  • The Augmentation process of the Spartan II program is absolutely brutal. And since it looks like Halo Infinite is bringing back the original art style, Lets discuss them! This spartan program brings the question of morality issues ONI is willing to go to save the Human race. How exactly have things gone for the children abducted and the experiments they endured? Well lets cover that and more!

    I've personally experienced time slowing down as I was a US Marine who'd seen combat. They actually warn us about this during training but it's something else to actually experience it. I can say without a doubt it's the most disorienting thing I'd ever felt.

      Roanoke Gaming To me the Spartan-IIs are the coolest but some of the most tragic characters in fiction, designed to fight their own kind but ended up becoming heroes thanks to the covenant.
      There's a great scene from Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn where after the main characters are rescued Fred-104 and Kelly-087 take off their helmets showing their age, not being much older than the cadets. This contrasts their huge physiology and absolute towering nature.
      Sorry for the ramble I might have an obsession with Spartans.

  • @giantfrigginnerd
    @giantfrigginnerd Před 6 lety +166

    Human eyes can see a lot more than 30fps naturally, with motion blurring sure it is harder to tell the difference but the point stands. Try playing something on a 144hz monitor and then stick it down to 30 or 60hz and tell me it doesn't feel horrible.
    Other than that really loved the video, keep up the good work my dude.

    • @RoanokeGaming
      @RoanokeGaming  Před 6 lety +19

      @dldoubleg2915 Před 6 lety +27

      most people can probably tell the difference between 30 and 60 fps watching a video but just watching a video and actually controlling the video are two different things, most people probably couldn't tell the difference between a video at 60 fps and a video at 120 fps, but most everyone would be able to tell the difference between a video game at 60 fps and 120 fps

      @ethandearman3965 Před 6 lety +4

      I believe there is a test you can do with a strobe light that can change how many times it can flash per second. You pretty much turn it up until you can't see the strobing and that would be how many fps you can see. I saw it years ago I'm not sure how accurate that is.

    Their heightened reaction and reflexes along with a body capable of moving much faster than normal allowing them to perceive time slowing down relative to themselves reminded me of Point-man from FEAR and imagined what HALO would be like if they incorporated that gameplay mechanic into it.
    It would be cool if someone created a mod with sound and graphical tweaks into the single player campaign of the remastered version of Halo 1,2 & 3. But it would need to be ported to PC with full modding allowance.

    • @RoanokeGaming
      @RoanokeGaming  Před 6 lety +5

      How do we know that's not what it actually already is? ever noticed you can run up on the Covenant and they seem to be slower? Maybe that's the reaction time!

    • @VegarotFusion
      @VegarotFusion Před 6 lety

      Well yeah especially in Halo 1. It's easy to get the jump on the enemy on any difficulty and with the right tactic plus load out and/or coop teamwork you can decimate battle groups in seconds.
      But not Halo 2. Only 1/4 of your body makes it around a corner and your dead. Even Heroic is a challenge Legendary is just brutal & unforgiving. Each battle group of 2 elites and 4 grunts was not to be taken lightly. But playing coop legendary Halo is just the way it's meant to be played especially if there's 3 or 4 of you. Whoever died passed the controller.

    *12:10* I've experienced time slow down in an Adrenaline Rush during a fight in Highschool!
    This guy 3-4 Inches taller than me tried to start a fight with me to prove himself to his friends, I tried walking away but then as I turned my back to him he pushed my back with both hands pushing my Shoulders in a Quick motion. I tried walking away to reach the door during lunch but I guess my fight or flight response kicked in and my body just turned around completely and said "fuck it" ....as I faced him *I gave him a quick shove with both hands then dropped a downward right hook across his Left Cheekbone IMMEDIATELY after I pushed him, and after that anything I followed up with seemed like he LET me do it, it felt like he was just STANDING there lookin at me, because TIME was moving sooo slowwwww*
    *After that he pushed me up against the wall and kept me against it and I started punching the sides of his ribs with my left hand, then pushed him away to get off the wall, as I wrapped my arm around his neck, I just turned and rotated until I got him on the ground, by that point I landed on top of him and was getting ready to give him the ground and pound and start punching him, but his fat friend pulled me off of him and Then I stood up* , the Assistant Principal was walking our way and was facing me the minute I stood up, I then shouted saying "IT WAS SELF DEFENSE! HE STARTED IT and Pushed me 1st!" and started walking to the Office already to explain myself as I walked to the office I could hardly catch my breath! *The amount of energy I let loose in what felt like 3 Minutes was actually HALF that, the entire fight barely lasted a minute and a 30 seconds* (._.)
    After Googling the effects of an Adrenaline rush when I got home, I realized the reason it felt like time slowed was because my PERCEPTION of TIME Sped up!
    *In the end the Nurse came to the office and gave us Ice packs he needed one for his face which his Cheekbone swelled like a Purple Grape, and I needed an Ice pack for my right fist since the pain relief from Adrenaline had worn out and my Right Middle knuckle was on FIRE* (._.)
    *Adrenaline really is a Life saving hormone to say the least, it can mean the difference between Life and Death in survival situations, especially during fights* (._.)

    wait if they grew after the augmentations their bones would SHATTER? at 14? If i'm not mistaken Master Chief is actually pretty big. Grunts and flood spore/popcorn are actually about avg human size but appears small in the games because Master chief is so damn huge. Wouldn't that mean that he was already this big when he got the augmentations?

    • @RoanokeGaming
      @RoanokeGaming  Před 6 lety +1

      Basically at 14 due to the other implemented augmenations the spartans are fully grown, their bones have lengthened due to the implant on their thyroid and their sped up puberty. After this their growth is stopped and their bones are augmented. Should the body try to grow after this for any reason, then the bones shatter

Exo skeletons could be made with enough money but they would be a lot like the MK I's. I would say maybe a primitive Spartan I. but the cost would be enormous and it would really be one of those "Just to do it" sort of deals.
