A long time after you released this videos but I just finished chain of Gold and need something for my fangirl heart before starting Chain of Iron. So great your analysis and all the theories for the next book, thank you for all the videos and the dedication you put into them!!!✨ I hope you can make the same kind of videos before Chain of Thorns is released💕
I really love your chog videoes. Long theories below regarding chain of iron:
1) I have this theory regarding lucie's powers. I think since Tessa's shapeshifting abilities is to turn into any person and James can turn into a shadow. Lucie’s shapeshifting abilities would be turning into a ghost form. Idk i want their powers to be connected somehow.
2) Christopher is gonna help Lucie and Grace with resurrecting Jesse, which is how him and Grace are gonna grow closer. Idk if they will necessarily tell him the real reason. The 10 extra short stories that Cassie wrote before COG, all had hints and importance foreshadowing the trilogy, with Lucie it was her ability to control ghosts and Cordelia was her Dad's alcoholism. With Christopher's, Jesse's death was mentioned and how he could have prevented it by using science."
3) In 1903 a permanent portal, unregulated by the clave, that leads only to the Cornwall Institute was secretly built in the london institute - I think Grace, Lucie and Christopher(being an extraordinary scientist) created it with Lucie's power or by the help of a warlock(most likely Malcolm fade since he grew up there with Annabel).
4) But why would Malcolm help them if he doesn't know about Annabel's being buried yet?. Well I think since Tatiana is in the Adament citadel(iron sister residence) and she knows a lot about the blackthorn family secrets would tell him. Or I just firmly believe that Malcolm is gonna find out about her in this book-especially now that Cassie is making art and answering questions about him, which would entail his importance in this book.
This is mostly theories about the necromancy storyline because I’m the biggest Jesse and Lucie shopper and want Jesse to be resurrected.

I’ve always wondered about that portal since Lord of Shadows so I’m 99% sure it’s gonna come around in Chain of Iron since it’s set in 1903... I also really love your thoughts on Christopher’s role in Jesse’s resurrection, I’ll admit I didn’t read his short story so I’ll have to go back and read it and then find out more!! Thank you!

I have absolutely loved listening to your analysis and I now want to re - read Chain of Gold to see if I've missed, or forgotten any, which I probably have. One of the things that I adore about Cassie's writing is how she is built her world throughout the books, and the constant references which you have pointed out. I know that some people think that there is some small discontinuity errors, and maybe there is. I personally don't think so as I get the suspicion that Cassie has had the entire thing planned from the start and she has been luck enough to have been able to stick to whatever plan she has thought up. I think that without a doubt once the trilogy is released in its entirety and we are aware of what has happened we will pick up even more references. It is now thankfully not too long until Chain of Thorns is released and I can not wait, will you be doing an analysis video for that book once you have read it? I hope so as I would love to see it from you. Please keep up the good work, your channel is what is keeping my sane throughout this lockdown.
This is the loveliest comment, thank you so much!😭 I agree with you about how Cassie must have planned it all in advance, and that she would have left enough time between books to change anything that needed changing. I can’t wait in a few years time when every single book she wants to write has been published, to see the collection in its entirety. Yes! I plan on doing analysis videos for Chain of Iron but they might take a while to come out as I need to read the book a few times to make sure I don’t miss anything!
I just found out that according to the family tree Thomas Lightwood dies in 1915 at the age of 30? I feel like maybe there is going to be a time jump in the series and I’m also scared for Thomas casue that’s only 12 years after chain of Gold
I think I spoke about this in my family tree discussion video but it’s utterly heartbreaking if it’s true 💔💔

Woooooo I love this videos and I'm sure I'll binge watch them before I read Chain of Iron! I'm currently re-reading Chain of Gold and I can wait for march, I think COG overall is such a wholesome book, and I know that COI will have a lot of awful things happening for these characters, like cassie said "In the second book is when things usually get worse" so let's get ready!
Oh I’m definitely going to reread Chain of Gold again for a third time before Chain of Iron! And yes I’m so scared for all the last hours characters in the next book, but especially the lightwoods!! I feel like Cassie has a thing about harming the Lightwoods... 🙃
