- NOTE: These are videos of model roller coasters that are built as a hobby. They are not for sale. There are no instructional videos. This model was built using .030 thick Styrene plastic for the track, aluminum tubing for the track support spine and wooden dowels for the structure. Train bodies were hand made with styrene plastic. The wheels are modified HO scale wheels.
The Run-A-Way Mine Train at Six Flags Over Texas is shown here as it appeared in the 1970's to the mid 1980's. Three noticeable differences are a black track (instead of today's red), orange, yellow and black trains and a now removed waterfall tunnel after the second lift.

Everyone else: wow that coaster is so detailed
Me: he did an incredible job ballasting the train tracks in the background
LOL. I'm glad someone noticed!
Awesome.. that is so cool...
Incredible job! The detail is amazing.
This is probably your best model yet.
Just looks like the real life ride Runaway Mine Train at SFOT!
youre telling me it used to have a waterfall!? My favorite classic at SFOT just got even better, but sadder at the same time since the feature is gone..
wonderful recreation!
Yes, you can see it here in the POV: czcams.com/video/OCQ9tcwqcjw/video.html
when will you make the part 6 of your series ''how to build a model coaster'', I'm really wating for this part.
Did it ALWAYS have 3 chain lifts? I've ridden it many times, but it's been so long ago that I don't remember.
Yep. SInce it opened in 1966.
I wish I could buy one off you
Nice job I've been subbed for a long time !! Can I ask what your intro song is called? Thanks
Thanks for being a long-term subber! It's called "New Vistas". It is actually published by SmartSound, which was included with Roxio Creator, my video editing program.

It sounds surprisingly catchy despite feeling a little like elevator music. And nevermind my previous question, a quick search confirmed it.
www.modelcoasters.com what is the music sound track in the background? NOT THE INTRO MUSIC!!
Kman Meteor "Rodeo Roundup" by SmartSound, which comes with my Roxio video editor, but you can get the song from the SmartSound website (at a fairly steep price...)

Can you do the iron rattler at six flags fiesta Texas
You should do The Titan! At six flags over texas
That's a possibility. Not anytime soon, but still a possibility.
can you make mr freeze? if it's even possible?
Not impossible, but VERY difficult. I probably won't do that one.
what song is this playing
It's called "Rodeo Roundup". It is actually published by SmartSound, which was included with Roxio Creator, my video editing program. I no longer use Roxio though.
