11:33 They can actually break turtle shells into pieces. The croc just wasn't able to get him in the right position to put that jaw power to use.. luck was on the turtle's side.
only when the mouth is fully opened, they have next to no jaw strength when the mouth is partially or fully closed which is why people are able to hold their mouths closed with their hands, when their jaws are fully opened their muscles work like a spring exponentially multiplying their bite force.
@@King_Flippy_Nips You can hold their jaws closed because they have no open force, but a lot of closing force. Their jaws incredibly powerful when closing, enough to crush a turtle's shell, but if they have much of any force keeping them from opening their jaw, they can't do it. Having their jaw all the way open isn't a factor.
Gator, not croc. Crocs are just so damn ugly.
It looked injured, limping away.
Alligator not a crocodile.
That was a backhoe loader. It combines the mass moving capabilities of a front-end loader with the digging capabilities of a small excavator with some compromises to both functions and the benefit of only having to buy, operate and move one machine.
I suppose it "could" push cement, if you really needed to push cement for some reason?
I love listening to experts talk about their field
What you have to do is start your own CZcams channel call the construction worker react to construction scenes in movies. Like like Ben Affleck in goodwill hunting
In my country we just call that a JCB, digger arm on the back, scooper on the front.
Sure, but jcb is a brand. It's the same as calling every hot tub a jacuzzi
I feel like the SUV wasn't trying to save the person. The SUV saw the big ass loader swerve into his lane and tried to swerve into the free left lane to avoid it when it swerved back the other way into him.
14:30 That pilot is extraordinarily skilled. Like, aircraft carrier pilot level skill. Just before he touched down he did a maneuver called "side slipping" where your turn 45 degrees to one side using your rudders while keeping your wings pointed against the turn. It's done for the sole purpose of burning off all your speed without losing your altitude and it's something that carrier pilots and pesticide pilots have to practice because of the need for short runways. You see ex airforce pilots pull that kind of crazy ish and save planefuls of people all the time. That's why when he finally touched down he was pointed away from the direction of travel and he had to steer into the skid. It was the best possible landing in the situation.
@Boss Like that's what a side slip does. It acts like an air brake to loose lots of speed without losing altitude. The important thing is to keep the nose up into the wind and keep the elevated wing in the baffle behind the fuselage. It's a skill and not a mistake. You see crazy pilots doing this in the Canary Islands because of the insane shearing winds that cut across their runways all the time.
@@StfuFFS Bullshit btw. Sideslips or any slipping movement used when landing is used to descent faster when your altitude is not right or its a very windy day. Side slipping is used when there is a big cross wind so the cross wind doesn't affect your landing path as much. ( So the wind doesnt push you off the track of the landing path )
You could agrue all about your "45 degrees" before the turn where you actually land but he stays straight till he touches the ground meaning if he was side slipping he didn't even make the last turn.
Above all this, he is flying an ultra light model.
From the inside I can't tell what it's minimum speed is but I would guess around 100-120km/h. This for aircrafts is very low ( hence the Ultra light motoraircraft name, ULM in short ) and does not require a different style of landing because when landing the vehicle the normal way you'd still go the 100-120km/h. The only difference in a crash landing is that you will be pointing the nose further down, descending faster since you NEED that minimum speed to not literally crash down. So you would never want to use techniques to lose EVEN MORE altitude like slipping in these scenarios.
I don't know if this is the case on bigger aircraft for some specialized reason since they are way faster and heavier but this is definently the case for ultra light aircraft.
although most video's of emergency landings that's i've seen use side slipping is for EXTREME wind when landing.
I wondered why the plane did not land straight
Actually, that was a sailplane and sideslipping is normal when there's a crosswind.
@@andrulV2 ok "akchully"... if that was a sail plane, aka a GLIDER which don't have engines, then how did the FUEL RAIL fail? Without an engine and without fuel, how TF would you CLEARLY hear the engine humming and then suddenly cut out? as someone who worked at a mcdonalds once upon a time, that was not a perfect ice cream cone. the biggest flaw was the lack of ice cream in the cone itself that stabilizes the rest of the ice cream so it wont fall like it did. you need to put the cone right up to the nozzle and fill the cone first and then top it.

Seeing those fish jump and struggle to get in that pipe, all I could think was I hope there's no pipe like that on the electrified river.

8:25 Crosswalks tend to have censors that can detect if anybody is actually crossing, if nobody is crossing then the crosswalks deactivate to not impede traffic. On these crosswalks the light turns yellow to let you know not to start, but if you started whilst it was green even at a slow speed it wouldn't have reset.
9:36 Flash grenades can in-fact kill you if they go off right next to you. They're officially deemed to be "less lethal" not "non-lethal" for a reason. Not only that they can cause permanent loss to both sight and hearing so they're not as a 'safe' as people tend to think they are. So no it's not okay to do that with a flash grenade.
there's a story of some cops doing a no knock raid, blindly throwing a flash grenade in a toddlers play pen. they left the kid with severe injuries.
I was going to correct that to "sensors", but, you know...you'd get "censored" by that light if it kicked over and you got pancaked :)

4:30 Jeannie "Why do you keep going?"
Take note that you can see the break lights are on, yet they are not stopping. I'm going to guess that they have air brakes that either were not properly maintained or the driver was pumping or pressing down on the break too much. This would cause the air pressure to drop over time and lose pressure to the break pads.
If you dont have air pressure the brakes will be fully locked
@@karnagexxp3824 That is absolutely true on newer air brake systems in "The West". But I have seen an older truck in the US that had brakes that worked like many older trains, where air pressure was needed to enable the brakes, as opposed to the much better system where the air pressure is needed to disengage the brakes.
The new/better method fails safe, where the older method failed unsafe.
-
Also, if the truck in the clip had overheated his brakes already, or the brake material was work to metal, or any number of other maintenance failures, they would not work.
@@karnagexxp3824 A truck driver in my area, maybe 15 years ago, lost air pressure for his brakes. His truck rolled backwards down a hill and ran over a man on a motorcycle who came to a stop right behind him. The driver of the truck was a local in my area and I don't know if he ever got back behind the wheel after that. From what his relatives said, he probably had to see a therapist over the guilt.

The thing that automatically draws using a marker, is called a "plotter"; it used to be a standard piece of equipment for draftsmen (back when it was normal for desktop computers to have dot matrix printers). I have no idea if they're still widely used.

Sometimes on semi-tractor type trucks when the frame breaks it pulls the throttle linkcage wide open. That seams like the most likely explanation for crazy bumper truck.
Maybe, but this happened to me once. I over corrected multiple times and nearly flipped my subaru. When I forced myself to calm down, and stop over correcting, it came under control and stopped fishtailing. He probably panicked, and kept trying to get it back. It's called a "Tractor loader backhoe" technically... the common name for them is "backhoe"
The reason they're called backhoes is because the implement on the back of the machine can trench/dig up dirt.
Also the vid got very interesting after that time... those fish were hella determined.

I've seen this one before, but upon further examination, I think I realized the problem.
Goober didn't put any in the cone itself, just on top of it.
As someone who does it for a living, great reactions, great decision, and great execution on the people in the emergency landing. When it happens low like that, if you're not dead, you did it right. The day after you posted this video an extremely respected and skilled pilot was killed when his racing plane lost power shortly after takeoff.
Like the patreon trailer at the end. Can you also promote your store? Maybe have random items show up on the video like a small ad at the bottom that does not hide anything but just shows the item and then the store url next to it. It works for LTT, and they do big ads.

4:06 I'm pretty sure that was recorded in the Netherlands. Possession of marijuana for personal use has been legal there since 1976.
Well, not legal technically speaking. But you won't be prosecuted for 5 grams or less. And yeah the car says "Koninklijke Marechaussee" on the side so I'm pretty sure you're right that it's in the Netherlands
@@rwiersema Well it is absolutely legal to be in possession of marijuana for personal use technically speaking. The only thing that is "technically legal" is the selling of marijuana by "coffeeshops" because although they can sell it, they can not grow it on the scale required to provide for their customers nor may they purchase marijuana from third parties so the law sort of turns a blind eye for that (also known as "gedoogbeleid") because how they get their marijuana to sell is in fact illegal (technically speaking).
These cops were Dutch marechaussee, military police/border control, a branch of the military. These guys may have been drug runner suspects, people that buy legal drugs in the Netherlands and race it to nearby countries.
And in many places it's legal for Dutch residence but illegal for foreign tourists, but that's lift up to local laws. In the places where it's illegal for foreigners, in order to get into a "coffee shop" for marijuana, you must show proof of residency.

you can in fact eat all of that weed and not have any effects at all, because it hasnt be pre carboxylated (toasted) the THC in weed needs to reach a set temp to actually be processed by your body/brain, smokeing it brings it up to that temp, but also burns something like 90% of it which is a huge waste, eating weed thats been carboxylated its so much more efficient , the high is totally different (it does take longer to work tho, 30-45 mins usually) but then you stay high for hours , it's nice, i havnt smoked weed in years since i started making edibles
