    I just recently bought an EPAX E6 last week. One of the main reasons: I live in NC and EPAX are based 20 minutes from me. This means same timezone support and very fast shipping. My unit arrived within 48 hours of ordering. I bet in a pinch I could drive there to get resin...

    Great video. Appreciate the info. I've been looking at the Saturn but you bring up some good points. Parts availability is a big plus for me since these things WILL wear out. I have a Mars and in a year have had to replace the screen already.

    • @WMBayouLures
      @WMBayouLures  Před 3 lety

      Yeah a lot of people don't understand the screen will nee to be replaced at some point. Epax wait time currently is about 3 days, Elegoo Saturn wait time 3-4 WEEKS. I am sure they will get that sorted out eventually but right now it is rough.

    I have a Mars 2 mono and after tons of fails I just stopped taking the build plate off to pry off my prints. Just leave it on the machine. Haven’t had a problem since. Still thinking between the E10 and Saturn.

    • @WMBayouLures
      @WMBayouLures  Před 3 lety

      That is another way to work around that problem for sure. The more I use the E10 the more I appreciate it though, it just prints and keeps on printing. I would love to see the Saturn with a similar build plate design, that is really the only issue I have with the Saturn.

    Hi, just found your videos, some inspiring stuff! can you print masters and moulds on the diagonal to get them bigger? If so what sort of size could you do up to?

    • @WMBayouLures
      @WMBayouLures  Před 3 lety +1

      For sure! Masters are easier to print diagonally, molds get really heavy and the supports have a hard time holding up solid blocks of resins. I found this calculator (www.omnicalculator.com/math/diagonal-of-rectangle) and it looks like the E10 can fit about 11.5 inches on the diagonal. You can always print in multiple parts and glue together, then you are unlimited on length.

    • @Beardy_fisherman
      @Beardy_fisherman Před 3 lety

      Spot on mate, wondered about glueing together, looks like this is the way forward. Printing offers a lot more options over cnc. Can't undercut fins etc

      @WMBayouLures  Před 3 lety

    • @WMBayouLures
      @WMBayouLures  Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks man. I mean toys are fun but it is hard to find people printing really big heavy stuff and that has totally different dynamics compared to a little figure. Most of the advice you see on printing miniatures is the exact opposite of what you want to do printing larger, solid pieces

    Hello,
    I hope you're doing well. I've been having some trouble with my Anycubic printer, and the Siraya sculpt resins. I've tried all the recommended settings, including using a temperature-controlled box, but I haven't been successful in getting any prints.
    I noticed that you have the Epax e10, and I'm getting the same one only because I know you make it work. Would you be kind enough to share your settings with me? It would mean a lot and could potentially help me get better results.
    Additionally, I'm curious if you use an additional temperature control enclosure while printing. I want to avoid any issues like my Anycubic printer stopped working after I moved it to a hot garage.
    Your assistance and advice would be greatly appreciated.
    I really appreciate any help you can provide.

    How many prints does the Epax last for?

    • @WMBayouLures

      don't buy x1 series, its just wrong engineered from the bottom. resin went under the screen first 6 prints, i gad no tape nothing like that, had to rebuild it m with tape it still cures resin and drags debree during the printing and later it bonds to your part.
