Is there a record that 17,000+ was actually donated in that hour? It seems more likely that they took whatever donations they had plus petty cash on hand and it equaled 17,000 or so. Then to save face they claim that the crowd actually donated the 17,000, when the crowd actually donated much less, and they used their cash to cover. I don't buy the claim that the crowd donated 17k. If there are 350 people in the room that is almost 50 a piece, but not everyone will donate. I would guess they raised 3,000-7,000 in that hour.

Yes chat is very dumb and pretty right wing, keep in mind a lot of these people are from hoi4 communities. I hope that the mods timed out/banned them when this was happening because those shitters really should get out.
Keep in mind with the chat on screen, messages before the time out/ban go through so you might see some people who might have gotten banned afterwards.
