The fact that she thinks making a garbage show like She-Hulk and then predicting we would all call it garbage is somehow clever is really emblematic of the absolute state of Marvel writing.
Libtoid entertainment and culture now entirely exists to rub everyone's face in it.
It's like punching someone in the face and being shocked when you get hit back.
It really is like when someone trips and says I meant to do that. Whatever that's called
Hey, it's like robbing a bank, getting caught, and saying in defense "Hey I know I will be caught one day !! Gotcha !!"
But she’s intelligent, don’t you know.
She-hulk writers were so smart they outsmarted themselves out of a second season. Genius stuff
Only reason you are not getting a like from me is that you got 69 of them. Nice.
Great comment keep those feminist man haters away from writing shows involving comics they know nothing about and have no love for.
lol
Well, there are some things so stupid only an academic would believe them…
Joseph Joestar level of outsmarting 🤣
I like how the actor for Carter came out and said she was mad and annoyed they would bring her back just to kill her off immediately in a dumb way.
I like how she didn't give a shit when her friends were being turned into popcorn by Wanda 🤣🤣 a mild inconvenience
Can we just pretend that phase 4 was just a dream that Thanos had as he was dying?
Infinity War was the end of the MCU. Everything else we saw after Thanos won is just glimpses of various alternate futures Dr. Strange saw with the time stone.
What they’ve done to Taskmaster is still one of the most sinful acts ever committed
Remember when Moonknight cut Taskmaster's face off? Now that would be a hate crime....
Is it though?
Never forget, Doctor Strange & the Desecration of Professor X.
@@MuhammadTahir-jf8pz The Fox X Men movies were hit and miss enough. I dread to think what did would do to the X Men with the MCU.
Taskmaster could have been such a cool character, damn. It would be a fan favorite for sure. If they done it right.
Amazing how we went from, "which MCU film is the best?" for the earlier phases to, "which of these are the most terrible?" now with Phase 4 and on.
Or make it even harder with “Which of them are the least bad?” That’ll really be hard for us to decide.😂
even the older films had an average success rate. there was only a handful that were legitimately good movies.
lol you are so right XD ... I really don't understand wtf happened here and wtf were they thinking ....
For me, the MCU ended with Infinity War, with a tie-up film in the form of Spiderman.
They've been pretty bad from the beginning
Can't help but feel Feige should take a decent chunk of the blame for this. After all he's the one that hires everyone, especially the ones who've never read a comic
Yea but he prob got the do it or we fire you and someone else will do it line from Disney. Maybe he tried to salvage as much as he could here.
What just baffled me about this entire mess that was Phase 4 was the writers and directors (to a one, NOT comic book fans) who seemed to actually TAKE PRIDE in blaming the fans for their failures. Incredible.
Gary you had me laughing out loud you said "A film we were told would save lives, and it did fewer people risked getting into their cars to go see it." Well done sir..🤣
I'm cracking up cuz hes so fluent in his insults. He slips them in there so smooth lmao.
Yeah that was funny as hell but what was really killing me was some of the songs from cowboy Bebop being played in the video at some of the funniest times lol 😂.
Yes, I picked up on that one as well and I had to stop the video and go quote it in the comments - it was that hilarious 😄
Not saying you're lazy Gary.. but lets face it, this could be a 10 part series.
An embarrassment of riches for terrible M-She-U movies for sure!
🤣 So True... I could watch a 10 part series and laugh my balls.
Lots of ad money being left on the table there!
Easy man we don’t what him to risk his mental health
Good one dude
I'm a casual comic book nerd. I will never forgive Disney for what they did to my childhood heroes
😢When they had all that great success with Marvel in the 2010s, there is no good reason to stop trying and completely change their tune in the 2020s, especially when they lost millions of dollars on The Eternals and Quantumania. I am seriously serious!
@@adamkalb1
Marvel started slowly, but surely become woke in late 2010s, but its felt now in even stronger affect. Captain Marvel was the worst MCU movie from 2010s with woke idea of strong female superhero with meaningless objective in the movie, when she can just crush everybody with her unlikeable personality. Thankfully endgame wasent that woke and didnt give her too much screentime, while they made her little bit too powerful. Good that MCU ended the endgame in 2019 also, because year after year they have just wanted to become more woke, so their movies could absolutely focking dogshite by now.
Same here and from what I've heard modern comic writers themselves have ruined the source material by turning all the heroes gay, beta cucks or into intersectional feminazis. I hope they don't touch the Punisher
Can't be too mad about Loki. He has always been Bi🤷
10:46 “A film we were told would save lives, and It did. Fewer people risked getting into their cars to go see it.” Had me rollin 💀
“Saved lives by having fewer people drive to the movies.” 😂 A masterful video.
! know, I nearly choked on my tea laughing at that one. That and the comedy cartoon bite sound as the kid, what's her name starts attacking people. Its the sound effects that are dubbed on to emphasise how stupid it has become. Utter perfection. Its comedy gold. It shows what most of the audience is thinking, compared to what the makers and producers and writers are thinking. Its a yawning gulf. Marvel thinks its being clever but the reality is as far from it as you can get. Its driving away the audience and burning out the goodwill. It will end up as badly damaged as Star Wars, where the name used to send a thrill down the spine, people will just groan and roll their eyes...
@@Simon-xc5oy It's already dead! From this phase bore, I saw Black Widow and Doctor Strange. I'm done with Marvel! Never again!
@@shpreenten DC from now on?
@@shpreenten Stan The Man is rolling over in his grave.😪
TRUTH -- The Writing HERE is GENIOUS. Thank You
You have just highlighted all the reasons why I haven't watched anything Marvel since Infinity War. Well done sir.
Same
End game was still worth watching, but agreed, avoid the rest and move on
@@DirtyRugova End Game was mediocre at best. Infinity War was pretty good, though. Makes it seem like two different directors were at work with those movies.
Watch End Game and the Spiderman movies (2nd and 3rd one) thats it.
Marvel has been awful since hulk 2008. Literally everything that came out after that is cancer to me. Maybe im just an old head and I don’t evel like hulk 2008 i think 03 was much better but at least 2008 was somewhat decent compared to today’s standard
I think in general, 2010 and onwards is when the woke trend REALLY took off. Movies have lost their touch , they don’t entertain you they preach to you. It’s as simple as it gets there’s no denying it
Hearing about the scientist lady in Black Widow INSTANTLY brought to mind comparisons to Doctor Halsey from the Halo franchise. Like that character, Halsey was a scientist who conducted insanely unethical experiments on countless kidnapped children, ruined their lives, and eventually got them killed. And yes, the main character pretty much forgives her for it. The difference is, the entire rest of the galaxy doesn’t - she’s considered the biggest war criminal on the human side and constantly goes back and forth between ranting about how her actions were necessary, and being utterly broken by what a monster she realizes she is. And while John does forgive her, it’s made very very clear that he’s not exactly in the best mental state to be doing so and can’t weigh the situation objectively.
Same basic setup, but man is one done better than the other.
The best video I ever see about the real destruction of a franchise and the toxic and destructive woke agenda from those crazy activists controlling Disney. Bravo nerdrotic and his production team!!
fam what are you talking about 😭
This was more entertaining than actually watching all of those ‘movies’.
The phase
five dive
is alive.
Natasha severing a nerve IN HER BRAIN by smashing her head into a desk is a good analogy for Disney Marvel.
Loki getting kicked in the groin, over and over, by female Loki, is one for fans.
…Firstly, she didn’t do that, she broke her own nose so she couldn’t inhale the pheromones.
Secondly, that’s not even what happened in Loki.
@@Dragonage2ftw Have you had a broken nose? It being broken doesn't stop air flow. Stuffing her nose with paper would have been more effective.
@@Dragonage2ftw She herself said that she severed her own nerve.
@@Dragonage2ftw And even though he wasn't kicked in the balls by Sylvie, he was still kicked in the balls by a warrior who shouldn't even be close to his power level.
@@ludwigvangaming1822 Also by writers, directors, and everyone else who is ruining this loved character in the name of "trans". All involved should be ashamed. All.
As a latina female.....this is 100% accurate. The formula was right before. A place where characters like gamora & blackwidow stood out, and where equals to their male counter parts..im so tired of disneys, and marvels agenda. I loved sci fi to tune out all the bs and escape..now we cant even do that.
Thank you very much for editing and making youre vids man. Love them❤
It's alarming that Jessica knew she hulk would suck 3 years ago
And did absolutely nothing to fix her mess
But I'm sure she couldn't even do that if she tried😂
Well duh, she "knew" exactly how the trolls will react, cuz we're predictable... and boring
It's not the show that sucks, it's the fans for having high expectations.
On a serious note, this is the exact reason why I don't watch anything super hero related anymore. And I was a big Marvel fan.
@@hultanu
I'm sorry that current circumstances have brought you to that point.
(And I'd be lying 🤥 if I told you that I'm not beginning to empathise.)
Gao called her haters "boring and predictable" skipping over the fact they were apparently important enough for her to make the effort to predict them in the first place.
"You're boring and predictable. So much so we're going to put millions of dollars, thousands of work hours (because they can't be man hours) and months from the lives of hundreds of people into a show that tells you this. So remember, you're still boring and predictable."
An almost 1-to-1 comparison would be if I pulled my pants down and shit in front of you and you said "Hey you just shit on the floor!"
And I say "Look how clever I am. I predicted you would call my shit shit before it happened!"
It's almost exactly the same, except the shit could actually be used as fertilizer to grow food; so it actually serves a purpose in existing.
_gao lion_ was projecting, more like it
Madam Gao also happens to be one of the leaders of The Hand. Evil is just part of who she is.
It's the little giggle they all do after making the bitchy comment that speaks volumes to me.
calling loki a failure is a massive stretch.
This is the first time I'm hearing someone say they hate it. same with shang chi. And Hawkeye.
I was really hoping that Sylvie would reveal herself to be the Enchantress who just pretended to be female Loki because she thought the only person Loki would fall for would be himself.
Way too clever. Using material from the lore to make something enticing?? Nahhhhh
You wanted something to make sense?
Damn you and your “hope”. This is MCU, where showrunners don’t even know how to read a comic (something my son was capable of at 6!), much less know any characters.
Holy shit, that would've actually been amazing!!! But yes, way too cleaver for current MCU.
That could work, just not with marvel disney
Congrats Disney, a decade of building the MCU and it only took you 2 years to break it.
Women xD
MCU ended in 2019 with the endgame. Thanos was defeated and so MCU got not other objective anymore. In 2020s MCU has decided to go woke and so I would not count this as real MCU. I dont understand why some of the old MCU actors return back, so they could be made mockery in their own movies, when they could just go take part in other movies, that have nothing to do with MCU. MCU ended in 2019 with endgame, so its not worth with these actors take part in any of the new bad woke MCU movies and serieses.
@@jout738no, it’s still going. Endgame was the end of the first saga, but not the end of the MCU in general. It’s literally too big to end now, so it’ll keep producing movies that, while good, will be box office fails because people are getting tired of superhero movies and negative propaganda will see people think the MCU is bad even though it’s not because it’s popular to hate on it
@@deadpooldan9862 you must be an avid fan for defending hot garbage such as m-she-u. Phase 4 is really bad, have you watched secret invasion?? Even if they introduce galactus for the next 5 years, mcu is doomed to fail because of poor quality and wokeness
@@heisenberg6197 considering you used wokeness as an example as to how it’s bad, I’m not convinced it’s bad. Woke means to be open minded, not whatever people seem to use it for. Phase 4 was actually good, with good movies and shows that lay the breadcrumbs for what’s to come. If you don’t agree, that’s ur opinion, but mine is it’s good
"We started writing She Hulk 3 years ago."
3 years for that? How embarrassing, though that irony is lost on her I imagine.
Best thing to come out of She-Hulk was Nerdrotic using the title theme from "No One Lives Forever" in the background of this roast-piece. LOVE that game!
In Loki there was a scene where he fought numerous guards with the boss-guard being a woman. I knew at that point that he will lose. And he did. Then the female Loki entered the room. And I knew, she will one-punch all the remaining men. And she did. Great movie-design, when the result of any action scene can be determined by gender and skin color alone.
All woke movies are designed around the exact same formula, which is why they are all failing in the exact same ways.
It is literally the Hays code all over again.
@@carljohan9265 -- yes, though it is boring to watch the lazy writing!
Pathetic!
I didn't really care who saves what 🤷♂️ I'm excited for the New season of loki 😮
A man cannot correct a woman a man cannot beat a woman in a fight and a man cannot be smarter than a woman -marvel writers room code of conduct
ain't just action scenes being predictable
you can predict a leftist moron nearly down to the words he uses.
you know what he finds funny
you know what offends him
you know what he thinks of faith
you know what he thinks about CRT, Forced Vax, taxes, abortion, BLM ete etc
you know what he thinks about 1A and 2A
you know what he wants
you know he doesn't care about anything unless the media tells him to care
Leftists are nothing if not predictable
"It saved lives because fewer people risked getting in their cars to go see it" awesome line!
I actually liked Loki. Even though the talks between him and Silvia were really weird, it was a cool story with Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson carrying the crap out of it
I stopped complaining and getting upset about any property that blames the consumer when the property fails. Misread I just don’t spend my money on any of them and occasionally watch CZcams videos that make fun of them. It’s working out pretty well so far.
For me too.
They lost it when Stan Lee passed away.
Dr. Strange was my favorite character, loved his arc and his first movie can stand all by itself. After seeing Dr. Strange 2 and how they completely gutted his character, powers, emotional maturity, and abandoned any sense of logic I have no desire to watch any more superhero movies ever.
Same. Fan of Dr. Strange going back 25 years. The second film was hot garbage.
Same, I couldn't bear watching it anymore halfway through the movie. If not for my brother who was having a good time this would have been the first cinema movie I would have walked out of halfway through.
I also drew the line with Dr Strange. And it has gotten significantly worse since then. I remember how Thor The Dark World was mocked as the worst MCU film, nowadays every new release is the worst release so far.
same, he was my favorite character until mom came out and it make me become mcu anti and stopped watching their shit. they ruined him bad.
Indeed so mate. Delusional wh0res have destroyed the characters we loved watching since one of the red flag of a feminists is being illogical and just being emotionally damaged
A fun, and oddly applicable fact, that I learned this week. During the shooting of the Count Dooku fight scene against Yoda, Christopher Lee's legs physically couldn't keep up with some of the shots. So Lucasfilms superimposed Christopher Lee's face over the stunt doubles in some shots. And those super-imposed edits back in 2002 looks better than the superimposition in Black Widow - in 2020.
I never noticed that in Star Wars, and I watched the movie twice. But I didn't notice that in Black Widow either. Maybe it's cause I never actually watched the movie nor any clip from it
And to think that star wars was criticized for bad CGI back in 2002 and yet 20 years later we have CGI that's actually worse
I like your name and profile pic.
Or the CGI for M.O.D.O.K.
This was amazing and a million times more entertaining than anything Disney puts out
This channel is absolute genius. Thank you
What they did to Loki is criminal. Just like they did with Chris Hemsworth and Thor, the writers took Tom Hiddleston's natural charisma and easy humor and turned Loki into the butt of every joke. Loki: a character with a dark history full of trauma and pathos, played by a genuinely good actor who OWNED the role. It's Love and Thunder-level failure for the small screen
It still amazes me how many people seem to like Loki. What they did to the character didn't make any sense. There was almost no continuity of intelligence, charisma, cunning, narcissism, or much of anything else that was established over and over again the previous movies to the character we saw in that show. For whatever reason you liked Loki the character, I would have thought that show killed it for you. Also, the whole everything we preordained thing was so so so so so so so stupid. Of course there's more, but I should probably do some work now...
@@samkochel6990 look at angry joes reviews of Loki. He literally rated every episode a 9/10 and a 10/10. That almost sounded like a sponsored review lol.
@@samkochel6990 Yes. It killed it for me alright. People like Loki because he is urbane, sophisticated, classy, witty and English. The accent adds to it, I should know I am English myself...He is also evil, a liar, devious and ruthless as well as selfish and full of ego. But he is actually very clever and there is some good in him as well. In other words a very complex and interesting character and T.H. nailed it and did a superb job. The loki in the show was nothing at all like the Loki in Avengers. Nothing. Its like its a completely different character. The Avengers Loki would never have let himself get kicked in the nuts and would have beheaded anyone who tried. After I sat through Loki, WandaVision and Falcon & Wintersoldier I had more or less given up. I have skipped Hawkeye, MoonKnight She Hulk, Eternals and Shang Chi. I will also be skipping Ant Man 3 and I saw every single film up to end game and loved those characters. Letting Robert D Jnr go was the first big mistake and its been one after another ever since.
For me Loki is the worse. I actually enjoyed elements of She-Hulk in comparison.
@@zaprese I skipped She-Hulk and watching the review videos makes me happy to have done so. I also skipped Ms. Marvel I don't think I could handle another teen girl getting powers and more of "the message." And while I am sure those are bad, of what I did watch, I think Loki was the worst for the character assassination they did to him, and the preordained timeline stuff...and the TVA being some retro 50s place (I thought that was dumb: in the whole multiverse timeline the TVA is a retro 50s place...way too hipster ironic for me). The only show I liked much at all was Wanda Vision and there were some bad choices there too (Harkless was too silly for me, Wanda didn't sacrifice for the people, just just stopped enslaving them, and they should've used Evan Peters for Quicksilver).
The only thing I've seen after End Game has been the Spiderman movie. You guys are saving a lot of us, not only from wasting our time but from having our memories of previous Marvel movies tarnished. I've actually gotten back into collecting old comics. Even the dumbest of the episodic stories were better written than this claptrap and you can pick up a lot of the old comics for less than the street price of current comics!
I still cant forgive them for randomly giving Ned magical powers when the fact that Ned's magical abilities seem to come out of nowhere and are never mentioned or hinted at in previous movies or comics.Additionally, the MCU establishes that sorcerers do not possess magic themselves, but rather channel the magic of other beings or dimensions. Therefore, Ned's abilities to use magic without explanation or training seemed like a convenient plot device. the cgi was also really bad throughout the entire fillm
Ned Flanders?
@@dailybirkenstock7341 I actually thought since they gave him magic they should have just gone with it fully and put him in Dr Strange 2 as a apprentice for comedic relief and develop his character.
Same here except I bypassed only Captain Marvel from those first 10 years. But yeah, just the Spiderman film since and I've zero incentive to see any of the others. Never watched any TV episodes of any series of theirs either.
Spider-Man is the only phase 4 movie I want to see. Haven’t seen anything since endgame. At least Stan Lee didn’t have to see this debacle.
This makes me so glad I checked out after Endgame. I imagine this feeling is like selling all your shares of a company at the highest possible stock price right before the company tanks, while watching all the naysayers ride the stock into the ground as they shame you for getting out at the right time. 😊
P. S. I did the same with Dr. Who after Matt Smith left. 😂
It kind of started towards the end of Endgame, all these shows and movies could of been amazing if there weren't trying to drown us in "the message". Despite it some of them were still decent I liked Loki.
tbf I think Capaldi’s doctor who run was really good and his individual episodes were on par with Tennant and Smith but it just doesn’t all come together like their runs do but yeah Jodie Whitakers run I quit about 3 episodes in
The John Malkovich edits in the dishonorable mentions segment (12:48) had me in stitches 😂
You put more work into making sure these videos have a clear, easy to follow assessment of the MCU than the MCU puts into the writing of their movies
You mean, M-she-U. lol!
lol very true
Do the MCU team even write any more beyond drafts these days?
I watched the latest Ant Man movie (my kids dragged me to it) and came away about 75% sure that the screenplay was written by ChatGPT.
Doesn't take much nowadays.
The fact they had Rick and Morty writers for a significant amount of these shows and movies actually explains a lot.
Failing upward, ya know
I know Rick and Morty has a multiverse but so do both the Marvel and DC comic universes. They had a whole bunch of potential story ideas from people who deeply know these characters a phone call away. I'm not saying you have to let the comic book writers write the screenplay but maybe they could get a few tips and tricks from them?
Apparently the "this show is too intelligent for the likes of you" mantra comes from the top. Jessica Gao sounds indistinguishable from insufferable Rick & Morty fans talking about gatekeeping the show for people above 160 IQ.
They tried to capitalize on the humor, but didn't trim any fat
You mean because both are awful and utilize cheap humor for minor laughs?
I was expecting the big bad of Black Widow to be Madame B, after all in AoU in Natasha's visions we saw Madame B not Dreykov. So disappointing.
Amazing Vídeo. Thanks so much.
I was very annoyed how Taskmaster in black widow was done. In the comics he's a jive talking, fun merc and henchman trainer that can copy your moves just by watching you. He knows almost every martial art, and had the potential of fighting black widow with all the styles of the avengers... and they did to him what they did to Deadpool in Wolverine. Completely removed his defining features and made him a blank slate genderswap.
I'll rattle through the others: Loki felt like Marvel Rick and Morty so I never saw it, and it proved to be a good idea. When She-Hulk rolled around I'd seen the pattern emerging from super hero content and had long ago parachuted to safety, it was worse beyond my initial preconceptions and it confirmed to me that Rick and Morty style californian cynicism masquerading as comedy and 2016 ghostbusters style attacks on the audience were going to be the standard going forward. I didn't even know the Eternals movie existed until it was tanking in its 2nd week. And Dr. Strange MOM is only worthy of dissection for film students like how a med student needs to cut into cadavers to learn what not to do.
with no voice, just like Wade in Wolverine 🤣🤣
Savage. I've never heard that film autopsy comparison before, very good.
I watch these videos so I don't have to see the movies and TV shows. That's also partly why I read the comments as well as for the humor. If you've actually seen any of them, then please stop torturing yourself and just watch the reviews by good critics instead.
@@anon_y_mousse I think I jumped off at Ant Man, because by then I was starting to notice the degrading quality and the ham fisted attempts at shoe horning humor into what should be tense situation. Now I just watch reviews like this. And after Disney's constant regurgitation of debooted disney classics, yes-gurl latte-sipping feminism, its attempts to strongarm local governments, its filming near a chinese concentration camp, and its shady habit of buying up properties and ruining them rather than actually taking some risks and being creative... I don't want to give Maus Zedong a dime.

That is the bright side to all the Disney fail. Content for folks like Nerdrotic, Mauler & the Drinker !
As someone who worked at Marvel Studios from Spider-Man : Homecoming through Spider-Man : Far From Home, I can honestly say that my departure was one of the most fortunate events in my life. I would be embarrassed to see my name in the credits of the mess they called Phase 4. I really feel bad for the people working there and while I did have several light conversations with Kevin Feige and believe that he really is a nice fellow, one of the issues people are not aware of is that when Disney decided to spin-up Disney+, they put an amazing level of stress on the 150 people who make up the business side of Marvel Studios. When they shifted from two to three movies a year, it was tough. Adding in three to five TV shows a year for additional content to make Disney+ a potential success really broke the environment. One of the last things I did in very early pre-production was set up the file storage environment for "Blue Bayou" which became Black Widow. This was late 2018 and was well before Covid derailed Hollywood. It really is sad but when you need someone to truly blame, look no further than Disney. They are poison and have managed to destroy Marvel, Pixar and Lucasfilm.
I have no idea who's wild idea was to think making 3 movies or series every year was going to be any good. I just hope that Disney finally crush and burn.
Disney is unoriginal... they're a corporate company buying others and bleeding them dry...it's just good business but marvel selling after the inspirational comeback of getting back on there feet after iron man 1 is truly the worst crime it's like watching a hero rise fall then get a sex change then turn to crack then getting another sex change...the MSheU is basically mr.garison from south park at this point

You know what, I'm still of the opinion that the MCU Phases should have ended with Endgame. It was the perfect closing act and wrapped all of our favourite heroes' stories up. After they wrapped it up, they could have then started fresh and done standalone audience-pleasers like continuing Tom Holland's Spider-man within the Sony universe, and then they could have had the freedom to do stuff like Golden Age Iron Man with a totally different actor as Tony Stark.
I couldn’t agree more with this! Iron man films like what you said and also some one-off films of some of the other comics not covered at all. Ones where you didn’t have 20 plus films all connected.
Other than the stuff with Tony in Endgame being good, I honestly much prefer having Infinity War be the end of the MCU (and in my headcanon it is), because not only was it the end of the really good storytelling, but it was also a rare example of a villain winning. Sometimes a story has a sad ending, and that can be a good thing.
@@kt151kt that’s a pretty good way of thinking too. Would have been more surprising. All those films build up to when they ultimately loose to a villain. Really spins the happy ending thing!
love your videos, keep up the good work
One more great video. Thanks from Brazil
I almost forgot about "body positivity time cop" 🤣 damnit I was so close to forgetting
Remember when people were excited that Disney was buying up everything. 🤣
Keep up the good work Gary. Never stop letting them know how badly they messed up.
Anything with a Disney logo on it is dead to me. They won't get a red cent out of me and they haven't since the last jedi.
Back in the day, I probably would've been thrilled to high heaven to see Nintendo partner with Disney for a Mario or Zelda movie.
Nowadays, I couldn't be more glad that didn't happen.
@@skyscavenger7732 I just hope warhammer 40k doesn't get tainted with the disease that is Disney and amazon.
Last Jedi was the nail in the coffin for me as well. If Cheerios has a Baby Yoda on it... I buy the store brand instead.

Nope , I said when they bought Star Wars " they are going to kill it !"
This edit is AMAZING!!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂
The fact that Wanda killed Xavier while he's doing the thing he's more powerful than anyone else besides maybe Jean Grey, being in someone else's mind, made me mad. Wanda is powerful, but in the mind scape, Xavier owns her. He'd know she was there and end her.
You must understand. In the M-She-U, if a Male Character is stronger than the female character, it is a crime, and must be immediately retconned so it isn't.
OMG, that killed me too. Really she can beat Xavier at a telepath. Maybe just choose some other way. Also, I don't understand how a statue falling on Captain Marvel can kill her...am I wrong on this? Can't she fly through spaceships and stuff?
I didn't like it either, but he wasn't "our" Xavier.
@@drpower3791 Bro, it was just poor writing. What does what you are saying have anything to do with anything?
To be fair, the Scarlet Witch is one of the most powerful beings in the entire MCU, as an old time marvel comics reader I didn't find it too unsettling, she really is that strong in pretty much anything she does. The fact that Wanda could destroy an Infinity Stone (incidentally the MIND Stone) without even tapping into the Scarlet Witch power should already say a lot.
Your comment about She-Hulk not being a feminist comedy puts me in mind of a New Yorker comic from the 90’s. The panel is a picture of a man in front of a counter in a retail store. Behind the counter is a woman staring daggers at him. The caption at the bottom read “This is a feminist book store. There IS no humor section”. 😅
Oh god how I miss that kind of comedic freedom. The 90s was the high point of our civilization.
I don't think these films are truly feminist. The true feminists are furious for male-to-female trans being accepted as women.
@@doncarlton4858 Feminism is just doing what political movements do when they have no real purpose anymore - they descend into narcissism and in-fighting over matters of ideological purity.
Now Secret Invasion takes the top 1 position
The GTA music for Captain Falcon 😂😂😂 14:22
Loki and Multiverse of Madness were probably the worst of Phase Four due to how much damage they did to the universe of the MCU, both of which were caused by people who worked on Rick & Morty.
Though subjectively, She-Hulk, Falcon & Winter Soldier, Eternals, Black Widow and Thor: Love & Thunder are so bad that I’d never wish my worst enemy to watch them all back to back in one sitting.
What they did to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was a crime
I guess I just have more hatred for my enemies, because I would wish that fate upon them, *every* phase 4 movie and TV show.
Bit harsh on falcon and winter soldier, that had some amazing scenes
Yeah you’ve gotta do better Rogue Fox.
Not yall 10 year olds acting like professional critics.💀
The use of the Candy Man clip is possibly the best gag/edit in a video of legendary gags/edits. Kudos, Gary & everyone who contributed.
At what time was that in the video?
Why would you hire a director, that doesn't read comic books, to direct a comic book movie?? That's like hiring a director that doesn't like contact sports to direct a football movie.
Top tier editing right here 😂👏
I think it says a lot when one thinks about how much money these shows missed by being the way they are.
I think this argument isn't holding water at this point. They're making money from Subs not Content.
@@CleverGirlAAH They've lost millions and millions of subs
@@CleverGirlAAH “Merchandising, merchandising, where the real money from the movie is made.” -Yogurt
The first goal of post-Disney+ content is to drive subscriptions. They are failing at that. Subs are down.
The secondary (and potentially more profitable) goal of releasing content is making money off the IP from every source possible. The Mandalorian was a cash cow due to "Baby Yoda," but nothing else has come close by a mile to entice fans to part with their money. A great example of this is Haslab. On Hasbro's version of Kickstarter they were able to get 28,111 people to buy an expensive Razor Crest toy. They could only get 1,413 backers for a toy version of Reva's lightsaber from the Obi-Wan show.
@@CleverGirlAAH they lost 2.4 million subscribers and their stock dropped over 40% from the start to the end of last year (edit: worst decline since 1974). They lost over $120 billion dollars in 2022. Disney + definitely isn’t making them money.
Disney+ has lost $10 billion since it's launch to the public. $2.5 billion in the last 6 months. $1 billion in the last quarter. Combine that with the MCU (Disney) using creative acctg / shell game to pay Disney and the loss of subscribers doesn't bode well. In addition, they haven't done well overall in the Nielsens signals trouble in paradise.
The beginning of the M-SHE-U was in phase 3 with Captain Marvel, which was the first flat-out bad one too, and boy did they follow it up quickly with a lot more!
I'm not sure what people expected from a captain marvel movie, I though it was half decent what it was.
@@healthiswealth1452 it shouldn't have been there. That's what I expected.
@@vb2806 doesn't quite make sense but I give u a 6/10 for edgyness
That and the star wars movies really surprised me. I expected characters to have challenges, improve over time and overcome those initial challenges... Instead, they were amazing at everything their first time trying it and they defeated the bad guy in every single fight they had like wtf? Who the hell beats a life long evil sith warrior in a light Saber battle the first time she even holds one? Who knows how to fly and aim magical lasers and powers within seconds without any enemy giving her the slightest difficulty? I kept thinking maybe I'm just watching a one-off terrible movie with very poorly written characters, but then the movies and shows kept coming and the out of context member berries never stopped. It's just wild...
You're not wrong. That and the "she's got help" endgame scene were a bad omen.
Is that Minor Circuit from Punch Out @ 17:44?
By the way, big ups for using the A-Team theme earlier on in the video!
I don’t need to say “M-She-U”. I can just say “a few of these projects suck” like an adult.
This video is the perfect chef’s kiss to the death of the M-SHE-U, kudos to Gary, I just can’t get enough of his video, I look forward to it every time a new one comes out, keep up the amazing work, and RIP to the MCU, you will be missed, and goodbye to the M-SHE-U, it should never have existed!
She-Hulk was a fun, spunky, confident woman in the comics. The fact that the writers didn't realized that stripping her of all those traits was far more sexist that whatever the "trolls" would say about the show, is hilarious to me.
Somehow they failed to notice that Jen Walters' Hulk form is simply her Hulked up precisely *because* she's such a well-adjusted person. They also missed the opportunity to show how insane (and thus entertaining) the court system is in the Marvel universe.
Couldnt agree more, nice work 🤣🤣🤣🤣

@@username4441 yeah, like milk and eggs and stuff
@@michaeldavid6832 i don't really get a kick out of it. I've spent the last decade living abroad and Marvel was an icebreaker or something you could easily do with new friends ( especially in countries with high expat turnover). It seems a bit silly, but makes me feel like the world is fragmenting more and more.
The problem with the MCU and female characters is that they don’t introduce them as flawed but still likeable people who by the end of their film/show have matured and grown, but instead it introduces them already knowing how “cool” and “amazing” they are and expect you to just accept it.
Why should I get invested in a character in a piece of media when they don’t have any struggles to overcome or lessons to learn. I want the MCU to have likeable female protagonists who have to be humbled and matured through experience and trials. Not “female character who is already great and everyone around them has to learn how great they are”
Female Captain America doesn't really bother me cause it's from another Universe. She's not replacing him, she just exists in another plane, which is fine.
I will never forget what Midnight’s Edge said about the writer’s room scene during the “legendary” ending of She-Hulk:
The man that was in that room was not a writer, he was a scapegoat.
And for me, it is the epitome of Marvel going forward. They try will try and blame anything but themselves and are so bad at lying that everyone can see right through them immediately.
They literally had to create fictional male characters to add to the 'real world' She-Hulk writers room (since their definition of diversity apparently requires the expulsion of 50% of the planets population) then had one of them being caught 'mansplaining' decent (and therefore uninteresting to these 'more evolved' writers) writing and another who exists solely to be shown he has been appropriately browbeaten.... the malice that infused that entire series shone through.
Cherry on top, the idiot 'activist' writers then patting themselves on the back for their superior intellect not realising what they actually created was a damning self-report of their own mendacity and damaged psychology. :p
@@ssharp755 Oh it is worse than 50%. These type of activists are erasing real females too. I laugh everytime an award or job is given to a fake woman. All my life feminist have whined about "no equal access". Now the feminists are the first to give away a woman's accolade or job to a fake woman. As a real woman, secure in my womanhood, I have to laugh. I would feel badly for the young women cheated out of all the opportunities but they are mostly woke fools and deserve what they get.
Well done Gary, it amazed me at how they sabotaged and destroyed their own brand without flinching and with a smile.

One can happily skip phase 4 without missing much
The MCU died after Endgame. "Spider-Man: No Way Home" and "Shang-Chi" were good, but I didn't even watch "The Marvels" and "Secret Invasion," and I only watched about an episode each of "Moon Knight," "Ms. Marvel," and "She-Hulk." I even cancelled my Disney+ membership a month or so ago.
Fun fact.
I COMPLETLY forgot the eternals existed until recently.
Thank you, nerdrotic!
I've been reading comics for over 30 years and often forget the Eternals exist. They simply aren't that interesting so I have no idea why a movie was made about them.
@@BiggieTrismegistus During the conceptualization phase they might have thought they'd catch lighting in a bottle again like with Guardians of the Galaxy. Before the movies only hardcore readers of relatively recent Marvel comics were aware of them. In actuality they should take a hint at the level of oversaturation they're dealing with when resorting to measures like these.
