Front spark plug on 990 engine can be reached from the right wheel well. You might have to remove the grill for the radiator. Beats removing the air box. Reason why the code appears is when the brake pressure does not reach the certain value before the low pressure switch. You can actually see the pressure reading if you have the BRP program on your computer. Good job!!!
Problem is, almost 90% of this video has NOTHING to do with getting rid of the Brake Failure Message that I came here to see... so, Archi you might want to think about this video and re-film it.
this needs to be done before erasing the code, if you still have low pressure, or air in your lines , deleting the messages will not do any good as they will show up again in no time. , best regards
@@indiomechudo1 , nothing to do with low pressure, it is the brake peddle travelling too far down and tripping the second sensor. The brake cable needs to be adjusted toa point were the pedal will not travel too far
@@Pedro116092 it has to do with the low pressure switch , and the video is all about solving the problem , 90% might not be related but is can am spyder related, what else can you expect for FREE ADVICE ? it worked for me and thousands more, sorry you didnt like it, but there is a manual for sale at the dealer best regards
nice video, i just changed the front and rear pads for a client, first time on this bike, the screen now shows the brake failure code, i will watch your video on that, thanks
It is part of the brake hydraulic system, and must bleed also the same way you bleed the calipers, the vss *(vehicle stability system) must be bled at last. i recomend to have a mityvac vacum pump or other that will do the same job as it is a real pain to reach the vss, i have small hands and had a hard time. best of luck to you
Archi Gomez yes I did that I bled everything like u taught me but now I can’t get red of the brake failure light cause the brake is solid n I can’t push the pedal far enough to get the secound click. To get rid of the light. Thnx for all ur help keep making those videos, u probably helped 1000’s of people.. ur the man !!
It is safe , as long as the brake pads are ok, the problem is that at one time you provably pressed the rear brake to hard and activated the second switch (low pressure switch) and the computer recorded that.. but is annoying , look at the video is not easy but is not difficult . can do it yourself.. i have another video qhere is better explained, best regards
You can reset it turn the bike on press the brake pedal down until you hear the second click it’s hard to hear but it will click you have to press pretty hard hold that turn the bike completely off and remove the key and hold it for another minute and then start the bike back up and release the brake pedal
Hello frend My can am wont drift, interrupts acceleration on low rpm when i wont drift… when i acceleration normally the can am is okay and it can goes to max speed, is that the error or something likes Traction control, i instaled new spark plugs and it is the same?
hello Srki, i dont quite understand clearly the problem you are having. what do you mean by drift? maybe idle? the screen must be giving you some error code. please send me a picture or a video , maybe i can help you , i will be happy to do it . send to indiomechudo gmail.com
that's because it is nothing to do with removing the error code. The only way to remove/reset the error code is to hook up a computer with the CAN-AM software and delete the error code. The code is tripped when your brake pedal is depressed to fan and trips the second sensor. This can be everted by adjusting your hand brake drum and then taking up the slack which affects the brake lever. Hope this helps.
@@Pedro116092 Is what i thought but it can be erased without the computer software, there is a very small note in the service manual on how to do it, let me find it and i will be glad to send you a snap shot. i made 2 videos i believe on the second one it tells you the right sequence to erase. but before that all the air needs to be taken out of the system, the calipers need to be taken off the original position and i followed exactly the service manual instructions. and most important is to also bleed the vss (vehicle stability system) it is very hard to reach, even though i have small hands was a pain . let me find that note and take a picture , best regards

Pretty much he said purge each wheel raising the caliper on 12oclock!!!
Yes basically (the two front calipers), the rear do it normally. and most important also bleed the VSS,

Is it safe to drive it with the BRAKE FAILURE CODE flashing?
I've had my breaks redone at the dealership and they can't figure out why the light is on. I'm going to show them this video.
