I wanted to take a moment to remind everyone that Justin himself started and maintained this channel for others to gain insight into the organ donation process and to chronicle his personal journey with his health battles. There have never been promises of inclusion in his daily family life or promises that family members would be offering any information at all. They have been thoughtful and kind enough to voluntarily post updates along the way a few times and have always shared their thankfulness and appreciation for the prayers and support from the people following his journey here. While being curious is human nature, googling information and posting that information is not showing that you really do support and care. If we care, we simply pray and wait with respect for an update that someone in the family will give when they are ready. Although it is legal to search for personal information, it is tasteless to share it. Period. It is even more tasteless to argue about it. Regardless of how much you have allowed yourself to become personally invested. Please keep that in mind. What we do know is that the situation has been dire for some time now. We know that financial help and prayers are continually needed regardless of what is currently going on. So if you truly care please donate and share to the go fund me and continue with your prayers. Check in when you want to but don’t expect or demand things that we have not been promised nor are we entitled to. That shows the respect that this family deserves and also shows that you truly care. Being public about any of it is simply unnecessary. I hope everyone takes this post within context and I hope everyone has a blessed day.

Yes! And it sickens me when I see comments by people demanding updates. Let the family grieve. It doesn't matter how personally invested you have gotten. They owe us NOTHING.
I feel guilty for being at home and complaining about anything. You’re a good wife. Justin is obviously a good hubby. Lots of people love him. I’ll keep praying for him and your family. .

@@sabinadewit suffering is due to sin and the fallen world. The Garden of Eden, before the Fall, is how God designed it to be. Death itself is a consequence of sin. Man is an eternal being, but sin caused bodily death, although the soul is still eternal, which is why you must put your hope and trust in Jesus. Our life _after_ death will continue eternally, so it is more important to know _where_ you'll go _after_ your body dies. One day it will all be restored for those who love God. Even tho we will suffer in this life, we can have hope in the Lord Jesus.

Justin’s dad, Jim, posted an update in the comments section of Colleen’s FIRST video. A new liver has been found for Justin. I’m in Australia, but Jim said the surgery was set for 7am, but then updated it had been pushed back to 2pm.

Sweetheart don't feel guilty. You are in that man's life for a reason he needs you to carry on for your children while he fights. I know you are scared and tired and overwhelmed with emotion about how Justin is struggling but that man is obviously a fighter and he isn't going to let go easy! Look at all that he's fought through and I know he is getting strength from his amazing family. I'm sorry you all are going through this and will continue to keep you in my prayers.

I hope that the amount of love from all of Justin's followers outweigh the few horrible comments I'm seeing. I am mind blown at a few of these insensitive, rude, heartless comments. @@lilowanders4218 I’m sorry that is how you feel, but I’m sure no one , not his wife, not his medical team forced him to proceed with surgery. If his medical team thought for one second that after what he’s been through it was time to stop and move on to hospice, they would. Justin and his team are not stupid, this has been a long road for him so I’m sure he’s given plenty of thought to a DNR etc… and besides all that, this is his support & education channel. If you get nothing else from this, consider the importance of being an organ donor both living or deceased.

I am truly shocked that they are going to try another liver, when my husband had his surgery and they weren't sure if it was working and I ask about another liver and they said he was to weak to go through another surgery. Justin has proved to be much stronger than I thought possible. Please don't feel guilty for being able to go home, you have to keep your strength up young lady because you have so much to take care of, our children were grown when we went through all this and you have a little one. I was shocked they did the first transplant. Really shocked at another one. Such a strong will to live he has.
I’m shocked too, for different reasons. This will be this man’s fourth transplant, I think? There comes a time when you have to call it a day. Where competing human rights are at play, hard decisions have to be made. Organs are hard to come by, and donors have the right to expect that their organs will be given to those who are most likely to go on and live long lives.
Don’t get me wrong. I am so sorry that this man is so critically ill and I don’t want him to die. But he is almost certainly going to whether he has another liver transplant or not. He has a multitude of long term health problems and his body is systemically failing. I’m not saying that he doesn’t deserve to live. Of course I’m not. I’m just saying that at this point everything humanly possible has been done to prolong his life and I think that any more life prolonging measures will be futile.
What is the reason his liver keeps failing ? Is it just his health in general? This is his 5 liver I hope at some point one sticks for him .

I don’t know, Denni. But I think there comes a point where people need to be realistic. A fifth (?) liver is not going to save this man. It’s tragic, but medical science can only do so much. I hope his passing is peaceful and painless.

I'm so so sorry to hear this. If they don't have Justin on an airflow hospital bed, that may be something to look into. It prevents bed sores and will make him more comfortable since he doesn't have any weight on his bones. They are a bit loud, or they were when they first came out. But one would make a difference on his comfort level when he is awake and alert. Praying for Justin, you and your family. May God be with you during this storm and bring you through it. God bless.

@@coleengoodell3550 i agree. So sad. I have a family member just diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and never smoked. Another cousin died when her kids were 4 and 6 from ladder cancer. Another cousin just started her fight with multiple myeloma. Cancer sucks. Justin has been through so much and is still fighting, which amazes me as a ICU nurse, I don't see many who want to keep fighting. I pray he will be well and at home.
My mom was on a bed like that and she said it was horrible
@@JulieR73 yeah but they help prevent bed sores. Thats what they are for. Justin has no fat or muscle on him according to his wife. His skin is at risk from his illness and nutritional state and also being redound for so long. Im sure sedated most of the time so he won't move on his own. If you are alert and can move time to get rid of bed.
Until there is an update from the family one way or another, I just want to remind everyone there is a go fund me that has been set up for quite some time. The financial burden on his wife, I am sure, has been and will continue to be, astronomical. I am also sure that any size donation would be greatly appreciated no matter what. Just wanted to remind everyone it is still there and to share if you are inclined to. I hope everyone has a blessed day.

It is extremely difficult to understand how complex medical issues and pain can be unless you go through it personally or have a loved one. I saw yesterday from googling his name that he had passed away, but came here and sorted comments with newest first and seen that no one had commented about it. I didn't want to over step the family with commenting it first, but now many people have saw the same and commented. I am so sorry for your loss and the thousands of us who followed him through YT will greatly miss him. We never can understand the Lord's plan sometimes, but I hope he can bring comfort to you during this time. I have seen hundreds of comments from people on his channel saying they will now become an organ donor because of him. That is an amazing thing he accomplished by spreading awareness. My thoughts and prayers are with yall.

We haven't been through all the transplants. My daughter is on the list and waiting for her liver. She is in the hospital at this time. I know what you mean about no muscle no fat. Justin was offered a new liver last evening per his Dads post last evening and is scheduled today for surgery. Colleen when she recorded this did not know of the new liver. We are all praying for Justin and his family now.
I have plenty of room in my heart to pray for your daughter if you will allow me. My daughter is a warrior also, living with terminal cancer. Our motto is #nottoday !!! We celebrate life and each special moment and people in it.

Justin was offered a new liver last evening per a post from his Dad Jim and is in surgery hopefully. It was scheduled for 7am then changed to 2pm. Colleen filmed this video prior to knowing about a new liver coming there way. Goes to prove, Never give up!!

This is why having an advanced directive is so important and why these conversations need to take place before and during situations like this. I've let my family know exactly when to let me go "home" if my body gives up on me. I do not want to suffer. These conversations are hard but must be spoken among family. It will become an ethics issue.

Almost the same thing happened to me. I had a blood clot,in my bile duct. Got on the national emergency list . Thank God I received a second one. After a six months rehabilitation . I’m not fine. Hang in their lady. And keep praying .

I’m absolutely astounded at some of the comments left here, don’t people think before they post? Speculating isn’t helping. As much as we are all here to support Justin and his family we aren’t owed anything. Can we try and remember that right now this family is going through so so much and coming online is probably so far back in their minds. This poor wife and mother looks exhausted and I hate to think of any of the family coming online reading some of these comments. No one should speculate on anyone’s passing. I urge people to think, think again and then think even more before posting. You may mean no harm but comments can be read in so many different ways.

No one is speculating. His dad literally got on here and posted that he did not pass on the said day someone posted. He did not say he was alive either so. There was also a REAL obituary that is now private I’m sure because of everyone posting from CZcams.

My sweet sister died on Saturday morning while waiting on a liver and kidneys for transplant. She was only 49. Her miracle never came. I am so happy that he got his. Prayers for a great recovery for him.
I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my brother, who was my only sibling, in December - losing a sibling, especially after we'd already lost both our parents, is so hard because it was the last connection to my family of origin who knew me my whole life. Keeping you in my prayers, Kathy!

I am praying for you and Justin your entire family. I know exactly what you are going through. I lost my husband to cirrhosis 13 months ago. His heart was too weak to be put on the list for a transplant. We have a beautiful 8 year old daughter together. And as Father's Day approaches tomorrow she will look up to the heavens and ask that question one more time Mommy can he hear me mommy can you see me? And every time she asked the question I tell her the same thing he is your angel in no more pain watching over you every minute of every day. I pray that Justin get another liver!! I also cry if you have enough strength to help him get well. I know it is easier said than done but please while they are taking care of him please take care of yourself he needs you. There is some obituary around on the internet....but it is on a crap site full of advertisements.
No respectable funeral home would post an obituary before family made the announcement of death on their social media first.

My Advice as a Woman with 2 young kids whose Husband became Ill and later passed. I can say with ALL Honesty that I NEVER, not ONCE allowed Guilt to invade any part of my Already stressed Mind and Soul. I MADE sure he got the Best Treatment and was by his side for every treatment and most every Hospital stay. All the while trying to keep the house as normal as I could for our 5 and 10 yr old boys. I had his Parents to help me, but I felt it was MY obligation and my LOVE for him that I did it willingly and with a Heart filled with Quiet Inner Dread. In the end he was able to come home and spent his last days with us. Please be kind to yourself and Remember:
You can only make the best Decisions based on the Knowledge you have at that time ….
Praying for you all. When you are feeling guilty, just remember Justin would not want you to feel that way. You are being a wonderful wife and mother and that's what Justin and your child need you to be.
Exactly. Please don't feel guilty for anything. Don't do that to yourself. Someone has to keep your home together so that eventually Justin can come home to it. You have to be healthy for your son as well.
A live donor could give a part of their liver and grow it back in a few weeks. I pray Justin gets a liver that works good for him soon. In the meanwhile, I pray Justin gets stronger. Wouldn't it be great if this current liver has a miraculous healing? All things are possible. ~~~((hugs)) and continuous prayers~~~
My heart just breaks for you. I came across your channel looking for any info on liver failure/ transplants because my nephew was in ICU with liver failure. Unfortunately it was too late for him and he passed but all my prayers and hopes now go out to you and Justin. The one baby step forward and two steps back thing is so emotionally exhausting. Please take care of yourself as well.

I started watching Justins videos a while ago and I was very sorry he didn’t make it. I was blown away by how positive and strong and good he was. What an example. I come back now and then if I feel I need some inspiration. His legacy lives on. I wish I could be half the man he was. God bless. X
