Nope I have a problem with his opinion he mentions the unity part but why doesn't he acknowledge the fact that story quality has been declining and on top of that interesting and thought provoking topics for creating storys are not being adapted or used in the film industry and I mean as a whole like in the entire Indian film industry market which is what bothers me the most because it's always like they follow this pattern of releasing atleast one Nationalist movie, atleast a dozen Romance, atleast few random larger than life ones and idk sometimes good thrillers and psychological ones like seriously when are we going to get proper Fantasy storylines or proper Sci-Fi are those like erased from the mind of Indian audiences also where is my good old Supernatural genre I don't mean trash horror movies I mean proper supernatural occurence movies which will keep you guessing till the last moment of the movie which have immense amount of drama or mythology behind it I still remember the day I saw Tumbaad the reason this story still haunts me till this day is because it isn't told like any other horror or supernatural story but rather there is lore building in the background that tells the story of Hastar and also it feels way to much like a story that a grandmother would say to her grandson to scare them when they were kids that's why this hits even harder, So my question is are directors and actors both blinded by money because seriously that movie deserves better and I want more movies like that which explore Indian Fantasy and Mythological Lore though I don't mean real ones since Hindu community loves to stick blades within Director's asses if "PROPER"(according to them) is not portrayed even though it's should be the Director who gets to choose what is proper and what is improper

He said he has to dedicate one or two years on making a film and if he does one hindi movie and comes back to telugu movies, telugu audience has to wait almost 3-4 years to watch his movies. He doesn't want to make ppl wait for so long and leave telugu cinema for this reason bcoz that's what made him a star. Now that things are changed and even telugu movies are getting released in north he feels there's no need to act separately in hindi.

Devarakonda is right. Unless you unite, Hollywood movies are gonna do the same thing to the Indian movies once they did to the European movies, especially French. I don’t think Mahesh Babu said anything controversial. I’ve been watching his English interviews for a long time. He’s always said telugu films are his only priority. He’s not saying this suddenly because Bahubali/RRR worked. If you check his interviews from 2000s, he said the same thing, even though he’s speaks better hindi than telugu.
Nawaz uddin always said that he does some movies for money and some movies for his intellectual pleasure. He does movies like Kick and Munna Micheal for money. On the other hand, he didn’t charge Nandita Das any money for Manto. I don’t know why some people can’t understand his duality. He’s always been clear about his preferences. He blatantly said in an interview that he struggled a lot in his life so he doesn’t mind working for money. It’s the audience who need to lower their expectations on him
The recent attack / smear on Bollywood is nothing new. There’s an old political joke in New York, “If you wanna be a career politician, criticize the NYPD”. The politicians there use their criticism against the nypd as the ladder to fulfill their political ambitions. Similarly, Bollywood is so big that many people smear / criticize it just to achieve their goals. It can be for increasing twitter/ youtube followers, channel TRP etc. There were many small youtube channels which had only 100-200 followers . But they gained thousands of followers during the pandemic just by criticizing hindi industry/ Salman/ Karan Johar. They capitalized the audience’s frustration/helplessness.
It’s become a fashion to praise south movies just to undermine / humiliate hindi movies. The thing is entertainment isn’t a zero sum game . You don’t have to humiliate hindi movies in order to praise the south movies. Both industry can co-exist at the same time. Also this nepotism argument is totally bogus imo. The industry owes you nothing. Capitalism gives you the opportunity to reject a product. If you don’t like an Ananaya Pandey movie, then just don’t watch it. As a consumer, you have the power to reject it. But thinking that the entertainment industry owes you anything is delusional. Our job as an audience is to consume the entertainment and then just move on with our life. It’s not our job to determine if the star kids deserve works or not

I enjoyed the action of the movie larger than life part but they seriously need a good story. So I just was amazed by people reaction to a movie I found just average.
We need larger than life part in a film but with a brilliant script and story too so that the art in movies can also thrive.

This was a good watch. Just a couple of thoughts......
    a) Antihero and his exploits are the new normal. I don't see a hero worship in the recent Southern trend, rather the rise and character depth of Antiheroes and their exploits. Even in RRR Ramcharan's character was an antihero.
    b) It seems that lack of articulation from the mass audience has put the class audience on a pedestal. People will not buy tickets to watch a sob story or a docudrama. They need the adrenaline flowing, the sprinkling social commentary through the thriller, action genre could be a very well suited genre for these new age films.
    c) I support Vijay Devrakond'as words in letter and spirit, we should have only Indian cinema shot in such and such language and dubbed in so and so languages.

I don't think he should make so called art films. Movies like KGF and Ugramm both are artistic in their own way.
In 10-20 years people will celebrate Jhon Wick as master in engaging audience and action sequence, MAD MAX is already their, some Marvel movies are ART forms itself.
Even legendary directors needs to understand that doing action, comedy and larger than life things is not just mere entertainment, it's ART. Why every other can't do movies like Mad Mad Or KGF Or RRR, don't be hypocrite and say only slow burner non-action story tellers are ART cinema.

So, it all boils down to keeping those emotions always in focus but presenting everything else around it as grandly as possible. South North, East, West ...nothing matters after that. The movies are usually shot once and dubbed anyway.

As an Indian from the South of India who watches movies in all languages(provided they have subtitles, or not at times), I was annoyed when I got many "Bollywood is dying" videos on my recommended.
For the problem has been division. Like they couldn't be glad that _Indian_ movies were doing good but they were bothered that _Hindi_ movies weren't doing great.
The beauty is in the risk you are willing to take. Being safe on Biopics and Remakes will definitely not do, at least not for long.
Like Mahesh Babu said, you needn't do Hindi movies today, there was a time where people thought Hindi movie was the peak of the mountain of success which may even help you reach another mountain called Hollywood. But it is not now, neither is success measured like that now. And this is something to be glad about, that all industries are reaching their heights and are outdoing themselves.
Be it our country or cinema, we are united in and at times united by diversity. ♥️
We have an audience for all genres and all languages who breathe cinema.
Where there's good content, nothing dies.
What's sad is that South cinema is all of South Cinema but Bollywood is Bollywood alone.
I believe it is the balance,
    (Just an example)
the balance between movies like Jai Bhim, KGF, RRR, Bheeshma Parvam and Soorarai Potru(and many many more)that makes it work in harmony.
A true story, fiction, real heroes with fictional stories, story based on mythology and a biopic with a little fiction. All of them have heroes, one different from the other, worshipped and celebrated differently from the other. And villains, some physical, social and even psychological.
And just heroism isn't the base of all South Indian movies. There have been such movies and some of them have failed as well.
All industries make good movies and movies that don't do good occasionally. This sudden hype from the media about Bollywood dying is just sad. Neither do I understand the need to be so dramatic about it. 🧐
We'll just have to wait. Good things take time, a lot of it.🖤
There has been a lot of controversies and conspiracies about an existing gang in Bollywood. I couldn't care less.
    All I know is that,
This is Indian cinema, and it shall remain immortal.

One more thing to add here is that Southern people ( political geography) do not Watch Hindi films( majority of them) but the craze for the files form southern industry is very huge. With big budget movies from down South and people from North are accepting for various reasons such as telecast on almost all channels left no room for the Hindi movies. I remember my mother leaving watching TV because no more Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda movies were shown. All were Hindi language dubbed south Indian movies. However, younger generation is accepting these movies as most of the employment opportunities to study opportunities is in south and here is a trend to watch movies including South Indian movies. Northern states too the younger generation is loving these because that is what they re watching. But Hindi movies are not able to find its space as the history goes. Majority of the southern states' people neither used to watch nor will watch Hindi movies. 83, Uri, Runway 34 all are such a good film but they will not be accepted in southern society.
