Expensive rack? That was a spendy rack.
Hey Scotty I tried to get up with you on everything i know how can I get up with my car 😣🤦🏾♀️ serous help needed!!!
@scotty kilmer Which years models made in Japan were sold in the US? I don't want to get stuck with Mazda engine if I decide on one. Thanks! PS.. spouse loves her accord still, thank you again!

You say..."find a mechanic like me!" But in reality you guys are like unicorns!
There's no one else like Scotty.. Broke the mold!!!
My mechanic charges $85 an hour but is the most honest guy I know. A lot of people look for the cheapest labor costs and those are the mechanics that are rip offs.
@@jesseashmore8426 Scotty doesnt get tired of saying that lol
I'm lucky to have the mechanic I've got. I drive 2 hours to get there, but he's worth it.
@@jesseashmore8426 Same here I know a really good mechanic like that. He used to have a shop, but now he works out his garage charges the same money but he will deal just about anything to do with car repairs and car stereo.
I love how Scotty always cuts out the stream of foul language he undoubtedly spews out when he's working on cars. Very diplomatic.
He only spews out when its not a toyota ... everything else is stupied thing, piece of crap...
@@kevinduprey9326 Not necessarily. He likes Hondas too.
"A lot of times I drive, like, for ten miles with the emergency brake on. That doesn't say a lot for me, but it really doesn't say a lot for the emergency brake. It's really not an emergency brake, it's an emergency 'make the car smell funny' lever." --Mitch Hedberg

Ahhhh I see, But the golden question is:
*Who ended up paying for damages?*
On the Asian market, that car is called a “Vios”. And btw, Toyota made new generations of that. It just wasn’t offered to the American market. My guess is because it will eat into the market share of the Corolla. The newer Vios is so well equipped and not that smaller than the Corolla, way cheaper, so that’s why it’s one of the best selling cars in Asia.
Yeah I visited the Philippines back in 2012 and man they were everywhere. Most of them were used as taxis too.
I'm from Thailand, and my neighbours own this model(Vios). I'm surprised that this model exists in the US.
if you ever know anything about america, everything is big there
a car with 1.5L N/A is actually laughable there...even the corolla with a 2.0L is considered "small" there but is considered quite big in the asian market
their camry had a V6 engine there that will never be sold in the asian market
@@alien13579 a relative of mine once driven a Camry with a V6. But it was a company's car(Toyota). The normal ones are 2.4, and those are considered big engines in Asia.

EU/UK Yaris are still built in France as Toyota models, they were quite popular over here.

My 2010 Accord has the 2.4L 190 HP engine. Car still runs like new.
Last year I bought the 2007 yaris hathback LE. 2200 bucks with 160k miles, put 500 in new struts, rear shocks and all new brakes with rotors and drum brakes. Turned out to be a truly great car. Took several long trips and not one single issue. Have 3 other cars most would buy instead the Yaris, but not one of those can compete with the it on gas mileage or reliability. And all 3 of those cost a lot more to buy and maintain.

Haha yeah I put it on at a friends house because their driveway has quite an incline. When I left I forgot to take it off, then 3 miles later I start hearing a scraping noise, called my hubby (owner of Yaris) and was like I have no idea what’s going on. 2-3 more miles later I look down as it’s still scraping and go, “....Oh. 😂”
Good thing about Crown Vic I drive now, automatic parking brake release when shifting into drive.

I'm a bit surprised it didn't cause transmission, bearing and brake warpage problems. Often does with the brake engaged. The full sized Cadillacs have rear disk brakes and water loves to get into where the mech brake goes into the brake. 120K miles or so if you set the brake and it can stick. It doesn't take long before the rim is very hot. It'll boil water. Do that long enough and it'll fry the transmission.
I have a 2008 Toyota Yaris hatchback. It is great. My wife did the same thing in a different car. All that was needed to replace it was Regular brake pads, Parking brake pads, hub assembly, Warped springs, ABS sensor and wheel cover. That wasn't much at all...
