** ABOUT US **
We are an English family, Alex Molly and Sandra living the Portugal farm life.
This year will be our seventh year here so we have a lot to share.
We thought it would be a great idea to start a CZcams channel so we can share our daily lives with you.
* Bringing you every aspect of our daily farm lives, including Molly and Alex cooking amazing meals in our old wood fired Portuguese bread oven and sharing our recipes with you, plus everything involved in running a working goat farm.
Follow us as we renovate the building around our old bread oven and other buildings on the farm with natural materials, re-building and planting the vegetable patch after the fire destroyed it all.
Building the goats new sheds, our days with the goats, births and milking them.
Molly making soaps and many types of cheeses from our own goats milk.
Watch what we grow, getting water back on the farm, daily farm life and chores, visiting local sites and showing you the local area.
Plus lots more......... and the milking goats!
"Quinta" stands for 'farm' in Portuguese. "Fonte da Pipa" means "Source of the Barrel"

😂Molly thought so too 😂

Thanks Eva!
You guys are amazing, you living beautiful place. Portugal is amazing place to lived. You're inspiration is beyond horizen.
Wow, thank you! 🙂
Molly is always beautiful 😊👋🏻
Thank you that is very kind of you .
Loved the intro with the epic Portuguese guitar by Carlos Paredes - verdes anos, god how I miss meals over a fire, especially those early winter breakfasts when my grandmom used to brew the coffee and make toasts with freshly baked oven bread over the hot coals.. those were my green years (verdes anos) how I miss them.
I thought you must be Portuguese........... Verdes Anos is one of my favourite Portuguese records and then it is 'Fado'.
We lost out on monetisation of this video because i used it, i have permission but they will get the income from it, wasn't as important to me as using this amazing piece of music.
Well if you ever pass this way i am sure we can get our forno going to take you back a few years.
Can not but love life here.
Ate logo, Abraco
love that cooking/oven area...food looks spot on, well done....👍👍👍
Thanks Andy
Now I'm hungry !
Sorry about that 🙂👍
Beautiful
Wow beautiful views 😍
Excellent video! I love your oven. It has wonderful character!
Thank you so much!
Fantastic video. Very informative. I have a wood fired oven and am desperate to learn how to cook on it. There are very few videos outside professionals who tend to have state of the art ovens. Please more recipes I need to learn off you guys. Trying pulled pork today after seeing this video. Keep them coming guys.
Glad it was helpful! now the fire ban is over we will do some more cooking videos when we get ahead on the farm projects🙂. Everything we cook in that oven always tastes amazing, there's something special about cooking with wood.
hope the pulled pork was a winner👍
@@FontedaPipaPortugueseFarmLife Thanks for the kind comments. The pulled pork was a great hit with ourselves and our guests. The pork was in the wood fired oven for eight hours. The tricky part I found was to keep the oven at about180 deg. for such a long time, but well worth the wait. Can’t wait for your next video using the wood fired oven. Kind regards, Martyn
Bela música (Carlos Paredes)! e belo forno a lenha!
Yum, pork roast and veg in the oven. Thanks for the vid, Alex and Molly.
Thanks Michael 🙂
Ohhhh , water in my mouth , Portuguese roast , hummmm , and red wine , nothing better , well done . Brings me back memories , just missed the bread on the owen as well , just like my grandparents and my mom used to make , 'pao alentejano' . You say youre not Portuguese , but you pretty close . You guys stay safe and well
This was promised if we hit 50 subscribers but we have shot passed that very quickly, we will be doing more food videos soon. and molly will make some bread too.

@@thesquatterman5939 It hasn't been easy, been a lot of struggles to still be here. Will be doing a video about the problems we have had very soon.
Can you not take your boy camping, sleeping out and dinner on the camp fire is a great thing to do.
Loved the video and seeing you guys enjoying the food you cooked with so much love. Many thanks
Muito obrigado Louis 🙂
Alex, Molly juicy video. I am intrigued with the inside of the Forno, is the roof made of layers of roof tile arching inwards which is I assume covered in lime mortar and stone on top?
Hi Richard, yes you are right about the tiles, the old curved 'Roman style' tiles, but no lime they just used 'baro' which is the red dirt which you see in the joints on the outside of the oven. above the tiles i think they also just piled up more of this 'baro' and capped with stones.
We hope to show more when we get round to restoring it and will make some videos about it.
Thanks for watching.
My mouth is watering........ Yum yum.
Thanks Sean, Molly's veg were awesome!
@@FontedaPipaPortugueseFarmLife It looks absolutely AWESOME. I'll go home from work and have some left-over Christmas Turkey........ :)
@ZimSean Still !?!......... How big was the turkey 🙂
@@FontedaPipaPortugueseFarmLife it was 11 kgs.
@@Sean-hf5mn Thants not a turkey, thats an ostrich 😂
Have fun and enjoy the journey. You are creating a good new life for you and your family. What an encouragement to me. Bless you, your family and your farm. May it brings you abundance of harvest in the coming years!
Awesome delicious meal .yum
Thanks 101 !
It's midnight ,i never eat at this time but that made me hungry, have a great weekend
I am just returning the favor after watching your food videos! 😂.............. off to pick up our milk chiller today. Have a great weekend too! 👌
@@FontedaPipaPortugueseFarmLife awesome 😁 enjoy your new chiller
Oh my Lord! Now I have to go to the shops later to buy a pork roast! Looks amazing!
Thanks Cindy, Lets hope it isnt too long before you return, at least we can keep busy while in this new lockdown here again 🙄. stay safe out there!
@@FontedaPipaPortugueseFarmLife I'm just hoping the peak will have passed by the end of February!
@@CindyVine we would hope so but i doubt it, we are on major lockdown again here, wear masks while driving or no mask in your vehicle 1000 euro fine............ i see this staying for most of this year........... :-(
@Delia DeRoos haha I love it!
Can you use the bread oven all year round? Or is there restrictions because of fire risk, love your work guys ✌🤩
Exactly as you said, the date the fire bans get set are different year to year depending on how dry it has been.
We were meant to cook this for hitting 50 Subscribers but then the ban came in 😆
Glad you liked it! 👍
What a taste dinner...Pork Scratchings..What part of the West Midlands are you from?
Love scratchings. Love your outdoors kitchen
Got to love crispy crackling 🙂
West Midlands???? i was born and bred in West Sussex😂🙂
The bread oven was used everyday in the old times, workers worked from sun up until down for a loaf of bread bake in it.
@@FontedaPipaPortugueseFarmLife I lived for many years in Walsall and thought scratchings came from the Midlands...good food travel.
Like the salted Cod brought to us on the sailing ships.
Ackee and Salt Fish is our national dish . I cannot bake and surely miss crusty English bread . Jamaican bread is heavy ,sweet and soft crusted.
co n bons produtos tudo e melhor obrigado linda familia
muito obrigado arthur
I could almost tasted the pork😋. Thanks for the video😊
Thank you Claudia, and for becoming a Patreon🙏 .
Wishing you all the very best. 🙂
I hope that your channel will grow fast with more patreons to come. I hope this will be a good year for your family❤
@@claudiastolk-bulla8298 We hope so too. We might look like we have money with a big farm but the last 4 years have been extremely hard.
After having all our money stolen was bad enough but the builder and local mayor left our house without external doors or windows, we had to pay again with the last of our money to get them fitted, 6 years on and we still don't have floors or even doors inside.
Your support is very gratefully received and we can not thank you enough!! 🙏
Because of your support i was able to buy a lead from the internet, this will allow me to get the videos from when we came here and then i will do a video about our time here and the many problems we have faced.
God bless you ❤🙂
@@claudiastolk-bulla8298 P.S the next girl goat born gets named after you!
So sweet! Thank you so much🙏🥰❤
Mouth watering indeed.
Bom apetite!
Obrigado Carlos 🙂
Hi is there only two of you ? As you’ve mentioned a third person but we haven’t seen them xx
There are 3 of us but mum is not very well so does not want to be in the videos. 🙂
@@FontedaPipaPortugueseFarmLife so sorry to hear I hope she improves v soon I’m in remission of cancer and bed bound so watching you guys lifts my day ❤️
@kergan1812 Very sorry to hear that, wishing you all the best in your recovery🙏
Sandra has Lyme's disease and she was lucky to survive as all her internal organs and brain swelled up 30%, It has left her with late stage rheumatoid arthritis and has 14 pills a day to take for the rest of her life, two days a week are chemotherapy tablets and i am sure you know how horrible chemo is 🙁
Very happy we help a little ❤️
@@FontedaPipaPortugueseFarmLife is that from a tick bite ? Nasty little things
@@FontedaPipaPortugueseFarmLife yes Chemotherapy can be very taxing and certainly very unpleasant to say the least… may luck be with you all x
That should be "first mention of his name in a non religious source THAT STILL SURVIVED" the longer it has been the less chance there is of writing to be found. Paper or papyrus does not survive for 3000 years in Moses case
I hate you both
I love cracking enjoy you deserve it
😂 I did say Sorry 😂............. Thanks BMW!
