    U can take the bumper off first, then go to replacing the middle or end caps. No need to take the grill and lights off.

    Quick question I’m not sure if you’d know this but I’m trying to look for front bumpers for a 2007 Chevy Silverado and all the options available are for 1500 models however I have a 3500 , will a 1500 front bumper fit on a 3500 body?

    • @mycoolshows6702
      @mycoolshows6702  Před 2 lety

      I believe it is possible but would wind up being a lot of extra work due to the 1500 trucks having multi-piece front bumpers. the 2500 and 3500 trucks have a one piece solid front bumper. I'm sure that the bumper hanger/support is completely different.

    • @mycoolshows6702
      @mycoolshows6702  Před 2 lety +1

    • @mycoolshows6702
      @mycoolshows6702  Před 3 lety +1

      It fit tight at first. Once you get all of the bolts in and tightened up it fits nicely. The only complaint is that it is made with thinner metal... so you can see small ripple lines in it up close at the right angle. If I were to do it again I would have tried to find a new OEM bumper.

  • @jaycos4905

    Dude, did you have to take out the grill and headlights?

    • @mycoolshows6702
      @mycoolshows6702  Před 2 lety

      Due to the clips shown at 4:15 and the bolts shown around 8:02 in the video it is pretty necessary to at least remove the grill. The headlights being removed make removing the bumper end caps much easier too. In a short answer, yes you have to take the grill and headlights out.
      It is really isn't that hard to remove them though. What's funny is that to even replace your turn signal bulbs you have to remove the grill and the headlights lol. So if you have any bulbs blown in the front I would go ahead and replace them while you're doing this job as well.

    • @danielblea7453
      @danielblea7453 Před 2 lety

      You actually don't. I removed all of my bumper assembly without taking the grill and headlights off and it was just as easy. You just access the majority of the bolts from underneath. I wouldn't recommend removing grill and lights as it's unnecessary.
