An Economist Plays Victoria 3: Democracy Without Violence

I always say, "More money, less revolution", so what happens when there's less money? Can I steer Mexico through an economic depression without having a revolution from the left or a coup from the right? Will the young republic persevere? And will my relations with the USA hold up to prevent war?

Real nice to see the state of Mexico right now. Stabilized relations with the US, land reform, and even a central bank! Consider maybe using the trade states interaction with the US to try to normalize that border a little, though, it’s awfully ugly.

The problem is that the trades would be heavily favored towards the USA. Better to endure the bad borders than a bad deal.
