No need for the pause at the end to read. Just let the video play, I'm sure we can make our own choice if we want to pause.
Agreed its becoming a bit preachy imho
Longer video, more adverts. If only the user had a way to pause the video..
Didn't even notice! I don't understand why that is such a big issue.
yes so annoying i stopped watching after 2 mins
Glad someone said it, the pauses were stupidly long on this one. Guess we'll have to start tagging the video with sponsor block to skip them if this is the level its going to get to. Already have to do it for that bloody awful pile of crap being advertised as a dashcam at the end.
2:28 One of the most dangerous and indecisive bits of driving I've seen for a while by all concerned.
Right! 100% on the driver in the right lane. He's the one wanting to change lanes so it is up to him to adjust his speed to merge safely. First car in the center lane probably never saw the indicator, so cammer, seeing the problem developing should have backed off to allow the right-lane driver to easily move one lane over without too much disruption to the flow of traffic. But no, they both have to make the absolute worst decisions and bring two lanes of the motorway to a standstill.
Actions of the cammer were even worse. I am assuming he was after a new car, sitting there for no reason, clearly hoping someone would drive into the back of him. What a muppet!
Yes, first thing I noticed is the cammer was too close to the car in front. The overtaking car takes the majority of the blame for their total lack of awareness (at 70mph in the overtaking lane of am motorway!). And the car in front was also not aware of this developing and chose to do entirely the wrong thing. All three drivers need to be more alert at the wheel and the cammer needs to increase their distance so that they have more time to react.
whilst calling for and supporting shit driving from the vehicle in front.... terrible on every count! cammer, merge in turn and the "none shall pass" cretin
cammer could have moved in to lane 2 around 2:25 to avoid the conflict (another car moved from lane 2 to lane 1). Probably hyper focused on the car in lane 4 though, which is somewhat understandable.
*edit - car didn't move over, i think it's the distortion of the lens - gap in lane 2 was still big enough though.
2:57 I would've backed way off, way sooner.
Had I not done that, I would've nailed it when the other car stopped and left the mook to his own problems.
100%👍. Just because that idiot wants to stop, doesn’t mean that I am also going to stop and get rear ended!
I can never understand drivers overtaking on a roundabout. Eveyone can be in the wrong lane accidentally. Stay back and stay safe. Don't make it worse because you want to prove someone wrong.
Nothing illegal about overtaking on a roundabout
@@TheCaptain7190You're quite right, except too many people have been watching F1, and view roundabouts as an opportunity to nick a bit of superiority in the traffic. Mix that with those of a Michael Schumacher instinct to STOP them...
8 would have been prevented if the prat coming opposite direction wasn't going so fast...caused the water to go higher.
And it would definitely have been prevented if all the fools in this video, cammer included, hadn’t tried driving through such deep water🤷♂️
#8 caused by shit management of water run off and flood management by local council. How can you tell that the oncoming vehicle wasn't caught out by the flood just as much as the cammer and the car in front???
Exactly. The problem wasn't the height of the water, it was the height of the bow wave caused by Lewis Hamilton coming the other way.

This - saying "pull over and work it out" is utterly self entitled.
Just hold back and let them work it out!!
If a tree falls on a car, you would find it very difficult to prove negligence on part of the tree owner. But if the tree owner had already received complaints about a potentially dangerous tree and chose to do nothing about it, then there could be some negligence.
At 6 minutes it doesn't help some pratt coming the other way causing a huge wave to flood your car, a selfish driver obviously 😮
maybe, just maybe they were caught out by the flash flood also
Got to love hemels magic roundabout 😅
and the cretins that speed into blind spot of cars in front. priceless. it is a shite design though
9:59 semi's? I think you mean HGV!
RE #12: who's responsible? I work in Insurance, specifically Public Liability. Liability would lie with the owner of the tree (landowner) if the claimant (owner of the damaged car) could prove (or the landowner admitted) that the trees were not maintained (etc regular, reasonable inspections and removal of possible hazards such as diseased trees). If the land owner is not considered to have been negligent in their duties of maintaining the trees and removing hazards, then the car owner may be able to make a no fault claim (the dashcam footage would help prove they were not at fault). If there were storm conditions on the date of incident then the land owner would likely be found to not be at fault, as the tree has fallen because of bad weather, not negligence on the part of the landowner.
Insurance companies always put it down to an act of god, dont have to pay out then!!!
9:50; I kept thinking the cam car was going to be crashed; took ever so long to even think about passing the lorry!!!
Anyone else notice that the standard of driving has declined at the same rate as the standard of parenting, and society in general?
We've become America.
America has wider roads mostly!
It's the age of technology. It's damaged everything in its path.
@@hamshackletonWider people too
@@hamshackletonIt doesn't seem to help them stay in their lane.
I don’t believe the standard of driving has changed. What has changed is that everybody has a camera on them now (some in their phones, some in their vehicles) and whatever happens gets put on the internet, so people are more aware of it.
#9 - They harboured that grudge a long while!
10:30 I had an accident where someone passed me in the right-hand lane and immediately turned left. Stupid people are among us, and there's lots of them.
Me the same, on a roundabout - and the lying toerag said he was already on the roundabout - insurance went 50:50 - just so happened we were both with the same insurer! Hmm.
That's a collision, not an accident
#9 I don't agree with the road rage afterwards but the camera car was in the wrong lane. the sign post on the right says middle lane goes to A38 and A5 so middle lane goes into the 2nd and 3rd lanes on the roundabout. The road markings have now be changed so that middle lane is "A38(N) A5(E)".
Agreed, if following the road sign and the later road markings, the cammer should have taken the rightmost lane onto the roundabout, and emerged on the rightmost lane onto the A5(E). But, the road markings on the approach to the roundabout disagree with the sign, and it would easy to think that a single A5(E) lane split into two on the roundabout, in which case taking the line they did would have been correct. The lanes sign itself is confusing and awkwardly placed after the big roundabout sign. So overall perhaps they deserve some slack here, but the other car managed to hold that grudge for an impressive distance!
#2 :- notice how the motorist who caused the incident didn't hang around........ 😮
#2 was caused by the guy in the ditch
@@johnn17golf don't be stupid
@@patrickmorrow3311 driving too fast in a car that was not well maintained - driver made very minor direction adjustment and car went out of control - need to drive within limits of the car (including maintenance) and the conditions. Yes, volvo pulled out a little but little blue car would have been out of sight behind cammer 2 seconds before as it was travelling much faster than the cammer.
#9 the cam car is at fault - the lanes suggest joining lane 2 is for a38n and a5, which is only accessible via lane 2&3 on the roundabout. Joining lane 3 is for a5 and a38 w, and so should merge to lane 4 on the roundabout. It is a confusing one but the camera car decides to overtake into the space the car ahead was heading to, poor driving and hopefully clear on reflection.
1:10 I think that car was looking for Arthur Weasley’s Ford Anglia in the woods
#6 @ 4:10 I assume the comment "Don't endanger other road users because you're not sure how to use a roundabout" was directed at the Rich W who went across the second mini roundabout
#9 at 6:48 cammer should be in the right hand of the two M42 lanes so they did cut the other car up at that point but for the other driver to make such a song and dance over it at the next junction was OTT. Signage has been improved since the clip was taken.
Pausing the video so we can read the essay on screen is a step backwards!
#2 …yes it’s raining but the fault lies with the car that changed lanes without using its mirrors. Other things contributed to a crash but the fault sits squarely with the car changing lanes without looking
Agree. You indicating doesn't give you the right to move, even if there was space to move from lane 2 to 3, dont presume the will, it's not encumbent on them to move
the Volvo never changed lanes until the blue car had passed, the speeding blue car lost control after panic braking when they saw the indicator on a wet road at excessive speed and probably on rubbish/worn tyres.
poor VW driver will pay more money for better tyres in the future I suspect. Not what I might call a waterlogged road surface
@@georgebarnes8163 Watch it again, the Volvo moved to the right and crossed into the blue cars lane just as he was passing. You should have gone to SpecSavers !

# 10 I saw that coming a long way off....
Yeah deffo no pause needed, thx for trying it though
Clip 9. Idiot driver is so bad that they don't even realise they are in the wrong then seeks to get revenge. Couldn't make it up. They could have just left it as was a non incident, but entitlement is too strong.
Credit to the Cammer for remaining calm, not rising to the bait and continuing to drive safely whilst the entitled road rager tries to cause an incident.
there's nowt so queer as folk
@@stephenedwards5548 The obvious joke: What's worse than a woman driver? Two women drivers...
cammer is wrong, look at the road signs again, at the start of the sequence both cars are heading for A5e and are correctly positioned. Cammer cut off other car shortly after. #shitdriver
Camera car was in the wrong but it doesn't justify the road rage. If you look at the sign on the right, it says middle and right lane for the A5. the next sign on the roundabout says 3rd and 4th lanes are for the a5 so camera car should have gone into the 4th lane. The A5 is missing from the road markings tho but looking at google maps its now be added.
1:59 #3 the Kia couldn’t have stopped with the Audi behind them?
The lights only changed to red & amber when the Kia is around the corner
Yeah, I looked at the traffic light ahead of the cyclist - it changed after the Kia came round the corner, so possibly he went through on amber. Either way, typical Audi driver🤷♂️
9:01 Don't waste your breath, just go to the police station with the footage and get them prosecuted for Dangerous Driving.
Look at number 5 again… you’ve got that wrong!!
Makes you wonder how they got their licence hey!!!
I read the words and wondered if they had watched a different clip.
#7 I would have backed right off if I was in the Cammer's position. They did absolutely nothing to help the situation or maintain the flow. Car in front is obviously lost: the cammer themselves said it was a confusing junction, and immediately afterwards says there's no excuse... which one is it?!
No.5 , the lorry driver caused the collision when he changed lanes, not the car drivers fault as you claim.
The car in the left land was in the trucker's blind spot.
@@hamshackleton that is the truckers problem
No .. The car driver wasn't driving to the conditions.. You don't sit at the side of a truck doing 56 mph .. you get past it sharpish .. Car driver not paying attention .. @@georgebarnes8163
That's what he said, it's the lorry driver's fault. But that doesn't help the car driver, who still has all the hassle. Hassle they could have avoided if they had been more decisive and passed the lorry faster. It's not about being right or wrong, it's about avoiding accidents and the related hassle.
www.youtube.com/@georgebarnes8163 they can carve it on your gravestone, "I had right but still ended up in a mangled mess"
Having just retired from truck driving ,I’m amazed that people in cars that are capable of over 100 mph ,sit at the side of trucks that are limited to 56 mph
I call it truck bothering. If you drive slower that a truck and are not a truck then get off the fucking motorway
@@tourettispaghetti3739 it used to annoy me especially if the matrix weren’t lit up with speed advisory limits , a lot of car drivers jam their brakes on when it shows-50/60 mph ,they can’t differentiate between amber advisory red mandatory
I have to take exception with your diagnosis of that lorry crash . Despite having four mirrors on the nearside , there is still a blindspot on 90 percent of heavy trucks in that area , large enough to hide a large estate car .
And i'll warn you right here and now , if the truck has cameras the blind spot is bigger
#4, the driver in to outside lane is a complete pillock. Having tried a chancer's move on the car in front of the cammer (and failed in his bid), he was given a chance he didn't deserve by the cammer. I'd have done the same as the cammer up to that point...
Matey then seems to spurn the opportunity, and leaves the cammer in a VERY vulnerable spot; I would have got going again much sooner, and if matey had shot forward and whacked my car, there would have been quite enough evidence to pin the blame on him. God bless dashcams...
The music at 3:50 I would like at my funeral..
@ 3:00 asking the question what would you do ? well if the traffic in lane one is going faster than lanes 2 & 3 i would be in lane 1 simple
#9, I'd have been laughing, and chanting:
Little things
Please little minds,
Like little trousers
Fit little behinds...
His efforts to restore his perceived superiority were puerile, to say the least.
If a tree falls on your car the person who planted the seed is responsible!!! 😂
The pauses are pretty annoying.
#8 To be fair to the driver of the car that cut out, they were doing fine until the idiot coming the other way ploughed through at speed, creating a bow wave that swamped everyone ahead of them coming the other way. It was unfair to comment negatively on their driving or apparent lack of knowledge
Am I the only person thinking the cyclist sounds like Jay blades off the TV the repair shop?😂
4:45 So true, I see it every commute where people just don't leave space and it backs up not just the highway but intersection after intersection.
There is miles of empty road behind them, but they choose to all bunch up and drive slowly and more dangerously.
1:14 is a prime example not to see-saw on the steering wheel... at that point you're creating a harmonic wave until the frequency of car movement gets more and more pronounced to the point of loosing control...
2:22 the driver early on realised there was a problem, but did not change lanes (it was clear to do so at that time). Good observation but pathetic lack of action.
3:00 cammer should never stop to let the other car go. U put yourself & others in a massive danger there. Once that car stopped you go. So lucky there
on clip 2. why was the person in lane one indicating to move to lane 2? there was nothing in front of them and no reason to move to lane 2.
#9 controversial I am sure, but cammer 100% wrong here. look at the signage at 6:40 both cammer and the pregnant lass (the cammer cut up) are heading for A5 East! At 6:46 the cammer could easily have used the right lane for a5 east and allowed the other car to proceed around the roundabout on the inside lane but chose to cut her off at 6:49. Look at the road markings at 6:50!
Cammer 100% wrong, road rage was not justified but I would have been mighty pissed off with cammers lack of road skills.
9:50; in reality because of the inconspicuous moments cars have for lorry drivers, I would have come around behind the lorry; the green car and pushed ahead then instead of waiting for the lorry to slowly creep past you. I know it is a what if and should have but the big boys aren’t really looking out for the little bloke and I certainly take no chances.
No need for the chapter and verse after each clip, next you'll be putting big red rings around the perpetrators...
#9 so the cammer car drove all that way,and had a road rage incident,JUST to get a McDonald’s.How sad is that.🤷♀️🤣🤣🤣
I got rear-ended performing an emergency brake on a motorway after the car in front of me also braked hard. As a result, watching people stop on a dual carriageway or motorway gives me major anxiety. Please, never ever stop in fast moving traffic. It is incredibly dangerous for everyone involved, all you need is one person not paying attention. It's better to let someone in and be frustrated than to put your life and other people's lives in danger.
Magic roundabouts are scary when other drivers dont use them proper choosing to go over them rather than around.
Important to know where and how high your intakes are before going in water.
3:52 - it was nice to hear some Eric Satie for a change to the noisy background music !
#4 - Cammer was painted into a corner by the complete idiot overtaking at the cones, nothing else he could have done apart from miraculously seeing the fool earlier and by assuming that he was driving blind folded and would need more time.

9:50 lorries have blind spots even with concave mirrors. Don't hang around in blind spots.
The driver of the green Corsa seems to have forgotten where his accelerator pedal is. What a doughnut!
if you have a blind spot it is your problem...noone else's. it is 100% on you to make sure it is clear before changing lanes.
lorries blind spots are the lorry drivers problem not their victims.
There's a reason why more and more wagons have "Angles Mort" stickers in lots of places around the cab and trailer. They're in the blind spots. It's to remind drivers of little vehicles that staying next to one is a very, very bad idea. And while it might be the wagon driver's responsibility to monitor the drive spots, it is an impossibility to monitor all of them simultaneously; although maybe we wagon drivers have ESP. ;)
@@raymondpenn1066 I would suggest you place the warning stickers in your cab to remind you not to make illegal and dangerous lane changes and to pay attention to other road users before throwing your weight around, your so called blind spots are your problem and if your vehicle is not suitable for the roads due to the many defects that you mentioned you should not have it on the roads.
Yeah I been in a similar situation in a flooded road,, I just waited till it was a bit clearer and my partner just drove in the middle more so the oncoming traffic couldn't do dumb stuff like potentially kill your car by creating a bow wave on your vehicle...which could flood your engine.
Your own insurance pays out for tree damage.
It's the natural disaster clause.
If a healthy tre falls over in wind and damages your car or own property across a property line, its your insurance that picks up the bill not the tree's landowner.
I found this out when trees came down near us a few years ago.
The only case when a landover is liable for damage caused by a tree from their property would be after someone reporting to the council that they have a dangerous tree on their land and they have failed to get it felled or cutback.
It then falls over and causes damage to a third party.
That is the only kind of loss that is recoverable in this case.
9:22 Corsa driver showing what not to do when passing a lorry, sit in it's blind spot. Also, what's with the no excuses comment shown at the end of that clip? Come on, such a ridiculous thing to say! How does the person who put the comment in know what kind of mirror the lorry has, unbelievable!
6:40 - I know you probably shouldn't have to, but I would have gone straight into the right-most lane to preempt some clueless moron like the driver of VU04 KVM doing just this...
#2 I think the blue car was innocent, unlike the caption. The driver indicating right started indicating at around 1:04 and could have pulled out then, but instead pulled out at around 1:09 and into the middle lane at 1:11 when the blue car was almost alongside it, forcing that driver to take evasive action. If the black car had moved over sooner then the blue car could have changed lanes more smoothly and would probably not have lost control. I'm not even sure why the black car was changing lane - perhaps needing 5s to evaluate a move meant that they felt they were almost on the rear bumper of the lorry far ahead of them?
If a tree falls on your car, it's called 'An act of God' an un-insurable event !
9# the other driver was bad but situations like this can be easily prevented by staying behind until you have exited the junction.
the other driver was in the correct lane on the first roundabout. the cam car should have been in lane 4 after entering the roundabout not lane 3. dont agree with what happened later but the cam car was initially wrong.
@@michaelh7741 Not according to road markings. The other car entered from lane 2 (A38 N) so should have stayed in lane 1 or 2 after. The cammer entered from lane 3 (A5 E/A38 S), and had a choice of lane 3 or 4 on the roundabout. Nevertheless that overtake was very stupid thing to do. It's funny how two cars on a completely empty road still almost crashed into each other 🙂
Totally this. It all started at 6:45 when cammer cut into other cars lane. Don't agree with how played out but cammer should be aware....its not like there is tones of space at this time of night anyway
I want to know how the second one happened.
That has to be a poorly maintained car.
Not necessarily. While it's possible that the blue car had bad tyres it could also simply have been a combination of too high speed, wet surface and bad steering. I'm too lazy to count road markings and seconds now, but noticing that apart from the blue car nobody was passing the cammer and that the cammer wasn't losing much ground/catching up to the cars in front I wouldn't be surprised if the blue car was speeding.
Please lose the pauses during the video it’s very irritatIng
6:35 cammer is in the wrong here. Look at the sign on the right. Lane 3 includes A38(S) but when they emerge onto the roundabout they take the lane which doesn't include the A38(S). They should have stayed in the outside lane then moved back a lane after overtaking the slower moving vehicle.
4.53 Cammer was so close to the driver in front that they couldn't see what was coming! Back off a bit!
Since you ask, #4: with a closed lane 3 ahead I'd be looking to move to lane 1 before the merge point. Failing that, approaching the merge with traffic slowing, I certainly wouldn't be closing the gap with the vehicle in front, but rather slowing to grow it, precisely eo that traffic needing to merge from the right has plenty of space to do so.
To be fair, that is what this driver (and the driver in front) seem to do imo. But the merging driver seems too scared to do the merging. In this situation I would try to drive on, I don't want to be a sitting duck.
3:40; I would have thought from the video that the truck driver made the wrong move, but still, it is all down to perspective

Yeah i was thinking the cyclist has a red on the LHS and showed no intention of showing approaching it. When they did stop looked like they were ahead of the ASL.
clip notes say: the lights go green. Just after he stopped, with his front wheel on the most advanced line of the ASL (maybe 1 cm over it). The light is red when he approaches and comes to a stop.
You need to put a claim in against Earth for that tree.
Or against the Church. Because the tree falling was an act of God. And the Church is God's earthly representative.
#9 6:44 is where it starts to go wrong. The car is slow but looks unclear where they are going to go so it might have been an idea to slow down and let them dither out of your way but instead you almost drove into them at 6:46 when they entered your lane, assumedly because they never checked their mirrors. You seemed oblivious to the near miss and neither of you sounded your horn. Then later on you both have an argument about who is in the wrong, well mostly the other car but your driving wasn't perfect either, at least in my opinion.
#8, I think the problem was caused by the bow-wave of the oncoming vehicle, forcing water in. It's why I always look to have a clear run through before entering a flooded stretch; but the are always those determined to be self-centred arseholes...

@@georgebarnes8163 no sorry your wrong there, you can see at 1.11 the blue moving into lane three just as the volvo moves into lane two without a mirror check?, and what was the volvo overtaking ?/moving into lane two for?
very ture
#2 your text is blaming the blue car. Totally not their fault at all. The car in lane 1 was indicating yes, that does not give them the right to just pull out in front of an overtaking car. They clearly had plenty of time to pull out into lane 2 as it would be a while before they had to overtake the vehicle in front of them. There may have been a car in lane 3 preventing the blue car moving into lane 3, or they may have decided the indicating car didn't need to change lanes yet, or simply didn't want to switch lanes for the indicating car.
Either way, the car should not have pulled out as they did while the blue car was overtaking.
The blue car had to do move quickly to avoid the collision and that caused the fishtailing and the consequent spinning.
Indicating car entirely at fault for that one.
Please stop pausing,it’s very annoying and quite insulting!
It actually tells you your wading depth in your manual it’s a lot less than you think
Even in older land Rovers it is not much more that the centre line of your front axle. Road cars it is significantly less. I am not so sure that I would have ventured into that flood in those circumstances
The problem is, people don't read the manuals these days, they just gather dust in the glovebox.
If a tree falls on your car its the fault of the guy with the chainsaw!
I paused the video 0 times but the video paused about 20 times, annoying
