This is a video showing how to replace the front bumper end caps on a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Thanks for watching!
👍🏾 why isn't this video the first one after the search input, I had to go through 22 other videos before finding the one I really needed. Thank you a thousand times!!!
Great video. Straight to the point. No extra bs to listen too. And I like how you just cut the video right to next bolt/clip without having to watch you remove all 7 bolts in real time. Will be watching more videos.
This is one of the best darn DIY videos I've ever watched, concise and to the point! Thanks!
nice work, didn't think it would of been that easy. thanks for your time
Thank you very informative I didn't think it would be that easy just to take the bumper off to change the end caps. Taking them off once already and reinstall them now I have to put the new ones on with the fog lights just did a total restoration from license plate to license plate placed all the rust I can't believe your vehicle doesn't have a spot of rust under neath it must not live in Northeast. Good job thank you
Just did this. Your video helped. Thank you. This appears to be a 1500? I got into my 2500 & it looked a little different. With mine I didn't have to remove the U-bolts going thru the side of the brackets, just removed the front facing bolts at bracket (4) each side, and (1) far wide bolt along a bar on each side. - Finished and the bumper meets grill ok, but both my end caps are out of wack at headlight bottom & wheel well...don't yet know what else i can do to close those gaps...
how did you fix it
Now this has to be the best video I've seen. Other Videos and the way I've done it you have to remove the grill
Your intro is legend
Well done video To the point Great camera work and narration Exactly what I needed. Thanks
Thank you for posting!
Good step by step video.
thanks.i didnt have to remove the whole bumper,it was easy, the hardest part was to put in the plastic rivets below the headlights. but thanks for your video
I just bought a truck that has that center chrome piece dented your a life save
Very good and straight to the point. Like this video. Let me know when you are in the VA area
You've got a No B.S. video. Thank you.
Sir your video was helpful, i changed mine easily
Do you have any idea how wide the trim pins are on the flap at the beginning of the vid which is connected to the bumper & the body? Just bought a removal tool (hard to find good ones) it's 9/32" wide. - It looks like you use an Impact Wrench on the bolts for bumper to frame, is that right & necessary? Would need to buy that. You use a regular ratchet before that, but for all I know maybe frame bolts are on tighter? Thanks you. Great concise vid.
Helped me more than other videos
😂 great job thanks for your help
Very helpful, I'm having to replace that center section that the license plate bracket attaches to. (Poor approach angle while driving off road). The bumper end caps were my sticking point, I couldn't find any information as to whether or not they had to come off or if they came off as part of the bumper assembly. I'll also be heading back to my local parts and tool store for a trim removal tool, looks like it's much easier than a screw driver.
Best video i have seen in 👍
Video well done. I do like the added "Got Bullets" shirt and "JESUS" plate on the wall. thumbs up!
Great video. I just replaced my chrome ones with black corners with fog lights based on the take down of the bumper from your video.
Hit a deer today and the bumper is bent and sagging. Hopefully a can fix the sagging when replacing the bumper.
Nice body shop didn’t align my bumper like it was before. Guess I gotta do it myself.
More videos from you please! You taught me how to do ball joints!
Thanks man you helped me out a lot
Great job!! 👌 Straight to the point
Glad you got hit. I have to remove my bumpy and it looks really easy. Praise be!
to change out that chrome bumper cover do i need to remove the whole bumer, how u did
I bought at scrap yard two end caps matching color blue granite with fog lights openings for $100.00 dollar, buffet polished out, like new, no scratches, $60.00 new fog lights assembly from ebay with shipping included , installed with out removing all bumper, still there is other ways to approach with less chance of any damage my caused .
Just seen your video on this Silverado ..great job
Where can I get the right hardware for the end caps?
The textured matte finish looks even better than how it was before. Nice demonstration and explanation.
csquared merp
Thanks for the video bud 👍
thank you!
Great job. I appreciate it.
How hard would it be to take the middle piece out
Just did a bumper swap on my 2012. that center bar, the one right below the grille in the middle is also where every bit of the bumper's inner superstructure attaches. You'll have to remove the entire bumper to change the center bar
Thanks
Wouldn't it have been cheaper and easier to just sand and fill the scratches, then buy a 20 dollar can of pre-color matched spraypaint? Either way AutoPartsWarehouse is a great site.
Yes, but I've never had good luck with doing fill work on anything flexible. Thanks for watching!
roadragecustoms I've never had much luck doing fill PERIOD lol. I do know that they make special flexible filler for bumper material, and also a special primer too. I've never used it so I'm not sure how well it works.
Before I decided to click on the comment section I thought of making a similar comment 😂
So true man, he could of gotten 320 dry sandpaper and a can of bed liner and that's that.
WOW...wish my parts were THAT CHEAP! My 2007 2500HD corners are $100 EACH!!! Insane! (considering that if it were a 1500, the almost-identical end costs $25)...
Does anyone know the part number of the 2 trim clips he removes at 2:46? I broke one of mine and the other looks worse for wear. I have no idea what to ask for or order. Google has been of no help. Thanks for any info you may be able to provide.
NVM I located it. For anyone else it is GM (25639958). Hope That might help someone out there. Be aware they are very expensive for what they are. I tried regular clips but they were not fitting as well.
rock auto has the end caps for the bumper for 11 bucks
If you put an HD bumper will it fit???
Eduardo Hernandez I don't know. I've never tried it.
Eduardo Hernandez yes it will
Hey can I have that old finder? I need to change my bumper. But just going to change one finder.
still looking for a bumper? I have a chrome one without the center opening.
@@ajackson2967 i thought I need a bumper it's a left side bracket.
SUBSTANTIAL Roadragecustoms

There's no reason to take off the entire bumper to do this job. It's as easy as removing 9 or 10 bolts behind the end cap, a few of which hold the front air dam, and 3 retainer clips up top just underneath the headlights. Then pull straight out, just keep in mind there are two white plastic clips near the front seam of the cap which are still holding it in place.
That sucks i never understood how people can have some type of insurance and they can hit you but if they don’t have liability or full coverage you basically don’t get anything it’s not fair for the other side that did nothing wrong
