Well, it's finally come.
I have a new favourite transformation and it's one which I really do think justifies the rage and anger of a Lycan.
We all knew Lucian was the best Werewolf and now we can see why!
Thanks for watching. - Zábava
considering that Van Helsing was a low budget film they did an EXCELLENT job on the CGI. this transformation and Hugh Jackman's transformation are my top favorites
this isn't van helsing-
Painful in the beginning, but when you convert pain into adrenaline and know how to channel it becomes effortless.
i love how he just hurled the transformation on like that!
Ahh this is the best I LOVE these movies!!
Lucian looks soooo bad ass!!!! He kicks it!
Why is everyone saying he's not a werewolf, but a Lycan? A lycan is just a type of werewolf, Selene (?) even tells Michael about Lycans and when he seems confused about what she means, she simply states "Werewolves." Lucian was even born directly from a werewolf lol.
Ganondorf Dragmire lycans have the ability to change back to human, direct werewolves bitten by William corvinus do not.
+Jay Capildeo I know ;p
It is believed Lucians mother was bitten while she was pregnant and the virus mutated in him
It’s the wording which makes them seem different. Werewolves are basically a race which can never transform back to human form whereas lycans can shapeshift between human and wolf form and turn back to human whenever they want.
It's different in this series
I must agree, has to be one of the best transformations...I love it, Im so glad Im not the only freak around lmao...This is my favourite scene in the movie,
0:15 Best roar i ever heard!!!
antony hanna it’s a King Kong roar
The shorter muzzle and blacker hair might indicate Lucian's unwillingness to transform all the way--beyond the possibility of resuming human shape. The differences are interesting.
AlienatingPredation yeah I realised he still has some of his human hair even though he transformed
+James Wilson
After Lucian removed the shackle, there was nothing to keep him from completing the transformation. If he had grown the longer muzzle and greyer hair of his wild counterparts, he probably would have lost the ability to resume human form.
+James Wilson
I'm talking about terminology. Nowhere in the film are "Lycans" distinguished from "Werewolves." All the bipedal wolves are called "Lycans." Even so, there are significant anatomical differences between Lucian's people and William's original breed.
They are 2 separate bloodlines Lucian is Aye lycan and the rest are true full blod werewolves
@@PredatorAlienate yes they are. Literally in the first few scenes they say Lucian isn't a true werewolf like the ones with longer muzzles and have lost their humanity completely. A Lycan is your human that can transform at will.
The direct- to- DVD masterpiece 'Trick 'r Treat' has an awesome werewolf scene.
Some of my favorite werewolves ever: Underworld werewolves. The only issue I ever had with them was when they did the wall crawling thing. Never seemed to look right...
with the last few seconds of this scene I was like *GASP* 8D PUPPY!! 83 has such a cute face when not showing all his scary teeth
I can translate what Lucien was saying when he transformed.
"Hey, back off and go home. I'm in charge. Go back to the cave and I'll drop by later to talk some business. Right now, I need some time to plan. See this chick sitting next to me? I'm hittin' that."
the look of these werewolves and transfomation is so much cooler than the ones in the new moon movie. this is what it should look like
I love how they designed the werewolves in this one. Not Lycan's but the werewolves. As in the ones in the trees. You may not can see them well, but they look like what I expect a werewolf to look like...
its an really awsome tf!
but the weird thing about it is that he isnt wearing any clothes when he is transformed while in the beginning of the movie they mentioned that these werewolves could wear armour (what i believe is the same as clothes)
But its an really awsome move and awsome werewolves :)
Thanx for uploading it!
the most badass transformation ever
That is a great transformation!!!
Is Lucian an Alpha??
Mina Bloodlust Any wolf that takes control can become one. So yes, he is indeed.
Mina Bloodlust he is the first ever lycan so yeah he is the true alpha
Alpha Roméo!
I fully agree with you!! and the music is just perfect!
Totally badass transformation. I love it, but I wish Lucian's snout had been a bit longer. It would have been perfect then! :) And it's kinda funny how Raze had that "Oh, fuck!" look as he transformed, lol.
that was amazing! Can't wait to see the wolves in new moon there transformation is just exploding out of their human skin with gore flying everywhere!
How is 480p high quality?
awesome transformation
It is so cute the way Lucian as a werewolf looks at her in the end, with such tenderness even though he is this scary beast. And JaxLynnstarAnimate, yeah, Twilight got totally OWNED!!! Now THAT is a werewolf!!
hahah, all the other werewolves saw him and we're like "Fuck that!!"
werewolfsi love them!
some are loyal
Keep clicking 0:45 and it's a freaking Scaryvile! I looooove werewolves!!!!!!!
Especially gotta love the part where Ricci is talking shit about the Weregirl, "She's got a boney ass, fat thighs, and bad skin" and the were comes out roaring LIAR and shoots the bird XDDD
the 1st generation werewolves are awesome! They actually act like wolves they even have packs formed! Werewolves Rule!
Good boy! Here's a biscuit!! ^_^
cool, I still have got to see Underworld II and III, they look so awesome
I love the roar he does!
Cheers Bro! Long live to Lycans ^^
Epic
The boss has spoken.
After some strange dream ends at about 3:00 a.m., I end up acting out this scene.
I'm pretty sure I'm awake, but I'm asleep.
This happens to me once a week or so.
@Emaginationfilms i saw it. exellent work! so are you trying to make your way into the film industry or is filming more of a hobby?
here's how it goes. Before Lucian, there were NO LYCANS. Only werewolves that were descendents of William (the very first werewolf). The fact that Lucian was born "human" was pure luck genetically (kinda like being born with an extra finger). Lucian was used by the vampires to turn humans into lycans. On the vampire side, marcus was the first true vampire. then he infected viktor, and later amelia and they became the 3 elders.
Why does Lucian(in lycan form) look different from the ones that were attacking them?
Josh Gavile because he is lycan, all those other ones are first generation werewolves. Lucian is unique because he is the first of his kind, the first generation werewolves cannot turn back to humans and cannot control themselves. That is what differenates Lycans and Werewolves in underworld. Hope that helps.
Lycans look better than true werewolves. They look scarier. That's just me.
Cause Lycans and werewolves in underworld are 2 sort of different variety of species. Werewolves can’t turn back into their human forms and are more savage whereas Lycans can turn back into humans and have full control of themselves. Werewolves heads are more wolf shaped whilst Lycan heads are a hybrid mix of wolf/human, so sort of ape like head.
@@mijanhoque1740
Now all we need is Dire Werewolves.
If William didn't attack Michael which most werewolves do they would have been another series of Underworld. Its still challenging to know who will win a fight between Lucian and William
this movie is good i got the DVD i pre oredered :) my fave out of the underworld trilogy ur video is awesome lucian pwns 5/5
i wonder how painful a lycan transformation is as it only lasts 10 seconds
After watching this movie, it really set in how lame they did Lucian later on, I mean he was badass to the core, yet in the future he didn't seem like a speed bump.
thanks. couldn't have said it better myself.
the big bad wolf has come out
Anthony Morris Jr. that is bigby by the wolf among us
i watched the movie 2 days ago, lucian mom and dad were both werewolfs and couldn't change back to human form, lucian was born as a lycan. so you're right :)
I know, but Michael's supposed to be this all powerful and unbeatable mutation, when Lucian and other lycans, are hybrids too--some direct descendants of Corvinus.
yes you might have a point. With Lucian able to almost fully control himself in wolf form he could somehow assert an Alpha Dominance if you will. these wolves (if you saw the movie) were just acting out on the instinct to hunt and feed. they had no social order like REAL wolves do. that's another possibility
@Inzomnia263 it´s from 1981 but the effects still hold up to this day. the transformation scene in that one is inredibly awesome
That is in epic roar, I love it!
@Peanutbutter585 Totally agree. For me its an old favourite, An American werewolf in London has the best transformation in it. You can see the pain in his eyes and expressions on his face as his bones and body alter and change.
i'm with you!
love the werewolves asin the ones they refur to as lycans the mix between human and beast is just right the transformations are quick but ya can still tell their in pain really awesome
Being a bad doggy, a real bad doggy, and that means, pee on my neighbor's front door
if they actually had the brains to apply something like this to twilight then the twilight movies would've kicked ass. personally i think they should've used the same CGI werewolf design from van helsing and applied it to twilight. that would've been kick ass
@ChayDawg64 I agree. While I thought that The Howling transformation was a bit too long (why didn't she run away while he was busy?), most transformations aren't long enough (New Moon butchered werewolves, especially the transformations). Although it's pretty heavy on the CGI, I have to say the The Wolfman (2010) had my favorite transformation. It didn't take too long, and while it was a bit on the short side, it looked seriously painful. Too bad the actual monster wasn't as cool. :(
Now, where are you Jacob? Watch and learn sonny. This is a werewolf . Now look into a mirror, that is not a werewolf, but an oversized wolf with teen angst.
I know...But still, in my mind, it would've been perfect is his snout had been a bit longer. My idea of a werewolf/lycan is more like the first generation in appearance, but later generations in reasoning, if that makes any sense.
The original progenitor of the Lycan breed is unknown, a theory I formulated is that Lucian's mother was already pregnant with him (most likely in the final stages of pregnancy) and so, he wasn't as affected by the virus.
Anyways, if they were hybrids then Underworld would not revolve on Lucian trying to get a person that has the blood to allow both infection cells to co-exist (he was planning on becoming a hybrid himself to finally kill Viktor) so that reason alone rules them out as hybrids.
the best werewolf transformations is when they put time into it
like when see the aggonising pain of there bones being altered and there body mutating
these kind of werewolves are way better then ones from other movies
lol - when you read some of the comments... not so much here, but elsewhere about werewolves... a werewolf is a man who can turn into a wolf ... not a man who can turn into a half-man/half-wolf monster. Hollywood has a lot to answer for.
here's a fun fact for all you fellow Lycan/werewolf lovers...did u know that Van Helsing was a "LOW BUDGET" movie that was basically deemed for and epic failure and look how kick ass it was the fucking CGI was AMAZING!! i'd say they made the sickest werewolf with the little money they had. hugh jackman by far the best werewolf EVER played!
the werewolf from van helsing is by far the best werewolf design ever. to me at least.
he's the second strongest. Eve is actually the strongest of all because She is a Hybrid of all three types of Immortal strains (marcus, william, and alexander), making her the final and most potent product of the Corvinus Strain to date. Marcus bit viktor, who bit selene. William bit Lucian's mother, who bit michael. and michael was a direct decendent of alexander corvinus and gained another strand from lucian's bite
I think the look of their wolves would've been A LOT better if they looked like the wolves of Van Helsing... This transformation+Van Helsing wolf look=Badass epicness FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not trying to spark a debate of which werewolf is better but ever since the first Underworld I have to say they did a good job with the overall look of the Lycans (actually foregoing having an elongated snout with something more hybrid-like). Van Helsing, for me, is just yet another unimaginative werewolf creation going with the classic look. I'm tired of always seeing the same werewolf costumes that simply have the head of a wolf stuck on a body.
the pure breeds looked SO badass. the human/werewolves looked a little more like gargoyles or something. still a kick ass movie. like twilight for GUYS lol
????? There some King Kong roars there
I think in the fourth one they should have Lucian come back, I mean if Victor can survive a sword to the head while other vampires died from throat cuts, then Lucian being the first Werewolf or Lycan who can return to human form should survive some liquid silver.
thats one fierce ass roar!
i love in this movie how the 1st and 2nd gen work together to destroy the vampires
That's what you call respect!!!
That's interesting. So, who was the lycans' original progenitor? They also have a completely different look, which is why I bought the hybrid hypothesis. Seems like Lucian has to be one of the first since all of the werewolves get scared off when they see him.
I totally agree with TheBrasilian09
the van helsing design is by far the best CG atempt, but I also think that the DogSoldier's design was really cool to.. (puppet and animatic wise)
this movie kicks ass!
For those who would like to fully understand allow me to explain: William, Marcus' brother, was the 1st werewolf ever to exists. those bitten by William turned into werewolves BUT they could not revert back to their human forms OR retain any humanity because William's werwolf virus was pure. William is the ORIGINAL wolf. Lucian is a special case. he was born human to a werewolf mother. he was able to control his wolf powers thus creating the Lycans: werewolf & human & his virus created Lycans
Fucking awesome, I love this flick!
They need to make a Movie every year
I never understand why all the werewolfs look like Williams (Underworld II) and Lucian is the only one who looks like the starting werewolfs :S
Lycans are a form of half breeds, as Lucian had a werewolf mother but was born human, so he has a different anatomy than pure blood werewolfs, who are the ones that William created or where created by another first generation werewolf as Paladin said. Since they are pure bloods, they keep more lupine forms as opposed to Lycans who keep a more human form .
@TheBrasilian09 Well A CGI version was going to cost around 80,000-140,000 to make so we went with a physical effect still pricey but we rented a werewolf that someone had already made. He did a great job for what we had to offer him! Lee Romaire is a great guy. You should check it out it is on my page, " Caregiver"
The werewolf looks awesome at 0:16 but not so amazing at 0:23 XD
yes it IS possible that Lucian's mother was pregnant when she turned or it's possible that William's werewolf virus Diluted enough over time to allow lucian to be born as a human. All in all its strictly genetics...Virus' can either become more and more infectious as it evolves or it can dilute and weaken and have different effects all together. =) but you're absolutely right...there are alot of unanswered questions
Sounds like he's saying, "THAT"S MY SISTER! LEAVE HER ALONE! GO AWAY! NOW!! Yea."
Makes sense. Is there a particular reason for why the other werewolves fear him? Is there a backstory?
shit i would too lol. i probably would've shitted myself right at that moment lmao
That was high quality back in 2009 I guess.
well he was born as a human baby. he was born human with the ability to transform into a werewolf and retain human intellect and reason. which obviously separated him from the pure breeds, those with only Primal animal instinct. but yes he was the 1st Lycan. =)
Other Guy:You spin me--
Man:*transforms*
Other guy:What the fuck?AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
powerful people, powerful
Most badass werewolf ever
@art4thecure1 Wow, you're right :) It's probably one of the best I've seen :)
@Emaginationfilms and how did it work for u?
@123SethE Isn't that supposed to be a hybrid, like Michael?
He was the first of his kind (A.K.A) the first Lycan, he was born human even when his mother was a werewolf and he could phase back and forth between human and wolf unlike William's breed which staid werewolf until they died.
@darthyegor How are you typing here with that straight jacket on?
My pleasure! lol I'm a DIE HARD Underworld fan. so i know my facts. and btw....there's rumor of an underworld 5...i know im excited.
I agree with mdude009, that scene is unsurpassable!!
