And the line about something mythical could also show how Jem refers to Will as I think it’s a burning star? Which relates to him being something glorious and mythical and bright.
And also (there’s more 😂) when it says “wait for the signal, I’ll see you after dark” could be a reference to when Jem turns into a silent brother and when it mentions they have secret signals for unity in fighting as the “signal” and “after dark” as his transformation :)

Weirdly.... I associated Troye Sivan's Quiet and Bite with TID accidentally when I played them while reading them for the first time. The Lyrics , I associated with the Tessa and Will's feelings and thoughts....Also the instrumentals had these eerie vibes to them that fits the mysterious and creepy aspect of TID.
