I came across those sites when I was 9 and got caught about a year later. It's a real problem, and trusting your child vs protecting them is as big of a problem too.
we need to break up big tech and view them as a digital public speaking forum that isn't owned or regulated
i think parents should check their children's activity on the internet, our parents didn't because they were unaware of all the dangers that someone may stumble upon on the internet but we do know about it, the internet is simply not safe for kids who are easily influenced
when I was in middle school there was this kid who showed me a video of this dude getting shot with a shotgun in the head and I had dreams that night about it and it really messed with me

i seen it. but its definitely wasn't that bad, compared to the other shit i seen during school. i went into the military and gore is pretty normalized in our training videos so its just kinda normal for me to see isis beheading videos now. crazy how i went from being in HS and thinking how the hell does anyone even want to see this, to sucks to be that guy
