- I had the great pleasure of hopping on a Zoom call with cartoon icon, Billy West. We discuss his childhood, love of sound, careers in music, radio, and acting, as well as all of the wacky quirks of the voiceover world.

Excellent interview! Billy West shared stories, fun memories, and some nail on the head life advice for everyone. Thanks, Boone, for presenting this!
Boone ... finally got an hour to watch this ... and it was awesome! Mr. West looks great for being in his 70's (from the "early years" tales he was spinning, I was guessing it would have been his 80's, but Googling him shows he's just a few years older than I am). Some of the things he mentioned were stuff you should pay attention to (not like you /weren't/ going to) ... like the bit about Art Carney - you could delve into some of the voices that the classics were based on and they'd sound "new" today though your pipes.
Also, when he was talking about "celebrities" it reminded me of the film "Lost In Translation" (which I assume you've seen, and, if not, put it on your list) where Bill Murray plays an aging actor who's in Japan shooting ads for some whisky (and has repeated encounters with a very young Scarlett Johansson). Very cool movie about the outer edges of the industry.
As a thank-you gift for his coming on "Toon with Boone", you should send him a phone stand!
P.S.: Are you practicing any specific asanas for slimming down your shoulders on cam? Most of the trans gals I know on YT have major dysphoria around their shoulder width/bulk and I was noticing in this vid that yours are quite delicate, with a very feminine slope from your neck. If you have a secret for that you should share it!

No secret around the shoulders, but thank you for asking!! I do have dysphoria in that department sometimes, so it's very nice to hear they don't look too broad.
