@Forbidden Knowledge How do you incorporate both iPadPro and a Windows convertible in your work flow? And what exactly is your workflow. I am an academic and also own an iPadPro but i dont know how to justify buying this when I already have the iPad pro.
Man, that is one gorgeous machine! If I was into Windows I would be all over this. It makes zero sense for a retired, homebody, media consumer like me to throw that kind of cash at "pretty" though. Nice review and if I suddenly got a bump up in my bank account, you might have convinced me to at least look at this.
Yeah, I don't know why they even do 16:9. You buy a small computer only to have the screen scrunched down even smaller. And don't get me started on 'wide screen' movies. 🙄
Interested to know the response time of the FHD panel is. The 4K has horrible smearing and I've seen much better FHD screens on HP spectre 2018 models without the ghosting I saw in the 4k XPS. The UK doesnt have high spec FHD models, how's it been for you?
I got mine last week and it is everything it's cracked up to be. I've completely switched to using it as my main workstation, with the Dell TB16 dock and three monitors. The only thing I hate about it is the Dell content aware brightness control - It brightens and dims the screen too much and it is extremely annoying.
Wanted to find a review on the new Inspiron 13 of 14 2 in 1s but can’t any. The only major difference between Inspiron and XPS lineup is mainly the build quality am I correct?
Dell should really add g4 or g7 graphics to the i5 model like the surface laptop 3 13.5 or the lenovo c940 or just add a 10w mx250 and add like 1 or 2 mm cause I don't care about the thickness unless it's over 1.5cm

But I'd definitely like to take handwritten notes (digitally) which is why I was leaning towards a Surface Pro. Plus i don't have an endless supply of cash

The xps lineup is meant to be the premium lineup in terms of build quality similar to stuff like Razer laptops that’s why it’s quite expensive. Also Louie lambretta u can’t blame amd for not making competetive cpus they just 3 gens into the mobile cpu market and their r7s are nearly as good as an i7 8th gen
Surface pro x is all for work. And smaller. Don’t know if size matters to you. But this can do light gaming Netflix. Even stream videos. Pro 7 is more like this but not as fast as it is older
I have the previous 2 in 1 model, and I would argue that there are some trade-offs between the new and the old. The new one is clearly faster, offers better battery life and has a better webcam position. The old one is lighter, and I think that the hinges look better on it, not worse. Also, some people would prefer the taller display and others the shorter. If you don't need the extra power and you don't use the webcam much, I would still recommend it to buyers if you can get it for a discount price.
The keyboard on this laptop is a joke. I wish they'd bring back the same keyboard they used on the XPS 2013 and 2014 models, only then I'll buy a new XPS.
Not sure if this video is a review. This video sounds like a sponsored marketing/sales pitch. I can't believe Dell put a 720p webcam on what is supposed to be a premium laptop. This is 2019 not 2009.
so do Macbooks. But Dell includes up to a 5 year support warranty. But this does mean that you need to commit to your purchase and get at least the 8gb i5
yeah but its a turn from their non 2-1 xps line where there is no soldering, and I am concerned this is a coming trend - just like how companies followed apple to remove the headphone jack.
Its not as powerful as dedicated gpu but the difference between new iris plus and the old Uhd 620 is huge. And i don't know why dell didn't put a dedicated gpu to the normal XPS 13 when they put the comet lake in it.

that 4k display uses 4 times the amount of power as a 1080p display because it has 4 times the amount of pixels id say it sounds pretty accurate
