  • NOTE: These are videos of model roller coasters that are built as a hobby. They are not for sale. There are no instructional videos. This model was built using .030 thick Styrene plastic for the track, aluminum tubing for the track support spine and wood dowels for the structure. Cars are 3D printed and the wheels are HO scale train trucks that are modified.
    Mokan model roller coaster:
This model and its components were built in two different states. The Structure, track and train were built in Missouri (MO) and assembled after I moved back to Kansas (KAN). Hence the name. It is my first model with 6 inversions.

These things are amazing!!! Looks like single rail type tracks. I am very interested in learning how to build it or the building techniques behind it. Would love to know or see videos on the construction of these.

i was looking back through all these amazing coaster models and thought that with this being the most inversions on a model, theres 1 element that iv noticed has never been included and that is the heartline roll... this coaster is the intamin 10 looper just with out the rolls... is there a reason just the basic roll hasnt been modelled, would be awsum to see a 10 looper made using this technique.

Go check out my Poison Ivy model. It has a heartline roll, though I wasn't able to shape it exactly like an Intamin heartline roll.

looks good but is it a bit too high?

Because gravity and friction do not scale down the first drop has to be that high for the train to make it around the course. So, yes, but it's necessary. :)

Fred knows where I am. And I've been making my models like this for over 30 years, so I'm the original, LOL!
