i have no sympathy for sonam. she's the same person who has bodyshamed other actresses many times and seems to have no problem doing so. she told parineeti chopra to not to wear tight dresses (indicating that she was fat). She also said "if you are ugly, you're stereotyped to be a good actor in Bollywood." She is trying to say that she is not considered a good actor because she looks 'pretty'. The audacity of someone to actually say that and call people ugly and then come on a roundtable and speak about insecurities regarding body issues.

Sonam didn't even realised that Vidya complimented her. She took it wrong way as always she did. Just reminded me of how she addressed Aiswarya Rai as Aunty just because Aiswarya worked with her father in the past.

Sonam could have take it as compliment, literally she looks so good, whatever the hate she has is she earned by herself not by Nepotism . Actually Vidya Balan wanted to be nice with Sonam and she ended up making Vidya also uncomfortable in the end. 🙂

The episode was all about Alia and her marriage....Karan s bias was clearly seen....he didn't talk ABT ranveer...still in less time Ranveer Singh shined🔥

Only remaining thing from her side is wearing I am married to Ranbir Kapoor hat or shirt. Full image building of him into some sanskari bechara boi and how Alia is lucky that she got married to him. That was exhausting. Seriously, I wonder if girls are that crazy for Ranbir as Alia think or it's just some imagination she has for her god. The way they cornered Ranveer and kept talking about marriage then tried to get some controversial statements from Ranveer, making him into some gossip aunty. You can see on Ranveer face that he actually smart and able to handle it smartly.
@@speakingmymind7970 The problem is not with Alia Bhatt answering the questions. The fault is with the host framing such questions which puts the actors in a place where they are bound to give an answer. And Ranveer Singh talking about nepotism is baseless cause his paternal grandmother (Chand Burke) was a yesteryear heroine who was known for her energetic screen presence and Ranveer Singh is the second maternal cousin of Sonam Kapoor.
Using nepotism as an excuse to question the fairness of movie industry is becoming too cliche. Ranveer Singh has time and again stated about his struggles to earn a place in Bollywood. For once it would be great if he admits that he too has people in his family who belonged to the movie business. I am not denying that he did not had to face difficulties to be in the position he is now but for once can people also talk about the privileges they have rather than always cribbing about their struggles.
I dunno what Deepika replied but if I was asked why I wasn't wearing sandals, I would reply that I threw it at the last journalist who was asking about my shoes and never got them back.

Seems like she did have some issues because she was overweight but seriously she tries too hard to make us relate to her problems. Some women come off like that and vidya naturally reacted to that immediately as "how come she thought...."
Ranveer talking about the nepo bias seemed like a jab at the trolls who always bring that up in any sort of argument. I don't think Ranveer has any malice towards Karan Johar or the big leagues of bollywood, he is an YRF product afterall

How do you think these relationships are built in the first place? You think the first time KJo met SRk he was like "oh you are not connected to any film family so I won't talk to you"? It's just a stupid logic. Obviously he prefers spending time with those whom he shares a personal bond. Who doesn't?

I don't know about awkward interaction but one interaction that definitely makes it to my cringe list is Roundtable with Rani , Deepika, Alia, Anushka, Tabu. They are discussing about #metoo and Rani just wouldn't shut up. She keeps on interrupting valid points being made by other actors and making annoying hang gestures and noises in between. It was soooo annoying. My god!
Have discussed it before in an episode! Still gives me traumatising flashbacks.
I still sometimes go back to that video and pay my respects.

This whole episode was abt ranbir n alia's journey..on hw the met..fell in love n got married. Thats it. Ranveer was not even there in that episode i feel..the only best part were ranveer was actually ranveer singh was when he did the mimicry. Thats it. Even the nepo comment he did was totally felt scripted..totally..wo kanran ne hi bola hoga usko ki tu aisa aisa bol ha. The whole time ranveer was lost..n he had nothing to do n say also..it felt like..he was handed a script. In so many yrs he never spoke abt nepo kids n nw suddenly he started bashing him 😂😂we are not fools sitting her. N ranveer himself is not an outsider..he was launched by yrf..ranveer has many many contacts in that industry.
Ranveer was just there because ranbir refused to go to the show. Ranveer can’t say no to Karan johar and Aditya chopra, he is a star today only because of him being an ‘yes’ man to dharma and yrf.

I just felt that all Karan Johar was just addicted to asking Aalia Bhatt about her wedding only. He steered almost all the questions directed to either her wedding or Ranbir Kapoor, whereas the questions for Ranveer Singh were diversified.

Ranbir Alia had a wedding that matches their stardom. Karan knows it but he is trying hard to make it sound more heartfelt than any other weddings in bollywood. KJo is continuing his social experiment with Alia and now Ranbir.
Alia is the modern day example of a social media experimentation. Her gigantic success shows how social media and public relations strategists manipulate our thinking process. We’re constantly being fed that she is the new age method actor. Then starts the politically aligned positive rotten tomatoes reviews, a front page pic on a western magazine. I’m not sure if people realize what a huge social media experimentation Alia is. The next is Ibrahim Ali khan

She’s been shoved down our throats. They spent the last 2 seasons of koffee with Karan to drive home the fact she was the next superstar. At the time she had 2 releases. They tried and still trying hard to do that with Sara but audiences judgement has improved. Alia is average and if she didn’t have kjo’s backing she would’ve been a one film wonder.
I dont think Ranveer moment was awkward...seems highly scripted. Karan has taken the flagbearer of Nepotism to further stamp that as his preferred brand. Ranveer himself comes from a background that unlocked the industry much easier than the Joe Soap on the street. While we may differ on whether he himself is a product of Nepotism, he has had an advantage we cannot begrudge him on. Nepo Bias indeed

It was a torture to watch kwk as karan was constantly blowing the trumpet for alia like how he did for Sara ali khan in koffee shots.The difference is dhanush gave him back in his style whereas ranveer was not able to do so

For me the most awkward moment in KWK7 Episode 1 has to be where Ranveer Singh and KJo were talking something about Ranveer 's sex life. Alia looked very uncomfortable, almost grossed out by the same.
Agreed. Even I felt very uncomfortable. It was too much. Nepo bias thing was fun but not this one.
I mean, it was a question and they were talking about it. Alia is a prude, as was quite obvious, but KWK is supposed to be a no-holds-bar candid show so you can't complain what others are talking about - especially since it has absolutely nothing to do with you.

Koffee with Karan is just upgraded version of "mohalle ki aunties gossip session or chai pe charcha with uncles" where everyone just gossips about their married life, their neighbours extra- marital affairs and all that bullshit. Also, At this point this Alia- Ranbir marriage looks so fake to me , even after not watching/searching for any KWK episode(haven't watched a single episode since it started)every other youtube shorts i watch is Alia telling Karan how she's so happy after getting married. I mean please stop it🙏 You mentioning the hype around kwk on social media , i had no idea about it. Well, Thank god I'm not on any social media platform life is so much peaceful and relaxing 😂💯 and I've real issues to deal with.

Ranveer- Alia episode had many borderline passive aggressive moments. Earlier, Koffee with Karan used to have a certain level of sophistication and grace which has been reduced to KJo having a crass gossip session with his friends.
passive aggressive has been the case through many seasons also but I won't deny the underlying tone in this episode!

I watched the whole 1st episode of KWK..firstly they tried hard to show that they are besties but when it comes of their spouses who already have past shows the internal jealously of both of them because even if these two wives and two husbands came in last season as best friends but alia couldn't handle the comparison of her physical stature with deepika same with ranveer about ease of dancing skills then ranbir..this shows the reality of these so called best friends
There is no friendship in Bollywood and that's a fact..they have a movie releasing that's all
Ranveer is a better dancer than Ranbir on any given day....most of his dance are quite iconic and has been celebrated.

Correction, vidyut doesn't hail himself as biggest martial artist. He is actually hailed by the world , studded along with stars like Jackie Chan, Tony Jaa, Jet li, Donnie yen, provided being top 10 dangerous men alive. He's extremely underated and deserves more out of this Bolly's stereotype crap.

For that you need to be extremely good martial artist as well ! Even the real martial artists in the world need time to adapt themselves as a performer in big screen ! Its a next level control
Sadly even Tony Cha doesn’t doesn’t get his due in Thailand. Sad but true . So it would be simplistic to always blame Karan. He isn’t the only person responsible for the apathy towards these budding actors.

He's a movie star who's hella athletic and pretty good in the martial arts "for show" , the kind that looks pretty but is useless in a fight with a person who knows what he's doing (a true MARTIAL ARTIST) any MMA pro half vidyut's size would choke his ass out or knock him tf out with ease.

I thought Ranveer's "nepo bias" comment was just his dry and sarcastic sense of humour, it's the reactions of Karan and Alia that turned the whole thing into an awkward issue
Sometimes laughing at yourself is the best and the most confident way you can respond to that, something I felt Alia and Karan visibly didn't get

Honestly i found it very irritating that koffee with karan was all about alia and ranbir, its a light hearted show and anything said there shouldn't be taken seriously but for me it was cringy how much they were hyped as a couple in the show as if its the only thing which exists. We are happy they got married and blah blah but so much screen time to the person who wasn't even there

I Fully understand vidyuts statement come on guys he is the most talented martial artists India has and also has won several accolades and still people don't give him the respect he deserves, I see many cmnts saying Vidyut villain,tiger hero combo will be 🔥🔥🔥🔥. Y not Vidyut hero, tiger villain. Tiger is not even half of what Vidyut is, and now Vidyut has also become a good actor.

I agree that Vidyut is possibly a better martial artist than Tiger. But he claimed to officially be the top martial artist in the world. That’s a big claim (and very hard to justify, regardless of the metrics used)…he’s not even in the top 50 martial arts ACTORS in the world.

when I started watching your channel I loved your content (of course every cinephile loves your content😀) because you seems like you love cinema truly 😍🤞 but I have problem with English because I didn't watch English content then. but after watching lot of Hollywood, K-drama, and many more movies from different languages or with subtitles now I watch your every video and I love it. I always wait for your videos. I am following TRP from 2020 and I am loving it. There are just few cinephiles who talk about cinema in deep like 5ocial, Cinemaan, etc. otherwise others make content on comics or Hollywood movies. Also reviewers do so average reviews they even don't talk about cinematic aspects. It seems like True cinephiles know better than them. But you are doing great job 👍 #cinephile 💖
Previously when I watched kwk I think all answers are genuine .I think they are preplanned to increase popularity of a actor .I remember Sara take Kartik name for dating and got a film ,now she wants to date Vijay .I'm sure she will get a film with Vijay or may be they promoting them as a couple bcoz they met previously may be movie is already signed
I was so excited for the KWK episode because from the Gully Boy promos you could tell Alia and Ranveer have great chemistry. They did have great chemistry in the episode no doubt, I still rewatch the episode just to hear them talk about their equation and Ranveer's mimicry, but it went so downhill from the quiz. At one point, it looked like Ranveer wanted to flip the table.
The first episode of KWK somewhat actually justified Kangna's reaction towards Alia and KJO
I personally don't like the way Kangna expresses it but she is not entirely at fault
Rightly so finally someone who gets it🙌 the thing about kangana that I admire the most is that she isn't afraid to put herself out there in public no matter how good and ugly it is which makes it less pretentious and more real,you may aline with her views and one may not and that's exactly how a non artificial person would be, whereas this clout of karan's that call themselves best friends with one another even though when we know that something like this just can't be true keeping in mind about there pasts that are intertwined, are so pretentious that they after a while just can't even hide it and are friends with one another only cuz of the benefits that these people reap as actors by becoming a part of this elite clique, all of their attitudes just scream privilege.

Recent we got some amazing ott series/movies, being 21 I still can't watch it with my family or even friends.

Lately I think kwk has become very shallow, all for movie promotions and ppl on couch trying best to please the host or other way around. Season 2 featured Mallika Sherawat and Sanjay Leela Bhansali and had more substance than while seasons lately.

IMO, the 'nepo bias' moment wasn't that awkward. The real awkward moment was when KJo wanted to talk about how they were vilified as a fraternity and Aalia quickly diverted the topic by saying how Ranveer is always unaware of what's happening around him. I think you forgot to mention Faridoon from Bollywood Hungama. According to me, he is the torch bearer of awkward questions and embarrassing the celebrities. He'll be evidently changing the question mid sentence and the responders take painfully long pauses before answering. It is a total cringe fest.

Honestly KWK ep 1 looked scripted but Ranveer just became cheeky and had sacrstic taunt that ohho nepo kids bias and it would have landed if joke would have taken but Alia just become self conscious and made it awkward.
I guess that part was Ranveer going off script so Alia couldn't handle it. In many intereactions she seems taken back or gets caught like 'what do I do now'.
Ranbir Kapoor also roasted Karan and his koffe wid Karan hamper saying " nothing it is, ghanta you get " 🤣🤣🤣😅😂😂😅
