Mass. On lower gravity its strength increase if Not downright multiply. The best Chance to beat it is to aim for the eyes (lets be real, going for the sensory Organs is always the best bet) they do seem to be large and squishy enough to be penetrated with a well placed punch. Risky but thats your best bet to atleast somewhat disable it. An Other way would be get between the larger plates and pry them off. Thats like ripping somebodies Skin off. The pain alone could Kill it there.

    - A fully automatic shotgung with a long barrel, sort of like a mix between an AA-12 and these guns british people use to shoot at birds.
    - A light (20mm or something like that), fully automatic grenade launcher firing fragmentation shells with proximity fuses, essentially a portable Flak gun!
    You could also combine the two using HE shotgun shells with proximity fuses.

    Don’t try to break the drone’s carapace, if you have a knife you weren’t really unarmed but still you want any blade or sharp object, even just a shard of glass from a breast window or something, and stab between the armor and attack the head, if it picks you up you need to force it down somewhat slowly, with a gun that’d be easier because you could hold onto its legs while you shoot one of its wings a few times, if it still doesn’t drop or start falling shoot the corresponding song on the other side, repeat until either you lose your grip on it and fall to your death or it gets lands or gets so low to the ground that you can safely drop down. In either case congrats you basically just won because it can’t fly well with you in its grasp and will have to let go, you can also shoot it a lot now and kill it as one does.

Some things that could be used is the fact he doesn’t seem to age, after his dip in Hell he become incorruptible so the marker wouldn’t affect him. His suit absorbs energy much like the energy the markers use to reanimate and keep the nercromorphs alive. I think it would be a cool crossover where the line “knee deep in the dead” is pretty accurate.

    So, the creature must have a respiratory system different from that of earthly bugs, otherwise they would not get enough oxygen. Furthermore, they probably have some kind of internal skeleton as well for their muscles wouldn't be strong enough to hold them attached only to the carapace. Finally I never really got the "not feeling fear" part; do they not have a sense of self-preservation? Or is it a situation like the a cockroach victim to A. compressa and the "not hive-mind ones" are like the actual healthy ones... I'd get a tinfoil hat for that last one

    • @RoanokeGaming
      @RoanokeGaming  Před 5 lety +3

      agreed, I would imagine it would have a dedicated circulatory system to distribute nutrients, as for a skeleton I do not believe they have that but perhaps ligament like pieces running through the body allowing them movement, as for the hive mind mentality, correct! they don't feel fear or self preservation because the hive is more important than their life

    • @user-cq1cw8xz7f
      @user-cq1cw8xz7f Před 5 lety +3

  • @Rangerdp117
    @Rangerdp117 Před 5 lety

    I think the best way to deal with one would be grapple the limbs and break them (like breaking a tree branch in half), the joints should be relatively weak (comparatively). Once you can dissable a few limbs it will probably flee or if you can hit the wings they will probably break extremely easily due to their thin nature (again relatively). This would pretty much doom it if you get the arm crippled and manage to get a wing as it tries to escape. You just have to hope your armor holds up long enough for you to do this, and of course any weapon or improvised weapon would help.

    In hand-to-hand combat I think I'd go for ripping off its antenna and sticking it in its eye to blind it and then probably get behind it and start tearing at its wings but that's just me. I don't know if you'd actually be able to kill it if it's anything like a real bug it wouldn't bleed out and you couldn't drown it so you'd probably have to dismember it more like you said pick something up and beat it to a pulp.

    Luke himself had to give me a pass on the out of ammo thing when i told him, I myself have around 3-4,000,000 rounds of ammo and counting. That and man sized pocket knife i always carry. I think that's enough for personal use right? Not to mention i have everything from 22LR to 300 windmag so...

    because of the lack of air resistance on their homeworld due to less dense atmosphere, (which does not make sense for a high gravity planet, but anyway,) this would make the gravity just that little bit more deadly, and would make the wings even better suited to create lift (pretty cool) but their strength would be increased if they use a hydraulics system within their bodies to move like earth insects (assuming that they are fighting in a lower gravity environment)

    I don’t really like bugs but these guys are actually kinda cool 😎 also there’s one thing I don’t understand what you’re talking about here but if the precursors created all the civilisations that means unfortunately they didn’t evolve naturally and wait humans with adrenaline pumping through them have beat bears to death holy shit man that is absolutely fucking amazing😄😄😄😄😎😎😎😎😊👍🏻!!!
