- A 24" x 56" HOn 30 Narrow Gauge Coal Mine Railroad.
The whole Layout is constructed of 1" thick extruded foam

light in weight
In Model Railroader Magazine. go to Photo Galleries, type in
The Anthracite Miner, to see other Modelsl
An awesome example of maximum use of a small layout, over varying levels, and a loop as well. Top marks in planning.
It's great how you pack so much reasonable distance into such a compact space. Creating a mining scenario makes so much sense.
Awesome. There is a comprehensible story to this layout and it keeps you guessing. Bravo
Thanks for the comment. The original track plan is 3 feet x 6 feet
It had a second loop on the up grade, which I had to remove because of limited space where I store this layout. Sorry for the delay getting back to you
I will be 85 years old this January 2020, a little slow with the computer!
I could watch this for hours....very clever layout
Un véritable chef d'oeuvre de modélisme ferroviaire
Chapeau bas a la personne qui a conçut ce réseau

It makes zero sense;:Do they not like model railroading? They don't like the gauge? Mines? These "thumbs downers" must just watch random videos and dislike them just to be pissy.

this layout is awesome!
looking for HOn30 ideas, some great inspiration on the up-down loops. thnx great work!
No turnouts, no signals, no fuzz. This is how a small figure 8 model railroad becomes logical.🚂👍🚃😀🚃👏🚃
I liked this a lot. Thanks for sharing!

This is an incredible micro layout! Did you do the planning for it and if so do you have a drawing of it?
Awesome layout simple and well thought out for a small space. Did you make the rocks or store bought ones, either way awesome layout
Thanks for the Comment, The original track plan is 3 feet x 6 feet, It had a second loop on
the up grade. which I had to remove because of limited space where I store this layout
awesome
👍👍👍
That's great work!
How did you manage to build the longest tunnel. What if train stuck inside it.
What type of engine is that? I need to build one for my (slightly larger) SM32 railway! I need a large diesel with more hauling power!
Museum quality 👌
i would love to see a HOn 30 mallet loco running on this layout
I'll bet it's great for Trackside Photos

What brand is track, locomotive and wagons?
Sorry for the delay getting back to you
I will be 85 years old this January 2020, a little slow with the computer!

Locomotive--- an old N-scale Life Like SW switcher which I scratch built cab to fit over the frame
Mine Cars-- By ROCO HOe #34499--EURO Train Hobby Inc. Short Hills, N.J.
use this number for the mine cars 34605
I had to modified the cars to look like the ones used in the Anthracite coal region
How did you manage to get the track to make the train go back around?

What happens if one of the cars derails in a tunnel?
Thanks for the comment, the photo does not show the outside of the model,
it is about 12 inches high, and has cut outs on the side were the tunnels are
HoN30 runs on N gauge track if I remember hearing correctly?
Yes, PECO has the track, and turnouts to
In my country this is H0e (Hungary, Europe)
Are you the Everett Seymour who had a very detailed model of Walther's Allied Rail Rebuilders in MR mag back in 1993? Ifso I am seeking permission to use that image in a forum discussion on a Steel Mill scene I am designing for my own new layout., Brian, railandsail
Thank you for your comment about my model of the Allied Rail Rebuilders Building. If you are a scriber to Model Railroader Mag. go to photo galleries
aand type in The ANTHRACITE Miner, then look for the photos of the insides
of this building, and yes, you have my permission to use the photos

I\'m not sure but ,if anyone else needs to find out about model railroad layout try Panlarko Amazing Railroad Planner (should be on google have a look ) ? Ive heard some great things about it and my brother in law got excellent results with it.
Scenery looks great! No switching or making up trains just a contiuous run! Boring!
Nice work and creative design !
