The mod scene is stable enough for me to put out a video on my currently active mods. I touch on each one, why I include it, and hope that you benefit from my curated list. I'm always open for suggestions on ones to try out, especially ones in languages other than English that I may have missed due to a language barrier.
My mod list is in my Discord server on the #victoria3 channel. If it was easier to do a Steam collection, I would have done one. :-) - Hry
Ask and ye shall receive, thanks to Expedient Falcon! steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3283589239 Oregon Trail Fixed!
Spent 2 hours trying to get my modlist to work with the new patch. I want to commit sudoku.
Did you have mods that still need updates?
@@An_Economist_Plays I looked for the little yellow warning mark, tried to disable them all - that fixed a few of the issues mainly the crashes, but for whatever reason one of my mods causes a crash when clicking on the new power bloc system, and I have no idea which one.
@@VeXGamingLSRP I actually had that happen in vanilla a few times, your game might get that fixed in the next patch.
@@An_Economist_Plays Thank you!
Thank you for updating the list, it is a help!
My pleasure! I think things are settled around the update and it's a good time to make a modlist that ought to hold out for a while.
@@An_Economist_Plays but terrain is is still a factor in battle I presume?
Oh yes. The mod in question is graphics-only.
It seems the "Improved southern Europe traits" mod is no longer necessary, as the vanilla game implemented the changes from the mod with 1.7
Good to know! I can rotate it out of the lineup.
A really good list. I will try most of them out! I like the vanilla+ experience which this list seems to be geared towards.
Indeed. I like many small, quality of life mods.
Let me lead is not about stopping small battalions from leading battles, it's to allow your ruler to take over relevant IG if monarchy or similar.
Wish it worked like you said it did though 😆😆😆
That's right! I can forget at times what my own mods are doing, when they work in the background like that. Thank you for correcting my mistake!
Personally O like it more when colonization on the map is more about drawing lines. The idea that it's rugged and not build up is better represented by the infrastructure and buildings.
I would love to see a mechanic for staking claims, then colonizing where the claims are. I envision the mechanic would also have a means of resolving conflicting claims through payoffs or intimidation, or where they can lead to war, but give everyone an 11th hour option to back down before the guns fire.
Thanks for doing this man
My pleasure!
Best guy thank you
My pleasure!
Do you know of a mod like GDP Plotline + but for the other graphs? IE: Pop SoL, Loyalists/Radicals, Population, etc?
It's always bugged me the graphs start from 0 so relatively major changes are harder to see
I do not know of such, but have great desire for any that do that thing.
Would LOVE a big ledger with graphs showing that info.
You should try Morgenröte, adds so much!
I would like to, but it looks like it would have conflicts with many of my other mods.
@@An_Economist_Plays Yeah, probably, but for itself it is a lot of fun! For me it filled out the gaps that I felt like vic was missing, without going to far away from the core gameplay
Did you play Victoria Tweaks Mod? Your opinion on this, would you add to your list after the update? Thank you.
I have not used that one, as it seems to be a bit too overarching, even though it's light fixes for the most part. It requires a number of patches to work and I'd rather try smaller-scoped mods that I can turn off temporarily while awaiting a fix after an update than have one big one that puts my whole game on pause while it gets updated.
Hello , have you ever try Greece, Byzantium, & the Balkans Flavor?
a mode that add some good stuff for the balkan is not global mode but that it add quite some stuff for the balkan
I am interested, I will have a look at that one. Thank you for the suggestion!
@@An_Economist_Plays You are welcome
Gracias!!
De nada. :-)
i cannot find these mods
I have the full list on my Discord server in the Victoria3 channel. Link to my Discord is in my profile.
14:30 Reduced GPU usage means inefficiencies, I don’t see how a decrease in GPU usage in the new patch is good?
No reduced GPU usage means it runs more effectively
Reduced GPU is bad if it means more CPU use. But *both* are reduced, so that's good - more efficiency with both and my fans run more quietly! :-)
For me industry realism + political and economic changes make the game a bit unplayable on minor nations
You need to build additional finance sector buildings, which increase a probability of crisis, but you do not have a lot of resources for this etc.
On the other hand, the 19th century was one of increased economic turmoil for smaller nations, one reason many sought debt relief from larger ones.
do mods disable Chievos? reeeeee
They do not. I am glad for that.
Does the load order matter ?
For the PEC, Realistic Industry - compatch comes after those two, and I load towards the end. Great Revision I load also either last or almost last.
